Race 2 1:39pm NHP ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING PRODUCTS 3 OR LESS STARTS MAIDEN PLATE 1200m
EGG TART (BEST BET) should have trotted in on debut. He is still looking for clear running today! He gets a good jockey change here as Roche is an accomplished Irish jockey from Dermot Weld’s. If he can get clear running from the top of the straight, he will blow this lot away.
SELECTIONS: No 8 EGG TART, No 6 Epitomise, No 3 Amazing Story, No 1 Bold Chance.
VALUE RUNNER: No 1 Bold Chance.
OCEAN SPRAY (BEST ROUGHIE) looks well set up for a first-up run here. She has form around some good horses and looks set for a good first-up run.
VALIDATE was quite good last start and it was run in good time. She has quite a good second-up record and has to be given a chance.
DELUXE looks to lead them up here and should give them something to run down. She drops 5kgs for her last start run and needs to be considered.
PRINCE HIGH comes out of a good race last start. His winning record is shocking but he has a place chance.
SELECTIONS: No 1 OCEAN SPRAY, No 3 Validate, No 4 Deluxe, No 7 Prince High.
VALUE RUNNER: No 1 Ocean Spray.
Race 4 2:49pm ROBINSON CLASS 2 HANDICAP 1200m
CASHENTI was good against the bias last start at Wagga. The step up to 1200m won’t worry her as she has previous form over 1200m.
WHAT COULD BE resumes here and has a brilliant record at the track. Yet to win first-up but he has placed on all three occasions and he has a huge chance here.
CABEZA DE VACA may need further than this, but has blinkers on first-up and Gai has booked King, which is a show of intent here. He will get going early and be hard to run down.
MR BONJOVE looks to be the next best here.
SELECTIONS: No 4 CASHENTI, No 2 What Could Be, No 1 Cabeza De Vaca, No 3 Mr Bonjove.
VALUE RUNNER: No 4 Cashenti.
Race 5 3:21pm WESTPAC RESCUE HELICOPTER SERVICE MAIDEN HANDICAP 1350m
FANFARON (NEXT BEST) has form around Morton’s Fork last preparation and has trialled quite well leading into this first-up run. As a 3yo by Helmet, he should improve into his 3yo season given how some of the Helmets have been going in Australia this season, as well as in Europe.
SELECTIONS: No 1 FANFARON, No 10 Highleigh, No 4 Esempio, No 11 Shield Wall.
VALUE RUNNER: No 11 Shield Wall.
