The running of the $3 million Cox Plate is the highlight of a bumper card.

The running of the $3 million Cox Plate is the highlight of a bumper card. Glamour mare Winx will attempt to emulate the great Sunline and win back-to-back Cox Plates, but she will have Hartnell, the dashing import who has been sweeping all before him this spring, to contend with in a spectacular weight-for-age championship at 5pm. The track will be perfect, rated at a Good 4, and the weather hopefully will remain fine with a cloudy day forecast. The rail will be at the true position.
