Race 1 11:40am QUAYCLEAN PLATE 1800m

POLEMIC gets his chance to win a race here, he hit the line powerfully over 1550 and the step up to 1800 looks ideal. Avdulla steering ticks all boxes.

SANS CLICHÉ should enjoy the step up in trip here, he hit the line well over 1600 and has his first run at home which is a bonus.

ADATTO gets the blinkers on for the first time and drops back to 1800 with this as weak a race as he has contested in a while.

HOLD ALL TICKETS was good behind Polemic last start, and you have to give her a chance following that form.

SELECTIONS: No 5 POLEMIC, No 8 Sans Cliché, No 1 Adatto, No 10 Hold All Tickets.

VALUE RUNNER: No 8 Sans Cliché.

LUBITON stuck on quite well first-up, she drops in grade here and should be fitter for that effort. Clark aboard adds to her chances here.

MEDAILLE won well last start, the form around her was quite good going into that race and this looks quite a soft option given latest win.

MISS BALLANTINE drops in grade and was slightly disappointing last start, given the soft time she had of it. But down in grade she needs to be considered.

SWAMPLAND comes up from a good race in Melbourne where the form should stack up quite well. Noonan comes for only one ride and she must be considered.

SELECTIONS: No 4 LUBITON, No 1 Medaille, No 7 Miss Ballantine, No 5 Swampland.

VALUE RUNNER: No 5 Swampland.

Race 3 1:00pm RIGHT2DRIVE HANDICAP 1400m

MADE IN CHINA (BEST BET) should have won last start, simple as that. He didn’t get the best ride and when he needed clear room he didn’t find it. The step up to 1400 should suit here. The only slight worry is Reith aboard but hopefully the horse can carry him to victory.

FLOW has strong form around him and resumes at 1400 which should suit. That form is fantastic, but without race fitness there are concerns.

SELECTIONS: No 3 MADE IN CHINA, No 1 Flow, No 2 Silent Warrior, No 6 Cosmic Engine.

VALUE RUNNER: No 6 Cosmic Engine.

Race 4 1:40pm GIRVAN WAUGH HANDICAP 2400m

SUPER HAZE brings the different form here and was a strong winner at Geelong on cup day; kept in good rhythm. He is a strong stayer and the one to beat.

PLOT TWIST was a dominant winner last start at Kembla over 2400, the step up here looks ideal and he should be able to mix it at this level.

CATON has been good at winning his last two, it’s hard to knock a rock-hard fit horse who is in form and he will be thereabouts also.

SOVIET COURAGE down in grade and up in distance suits here, he is well-weighted after the claim and has to be given a chance.

SELECTIONS: No 3 SUPER HAZE, No 5 Plot Twist, No 2 Caton, No 1 Soviet Courage.

VALUE RUNNER: No 3 Super Haze.

OTTER was dominant when breaking her maiden and could take up the speed here yet again and prove to be the one to run down.

ZELDA was good when resuming, she hit the line well in what will prove to be a good race. She is well-weighted after the claim and will be in the finish.

GIRL SUNDAY resumes after two solid trials, her form at the back-end of her last preparation was quite good and enough for a race like this.

SANAYA will appreciate the step up to 1400 here. She ran on in fast time last start but she has a habit of turning it up and that’s a concern.

SELECTIONS: No 6 OTTER, No 1 Zelda, No 2 Girl Sunday, No 9 Sanaya.

VALUE RUNNER: No 2 Girl Sunday.

DIXIE CHICK gets her chance to break through here after having next to no luck last start at a vital time. She drops in grade and respect.

REALISE POTENTIAL was good last start in a brutal speed race. He drops in weight and gets Collett here. The Pride stable are starting to fire and he has to be a chance.

RADCLIFFE drops well in grade here and he wasn’t disgraced behind Flying Artie. Before that he was good behind Barthelona who looks to be a group horse in the making.

SONIC SWISH has trialled well between runs and has another chance here despite the big weight.

SELECTIONS: No 5 DIXIE CHICK, No 6 Realise Potential, No 7 Radcliffe, No 1 Sonic Swish.

VALUE RUNNER: No 7 Radcliffe.

KAEPERNICK comes up as the (NEXT BEST) here after he was awesome when a mile off them in the Lightning. He drops massively in grade here and if he is able to sit a touch closer in the run, he is more than able to close them down. Jennings had the ride on him last start and should only benefit from that experience.

CRAFTINESS has a good second-up record and has trialled well between runs and has to be given a chance from the good gate.

KURO if at his best is well worth a chance here. He has shown he is well above average in the past, it’s a case of whether he wants to show it or not which is the problem.

BACHMAN resumes here after a good preparation without winning, he has an imposing record and must be respected.

SELECTIONS: No 2 KAEPERNICK, No 6 Craftiness, No 8 Kuro, No 9 Bachman.

VALUE RUNNER: No 9 Bachman.

SWEET REDEMPTION (BEST ROUGHIE) should be fitter for her first-up run. She was asked to do a lot on a brutal speed and was entitled to knock up late. Second-up to the mile should suit and last time in she mixed it in better races than this.

BIG ARTY was good first-up when off the track, he managed to run on in good time and should have been improved for that run. Second-up to the mile is a bit of a concern, but out to Randwick should suit him.

DREAMFORCE steps up in grade here and is in great form this preparation having won his last two. Could take up the speed and roll along. The winkers have been added to keep his mind on the job as he has been stargazing recently.

MIAMI DADE got way too far out of his ground last start. The mile at Randwick should suit him better and he is a chance.

SELECTIONS: No 4 SWEET REDEMPTION, No 3 Big Arty, No 2 Dreamforce, No 5 Miami Dade.

VALUE RUNNER: No 4 Sweet Redemption.

Race 9 5:35pm PRECISE AIR HANDICAP 1400m

JEMADAR after missing the kick last start he was asked to do a lot in the run and that told late, but he did fight when challenged. Getting up to 1400 should suit here and after the claim he is well-weighted.

OUR BEATNIK resuming here creates interest. When he was first-up last time in, he was a dominant winner at Scone over their carnival. From the draw you’d expect him to go back and have the last crack at them and can produce fresh.

BETTER BE GOOD meets Jemadar worse off at the weights for winning last start but he has drawn perfectly here and has to be a chance.

LUCKY FISH has been thereabouts in recent times, he drops in grade here and has to be given a chance.

SELECTIONS: No 8 JEMADAR, No 3 Our Beatnik, No 13 Better Be Good, No 5 Lucky Fish.

VALUE RUNNER: No 3 Our Beatnik.
