HEATHER HONEY has been racing in good style and looks to have her hoof on the till. At her latest effort she ran a strong second over 1400m at Ballarat on November 21. She gets the services of ace jockey Craig Williams here.

PRIME APPEAL was easing in the market before finishing sixth over 1740m at Sale in a maiden on November 15. Gets the services of former top Kiwi jockey Michael Walker which is a bonus and not drawn too badly in gate (8).

CHERUB came in for strong support when backed from $7 into $4.40 before finishing a close third over 1600m at Moe on November 11. She has been freshened up for this and being a daughter of High Chaparral will like this trip.

TALK OF CALIFORNIA is a product of the Darren Weir stable and she can go one better with luck. She gets in well on weights, with the 2kg claim of apprentice Ben Allen reducing her handicap to 56kg and was a good second last start at Cranbourne on November 19.

SELECTIONS: No6 HEATHER HONEY, No8 Prime Appeal, No3 Cherub, No11 Talk Of California.

MY OBSESSION gives leading trainer Darren Weir strong claims in the first two races. She was a most sound effort when finishing fourth over 1600m against her own sex at Sandown on November 16. Ben Allen rides again and his 2kg claim reduced her impost to 58kg.

ROKEBY RED has been as consistent as clockwork and looms with claims against her own sex here. Posted a narrow win last start over 1600m at Cranbourne on November 19. With apprentice Michael Dee’s 1.5kg allowance she drops to 57.5kg.

BALLYBRIT is a mare with a bit to like against her own sex here. She gets a riding change with apprentice Dylan Dunn riding and his 1.5kg claim reducing her handicap to 56.5kg. She ground away when finishing fifth over 1600m at Sandown last start on November 16.

LITTLESNITZ was well liked at $4 when she scored an easy ¾ length win over 1450m at Kyneton on November 18. Top provincial jockey Linda Meech stays as the pilot and she drops two kilos to 56kg here. Each-way.

SELECTIONS: No1 MY OBSESSION, No3 Rokeby Red, No4 Ballybrit, No8 Littlesnitz.

VALUE RUNNER: No8 Little Snitz.

FOUR CARAT meets a hardened bunch of stayers here. He ran on nicely in the Sandown Cup (3200m) at his last start on November 12. Trainer Chris Waller has employed Craig Williams to replace Ben Melham and he looms as one of the better chances.

BULLISH STOCK again is one of a brigade of toughened stayers. He is rock hard now and on his last start third over 3000m here on November 11 he looms as a good chance. Michael Walker replaces Dwayne Dunn and he carries 56kg.

SLY ROMANCE is a stayer who had no luck at his last start when caught deep for most of the journey when running ninth over 2300m at Ballarat on November 19. Ben Allen is the new pillion and his 2kg claim sees him carry 57kg.

NOMIS is a South Australian galloper launching a raid here. His form is solid and last start was a good effort as a $4.80 chance when running third over 2100m at Gawler on November 23. Gets in with good claims on 55kg here.

SELECTIONS: No1 FOUR CARAT, No4 Bullish Stock, No2 Sly Romance, No5 Nomis.

BRUGAL REWARD makes appeal in a wide open betting race. Apprentice Beau Mertens keeps the ride after she ran second over 1000m against her own sex and age at Sandown on November 16. She carries 58kg, which is a kilo more than last time.

DIVERTENTE is out to keep the wood on a few of her opposition after scoring a good win against her own age and sex over 1000m at Sandown on November 16. Apprentice Ben Thompson’s 2kg claim sees her carry 58kg, which is up two kilos.

CAYMAN DAYZE is a talented Adelaide filly and it pays to draw a line through her last-start fifth over 1050m at Morphettville on October 15. With apprentice Jack Martin’s 3kg claim she carries 57.5kg here.

SHE’S BENEFICIAL was plunged from $13 into $6.50 before racing away to a brilliant three- length maiden win over 1100m at Seymore against her own sex on November 19. She jumps up 3kg to 59.5kg here.

SELECTIONS: No2 BRUGAL REWARD, No3 Divertente. No1 Cayman Dayze, No7 She’s Beneficial.

VALUE RUNNER: No7 She’s Beneficial.

FRAULEIN RUSTIE (BEST BET) She pounded her rivals into the ground with a brilliant 2 ¼ length win over 1000m at Wangaratta on November 14. Top provincial jockey Linda Meech keeps the ride and she drops to 58kg. She carried 60kg to win last start and has won at two of her three starts. This four-year-old is showing a great deal of promise and looms as one of the better bets of the night.

SELECTIONS: No5 FRAULEIN RUSTIE, No2 Ahead Of Time, No9 Patient, No1 Pantheress.

VALUE RUNNER: No2 Ahead Of Time.

RED TICKER is very honest and with luck from a good alley in five can repeat the dose of two starts ago. Latest he ran a solid second over 1600m carrying 60.5kg with Noel Callow on top. Callow keeps the ride and he gets the same weight here and makes good appeal.

VANTAGGIO is again going to prove hard to catch as he enjoyed running along a bit. He ran a solid fourth over 1500m here on November 18. He gets a change of rider with apprentice Michael Dee taking the reins and his 1.5kg allowance sees him carry 59kg.

LUNAR SPIN was a steady favourite before finishing a sound fourth over 1600m at Pakenham on November 17. Victoria’s premier jockey Craig Williams again rides and he is weighted on 59.5kg again here. He had a 21-day gap between starts last time.

LE BOSS eased noticeably in betting from $2.70 to $3.90 before finishing third over 1600m at Pakenham on November 17. He gets a change in rider with Luke Nolen taking control and should strip fitter with a shorter gap between starts here.

SELECTIONS: No2 RED TICKER, No3 Vantaggio, No5 Lunar Spin, No8 Le Boss.

TICKED (BEST ROUGHIE) defied a big drift from $3.50 to $5 before scoring a big win over 1600m at Cranbourne on November 19. She raced against her own sex that day and has a bad alley, drawn in gate (14). She does have ace jockey Craig Williams as her new pilot.

SPRING ACTION returns here from an assault at Morphettville where she had no luck in finishing fourth over 1950m on November 12. Team Hayes produces here for a crack at the Valley where, with apprentice Regan Bayliss to ride, can bounce back to form.

ONYA KEITHY has been consistent without winning. He ran a solid second over 2000m at Pakenham on November 17. With Jamie Mott staying on top and again carrying 60kg he looms as an each-way chance in this field.

SELECTIONS: No11 TICKED, No7 Spring Action, No3 Onya Keithy.

VALUE RUNNER: No3 Onya Keithy.

TOP ME UP (NEXT BEST BET) hails from the powerhouse yard of Team Hawkes and has been freshened up for this race. At his last start he ran a good fourth to Metallic Crown over 1350m at Rosehill on October 29. Stable jockey Dwayne Dunn’s son Dylan takes the ride and his 1.5kg claim sees him carry 58.5kg in this race. Beautifully bred four-year-old who has a good record when racing fresh. And like in this field.

SELECTIONS: No9 TOP ME UP, No2 Ozi Choice, No6 Lady Selkirk, No8 Statton.

VALUE RUNNER: No8 Statton.
