LADY ESPRIT Has been as consistent as clockwork and gets her chance here aided by the 1.5kg claim of apprentice Michael Dee on 56kg in a deep race. This is no easy affair but on her last start second over 1000m at Moonee Valley against her own sex she deserves to be fancied here.

INFRA DIG Has yet to miss a cheque at her four starts. She deserves to be in this with a showing on her last-start second over 1100m at Rosehill on November 12. Top jockey Craig Williams rides for the Godolphin stable.

DEJA BLUE Posted an explosive first-up win over 1000m at Sandown on November 16. Leading apprentice Jye McNeil keeps the ride and his 1.5kg claim reduces her handicap down to 57kg. She will be there.

R2 – 1.35pm. Café Adamo Handicap – 1600m

DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR Has an excellent record of two wins and a second at three starts. Latest beat Galaxy Raider on a track bias at Ballarat over 1600m on November 19. Goes up 2.5kg to 58.5kg for the win.

LE BOSS Was backed into a $4 favourite before finishing a solid sixth over 1600m at Moonee Valley on December 2. He is rock solid and gets Craig Williams replacing Luke Nolen at his back up here.

ON WINGS Gets a kilo weight relief dropping to 58kg after carrying 59kg to score a one-length win first up over 1400m at Ballarat on November 21. Mark Zahra replaces stable jockey Brad Rawiller and looms with claims.

R3 – 2.10pm. Hollywood Nails Handicap – 1700m

TAVI BAY Is a lightly raced mare who has a good record. She scored an imposing win over 1700m here on November 3 at her last start. She plummets 4.5kg here down to 55.5kg and gets last year’s Melbourne Cup winning jockey Michelle Payne to ride again.

HELL OR HIGHWATER Has won at three of her past four starts. Comes here off a smart win over 1600m at Moonee Valley against her own sex on November 26. She does cop a penalty up two kilos to 56kg for that effort.

LOPARTEGA Ran a very solid second to Hell Or Highwater over 1600m at her last start over 1600m at Moonee Valley on November 26. She goes down a half kilo to 54.5kg so she meets the winner far superior on weight terms.

JENNIO Has good claims here with the 2kg weight allowance of apprentice Ben Allen reducing her handicap to a mere 52kg. Ran a solid second over 2040m here on November 18 and makes appeal.

SELECTIONS: No4 TAVI BAY, No2 Hell Or Highwater, No6 Lopartega, No8 Jennio

Went out on a high with a clever win over 1400m at Caulfield on July 30. He does drop a kilo to 56kg and will be charging home.

BASSETT Had excuses when he was nailed in the shadows of the post first up over 1200m at Kilmore on November 22. He was the $2.15 favourite that day and should get better odds here in a harder field.

CHIAVARI Had support with bookmakers backed into $6 before finishing a half length second over 1000m against her own sex first up at Moonee Valley on November 26. She drops from 56kg to 54.5kg with Jake Bayliss’s claim.

He looks a highly promising stayer and will be improved sharply on his close second to Shikarpour over 2300m at Ballarat on November 19. EMPHATICALLY Is also entered for Moonee Valley on Friday night. Trainer Ciaron Maher has put jockey Linda Meech back on after her last-start fourth over 1300m at Sandown on November 23. She must rate on her first-up obliteration at Swan Hill.

INCVINCIBLE AL Was having his third start back from a spell when charging home to win over 1000m at Pakenham on December 3. He is on the quick back up but is now race fit and should be thereabouts.
