No9 SMOOTH WHISKEY Came in for support when finished a smart second in a 1300m maiden here on December 7. Drops a kilo here to 57kg and drawn a good gate in (7). No10 ZARTINI Was having his third start back from a spell when finishing close to the second placed Smooth Whiskey in a 1300m maiden here on December 7. He is now fully wound up.

R4 – 3pm Thoroughbred Club Handicap – 1300m

No8 MISS SYDNEY Struck a bog track at her Victorian debut when running third over 1200m at Kyneton on December 8. She eased from $3.30 to $4.40 and with the 2kg claim of apprentice Ben Allen here carries 56kg. Blinkers are off. No7 FAST TYCOON Scored an imposing win in a 1300m maiden here on December 7. Beat Smooth Whiskey (R3) that day when backed into a $1.75 favourite. Mark Zahra is the new rider. No11 TYCOON BEAUTY Ran a great second over 1100m in a fillies and mares’ maiden at Bendigo on November 30. Drops 3kg to 54.5kg with Jack Martin’s 3kg claim. No3 REWARD THE DREAM Is lightly raced but cops his share of weight here with apprentice Jye McNeil’s 1.5kg claim reducing his impost to 59.5kg. Good win at Werribee last start on November 29.

No8 TURFONIC Hails from a top stable and can improve on his second over 1400m here when carrying 60kg on December 7. He stays on the same weight and will strip fitter. No12 STONE WARRIOR Was powering home late to snatch a maiden win over 1300m at Bendigo on November 30. Careered away by 1 ¼ lengths at the end and on the same weight here on 58.5kg. No14 WINSTON WOLFE Named after Mr Fixit in the magnificent Pulp Fiction movie, he burst home to win by 1 ¼ lengths in a 1200m maiden at Moonee Valley first up on December 9. Goes up a kilo to 58kg here but must rate highly. No2 LORD TENNYSON Had no weight on 54kg when a hard fought second over 1400m at Warrnambool on December 1. Beau Mertens’ 2kg claim reduces his impost to 59kg here and respect.

R6 – 4pm Spicer Thoroughbreds Handicap – 1500m

No3 DANE THUNDER (BEST BET) Posted an effortless 2 ¼ length win over 1521m at Geelong on December 4. With apprentice Jack Martin’s 3kg claim he carries 57kg – a drop of 2kg on his last start so he makes heaps of appeal. He was well liked at $2.50 last time and should find a nice spot in the field from gate (5). No2 DEJA BLUE Was raised in class and did not disgrace when running seventh down the straight 1000m at Flemington on December 10. With Dylan Dunn’s 1.5kg claim carries 58.5kg and goes around the bend. No1 NEW SUMMER NIGHT Finished strongly to post a smart win here over 1300m against her own sex on December 7. Dylan Dunn’s 1.5kg claim reduces her weight to 59kg – but is up 2.5kg on her last start. No6 LASAYETTE Will be stalking New Summer Night with a vengeance after running a good second to her over 1300m here on December 7. Ben Allen’s 2kg claims sees her carry a good weight on 56.5kg. No11 RISING HOPE Never gave up chasing New Summer Night here last start on December 7. She gives trainer Darren Weir the second string to Lasayette.

No11 CRAFTY DEVIL Gave a good effort against her own sex when running sixth over 1800m here on December 7.
