ZEPHORA will strip far superior for his debut effort when he was pressured in the closing stages to run a close second over 1200m here on November 3. Apprentice Dylan Dunn again rides but cannot use his claim and he will carry his published weight on 58kg. ASTLEY was the red-hot $2.15 favourite but was no match for the runaway winner Tiffany’s Lass in a 1457m maiden at Kilmore on October 30. He gets the services of premier jockey Craig Williams here and makes good appeal. SPOKEN WORD was specked in the market at $7.50 into $6 before finishing second over 1300m at Cranbourne on November 4. He gets a senior rider to ride him at his third career start here in Noel Callow and is a danger. LITTLE MISS TOFFEE ran into a smart filly in Soviet Secret when running a very close fifth at $19 over 1400m here on October 27. She is against the boys here and gets senior rider Luke Nolen as her new pilot. Respect. SELECTIONS: No9 ZEPHORA, No2 Astley, No6 Spoken Word, No12 Little Miss Toffee. R6 8.30pm DAD AND DAVE'S TURF F&M BM64 HANDICAP 1400m
FILLE CHAMPAGNE can redeem herself with her punters after going down to finish third as a $2.25 favourite over 1200m here in this class on October 27. Ace jockey Craig Williams is the new pilot and she only rises a kilo to 56.5kg. JAMAICAN RAIN was a hot $2.20 favourite at her debut and she did not disappoint her backers when striding away to a 3 ½ length win in a 1200m maiden at Echuca on November 1. Goes up a whopping 3.5kg to 59.5kg here. ANTRIM BELLE was steady in the betting at $5 before posting a 1 ½ length win over 1400m here on November 3. She goes up a half kilo to 59.5kg here on her return and rates as one of the better chances. MONAJET (BEST ROUGHIE) pulled up with a cut to her knee after finishing third at Traralgon over 1100m on October 29. Senior jockey Patrick Maloney gets the ride here replacing an apprentice and she rates as an each-way chance. SELECTIONS: No8 FILLE CHAMPAGNE, No3 Jamaican Rain, No1 Antrim Belle, No7 Monajet. VALUE RUNNER: No7 Monajet.
R7 9pm GENDORE BM70 HANDICAP 1200m
POPOVICH (BEST BET) is a lightly-raced four-year-old returning here. He looked impressive winning two straight as a $2.80 and $2.90 favourite at his maiden campaign earlier this year. The son of Showcasing is trained by master trainer Robert Smerdon and has top jockey Craig Williams venturing here to stay with this fellow. Williams rode the gelding in a warm up trial over 800m at Cranbourne on October 17. He weaved his way home to be narrowly beaten on the line running on a Heavy 8 track. He gets a Good 4 here and will be hard to beat. SELECTIONS: No3 POPOVICH, No6 He’s A Moral, No9 Purrpussful, No2 Statton. VALUE RUNNER: No9 Statton.
R8 9.30pm CASEY CARDINIA FOUNDATION BM64 HANDICAP 1600m

He has a change of jockey, with Ryan Maloney replacing Brad Rawiller here and will carry the same weight on 59kg but he is better drawn in gate (2). He has a perfect record over this trip of one start for one win and a record of a win and a second at three starts at this track. SELECTIONS: No3 LE BOSS, No5 Riley’s Rocket, No2 Lunar Spin. No8 Casinoholic. VALUE RUNNER: No8 Casinoholic.
