GRANADILLA (BEST ROUGHIE) is a nice type of filly. First trial saw her sit last and just amble home, second trial saw her put on the pace and she stuck on nicely. She should get a lovely run from barrier (5).

THINK LIKE A BIRD has hit the line strongly in both trials and looks to have talent. 1400m should suit and she’ll get every opportunity from barrier (2) with a soft run.

MEDAILLE was very unlucky last start. If she had got out sooner with some luck, she would have won. Blinkers go on here and she looks the one to beat.

SO SPLENDID covered extra ground on debut and wasn't beaten far, she can improve too.

SELECTIONS: No3 GRANADILLA, No 8 Think Like A Bird, No4 Medaille, No7 So Splendid.

VALUE RUNNER: No3 Granadilla.

R2 2.30pm TAB PLATE 1400m

COSGROVE is the sole debutant and he has hit the line nicely in his last two trials, 1400m looks suitable on debut. The three-year-old colt by Sebring looks to have plenty of upside and late market support on course would be of no surprise.

POINT OF ORDER should improve sharply with the blinkers going on. He's bred well and just appeared to get lost on debut. He should take a lot of improvement from that and can win this at each-way odds.

SILENT WARRIOR showed ability in first prep. The colt by Fastnet Rock hit the line hard to win a recent trial and 1400m looks perfect for him.

CHAUSSURE ran on strongly for a close second on debut to First Approval, who won again after that. Two recent trials have been encouraging.

SELECTIONS: No2 COSGROVE, No7 Point Of Order, No10 Silent Warrior, No1 Chaussure.

VALUE RUNNER: No2 Cosgrove.

I'M TROUBLE will find this easier than the BM81 race he contested last start and his previous form was very consistent, albeit without winning. He gets a lovely chance here from barrier (2) with only 54kg and Jay Ford on board.

DER MEISTER on his best form would be a hope in a race like this. Blinkers are on for the first time which may just give him the edge he needs against moderate opposition.

CATON was very tough last week, but rises 5kg here. The eight-year-old still has to be respected with his record at this track.

KARAKA LASS has genuine upside and wasn’t too far away last start, after an impressive win two starts ago over 2000m.

SELECTIONS: No6 I’M TROUBLE, No2 Der Meister, No1 Caton, No4 Karaka Lass.

VALUE RUNNER: No6 I’m Trouble.

R4 3.40pm TAB.COM.AU HANDICAP 1200m

CIARLET is well bred and was third in a hot race when resuming. She was runner-up to Ravi second-up last prep before failing on wet tracks at her next two before the break. The weight is a concern, but she’s shown her class and has to be the one to beat here.

INFRA DIG impressed when letting down from off the speed to win drawing away at Gosford first-up. With only nine runners in the field again, the three-year-old filly may be able to do the same.

SANAYA had to drag right back to last in that Ciarlet race last time and did her best work late after coming wide. She should get a better run through the early stages in this race.

MY PSYCHIATRIST has been well held in her trials, but they've been in strong heats and she showed last prep that she knows how to win.

SELECTIONS: No2 CIARLET, No7 Infra Dig, No8 Sanaya, No3 My Psychiatrist.

R5 4.20pm #THERACES HANDICAP 1000m

WORLDLY IMPACT (BEST BET) is going super this prep. He was a dominant winner at Gosford and then again at Hawkesbury before having no luck when trapped four deep the trip last start. Despite that he was still finding the line and wasn't dropping out as he was entitled to. This is a very winnable race for him.

SELECTIONS: No3 WORLDLY IMPACT, No4 I’m Rockin, No6 Golden Shoes, No10 Cab Fair.

VALUE RUNNER: No4 I’m Rockin.

R6 5.00pm PRO-RIDE HANDICAP 1600m

CHAMPAGNE READY (NEXT BEST BET) went from 1200m to 1600m in eight days last time and got way too far back early in the race, which proved costly. Up from Melbourne and from barrier (3) should be in a much handier position as they turn for home.

SELECTIONS: No6 CHAMPAGNE READY, No8 Katswiri, No7 Shanakee, No2 Rosaleisha.

VALUE RUNNER: No4 Romney’s Choice.

BIG ARTY is a real talent and he's here off a spell on the back of a quiet trial where he hit the line nicely. Will get back from barrier (10) and attack the line strongly.

LUCKY FISH is proving costly to follow, but he’s rock hard fit and on the quick back-up.

COTTAGE was very disappointing second-up, she was a bit keen in-running which was used as an excuse. She’s much better than that and has to be a winning chance again.

PROMAS is well bred and has trialled soundly enough ahead of her debut for the Hawkes yard. Keep an eye on any market moves.

SELECTIONS: No1 BIG ARTY, No8 Lucky Fish, No5 Cottage, No10 Promas.
