No10 OSCIETRA (BEST BET) Has a massive reputation to live up to being a daughter of the unbeaten champion Black Caviar, who won all of her 25 races. Has been given a perfect preparation for her debut showing good speed at two jump-outs. She is from the leading two-year-old yard of Team Hayes.

MASTER ZEPHYR Was soundly beaten by stablemate High Church in the Werribee Cup and again looms as a danger here on 52kg with the aid of the 2kg claim of apprentice Ben Allen.

FLYING LIGHT Defied a betting drift from $8 to $14 to post an effortless win over 2000m at Flemington on December 17. Apprentice Regan Bayliss rides again and carries the same weight on 54kg. Rates highly.

KOURKAM Gets a serious riding change with Group 1 winning rider Kerrin McEvoy replacing a 3kg apprentice on his last start fourth over 1600m here on December 16. French stayer and will relish distance increase.

No2 CROCODILE ROCK (NEXT BEST BET) Hails from the Melbourne Cup-winning team of trainer Robert Hickmott. The Irish import was compelling at his sole Australian start when winning easily over 2100m at Sandown in April. Stable jockey Katelyn Mallyon takes the ride at 61kg, which is up 3kgs on his debut Australian win.

R4 – 3.20pm Nouvelle Star Handicap - 1000m

SCANDIMANIA The trainer has gone for the 2kg claim of leading apprentice Ben Allen to reduce her impost to 60kg in her bid for a hat-trick here. She is up a half-kilo on her last win and is good chance in a deep race.

MAGNA ROSSA Was strongly backed from $21 into $11 before finishing a strong second over 1000m here on December 10. That was a great effort but does go up to 58.5kg from 54kg last start.

ANNRHON Resumed from a 97-day break to claim an imposing win over 1121m at Geelong on December 15. Dylan Dunn rides again and his 1.5kg claim reduces her weight to 56.5kg.

R5 – 4.00pm Red Tempo Handicap – 1400m

SNITZSON Is a lightly raced three-year-old with plenty of upside in another deep race. He was four deep and fought hard to run fourth against his own age over 1400m on December 17. He drops a half-kilo to 57.5kg and has Mark Zahra riding.

SECRET PROPHET Was well backed into a $3 favourite before finishing third over 1300m at Bendigo on December 18. Brad Rawiller gets the nod again and trainer Darren Weir has the blinkers back on.

MISS SYDNEY Is another newcomer to the Darren Weir camp who is flying. Smashed her rivals over 1300m at Sandown on December 21 and with Ben Allen’s 2kg claim carries 55.5kg.

DEJU BLUE Gets a change of rider with apprentice Ben Thompson on after she won against her own sex over 1300m at Sandown on December 21. Carries 58.5kg with Thompson’s 2kg claim.

DIVINE MR ARTIE Racing in a purple patch and was impressive when winning by 3 lengths over 1200m here on December 10. Goes up to 58kg from 56kg but can land a hat-trick here.

ROUGH JUSTICE Gets a riding change with Perth Group 1 winning jockey Damian Lane replacing Michael Dee. Good second over 1400m here last start on December 10. Can loom.

LORD ASPEN Has won eight of his 15 starts. Forget his last run as he pulled up lame when smashed before running ninth over 1200m at Morphettville on December 10.

CAVALOCE Is an Adelaide sprinter who won well over 1200m at Morphettville on December 10. He gets top Melbourne jockey Mark Zahra to ride here and on 58kg rates as a chance.

BULLISH STOCK Will have to redeem himself with favourite backers after finishing fourth as a $1.60 favourite over 3000m at Moonee Valley on December 16. Drops 2.5kg to 54kg here.

SLY ROMANCE Is a race-hardened stayer who notched a smart win over 3000m at Moonee Valley on December 16. Will be well fancied with Dwayne Dunn riding again and drops 5kg to 54kg.

LORD VAN PERCY Has his supporters and gets Luke Nolen replacing Mark Zahra here. Goes up to 60kg from 56kg when running second over 2500m here on December 17. Respect.

SIMPLE SOLUTION (Best Roughie) Was backed from $11 into $8 before finishing a close fourth over 1600m against her own sex at Moonee Valley on December 16. Ben Thompson’s 2kg claim sees her carry 52kg – a drop of 4kg.

SHE’S GOT SPEED Ran a good third in the same race as Simple Solution on December 16. Katelyn Mallyon is the new rider and she drops 2kg to the limit on 54kg here.

LOVEITT Ran third to a smart type over 1700m here on December 10. She gets top jockey Kerrin McEvoy to ride here, but does rise from 53kg to 57k. Makes appeal in a deep race.
