ROYAL DISGUISE Hails from last season’s leading two-year-old stable. Trainer Mick Price is sure to have this daughter of Commands well educated and would respect. Stable jockey Craig Newitt is the pilot and she will have admirers.

BOOKBUILD Has been specked in the betting early and from the stables of the Freedman brothers. He is a son of Choisir and cost $130,000 for his owners as a yearling. Keep safe at debut.

PURE EMOTION Has the benefit here of a race start over many of her rivals. Gave a fair effort to run fifth over 1000m at her sole start on October 22. Damien Oliver takes the reins and has been kept safe in the market. Can improve.

EMPHATICALLY (BEST ROUGHIE) Gets her chance to be effective from a good gate in five. This is a wide open affair and she has been most consistent. She gets a change of rider with Luke Nolen up and she will carry 59.5kg. Will be at her best value and is fresh for this assignment not having raced since November 23.

CRYSTAL FOUNTAIN Is a lovely bred filly who has been in dominant form on provincial tracks. She is unbeaten at her two starts and comes here off a ½ length win over 1221m at Geelong on December 15. Jordan Child’s 1.5kg claim reduces her big weight to 58.5kg.

MILLINERY Can expect jockey Michael Walker to be aggressive from wide alley in 11. She was right in the thick of the action when running fourth down the straight 1100m at Flemington on December 17. Better suited here around a bend and like her.

SIREN’S REWARD Was second-up when finishing second over 1000m here on December 2. Apprentice Ben Allen rides again and she will carry 55.5kg with his 2kg allowance. That is a kilo less than last time and she can take the next step here.

VALUE RUNNER: No2 Emphatically

R3 – 5.55pm Essendon Nisson Handicap – 1000m

MANIHI MISCHIEF Hit the line hard off a 114-day spell when second over 1000m here on December 16. Damien Oliver is staying on board and carries the same weight on 59.5kg, but is drawn wide in 12.

LADY ESPRIT Has her races spaced and is running here off a 21-day gap. She gets senior rider Mark Zahra replacing apprentice Michael Dee and she has a good record at this track and distance.

DEFINIA Showed he was capable of mixing it here running third over 1000m on December 16. His prior form on country Victorian tracks was as solid as Gibraltar and bears thought.

She carried 56.5kg that day when ridden by apprentice Michael Dee.

R6 – 7.40pm Quest Moonee Valley Handicap – 1200m

ARMADA Was beaten by a smart type second-up when running second down the straight six at Flemington on December 10. Apprentice Ben Allen’s 2kg claim reduces his weight to 57kg and good chance.

STELLAR COLLISION Is a stablemate to Armada and can give cheek with stable jockey Brad Rawiller taking the reins. Freshened since sixth down the straight 1100m at Flemington on December 17.

DEVILS PINCH Is bound to be fitter on his first-up effort when finished second over 1200m at Mornington on December 14. He gets senior rider Luke Nolen here and drops 2kg to 57kg.
