Midweek meeting at Wyong this week due to the Monday meeting being at Randwick, small fields yet again with six city and provincial meetings on this week.

The rail is in the true position and even though the weather looks indifferent, confident we will have a good range track.

QUADDIES (Races 4-5-6-7)

Skinny: 2,6 – 8 – 2,4,6 – 1
Wide: 2,6,12 – 5,8,9,11 – 1,2,4,6 - 1

Best Bet: R3 N1 BALTIC WHISPER
Next Best Bet: R1 N1 BLACKMAKER
Best Roughie: R5 N9 LA PINTANA

R1 - 1:20PM DE BORTOLI WINES CLASS 1 & MAIDEN PLATE - 2100m

No1 BLACKMAKER (Next Best Bet) Was just gunned down late last start, do like the change in jockeys here, as Parr has been super aggressive as of late and isn’t afraid to dictate. To a track like Wyong should suit and he will be very hard to run down

No 4 TACIT RHEMA

No 2 JAYZOU

No 5 PREFERRED ROUTE

SELECTIONS:

VALUE RUNNER:

R2 – 1:55PM WWW.TAB.COM.AU MAIDEN HANDICAP - 1600m

KIRINI Was good first-up in what looks to be a good race, the form has stood up since, Avdulla on second-up he will be hard to beat.

GOLD EMBLEM Will appreciate the step up to the 1600m here, he just went down in a three-way go at Bathurst, which wasn’t a bad country maiden.

ROTOITI Looks as if he will need further than a maiden later on in his career, but this looks to be a good kick-off point and he should hit the line for further.

GACELA Looks to be next best in a race that has a long tail.

SELECTIONS: No 3 KIRINI, No 2 Gold Emblem, No 1 Rotoiti, No 4 Gacela

VALUE RUNNER: No 1 Rotoiti

R3 - 2:35PM THE PROPERTY MARKET CLASS 1 HANDICAP - 1100m

No 1 BALTIC WHISPER (BEST BET) Was just gunned down late last start at Kembla, they ran some serious time that day and coming back to Class 1 level is much more suitable here. From gate 2, Collett can control the speed and kick away when needed.

No 3 MAN TO LOVE

No 7 FAST CUT

No 5 SHE'S A BOP GIRL

R4 - 3:15PM WRC $30 MID YEAR MEMBERSHIP JOIN NOW MAIDEN PLATE - 1350m

ECHO KING Looks well set up for a debut win here after two solid trials. He is a 5yo having his debut, and he must have shown something throughout to have his debut this late. Blinkers on, expect him to take up the running and be hard to run down.

CALIFORNIA FORTUNE Gets a host of gear changes for his second start where he hit the line quite well. Shinn on for Bowman isn’t much of a change. But he should be better for the experience however.

SHE'S DEMANDING Has had a host of trials leading into her debut run, being from Team Snowden she will be ready to go for a debut run and is well weighted after the claim.

ABSOLUTELY WIN Is next best in a race where the top three should dominate.

SELECTIONS: No 2 ECHO KING, No 6 California Fortune, No 12 She’s Demanding, No 1 Absolutely Win

VALUE RUNNER: No 12 She’s Demanding

R5 – 3:50PM BREE AND GAWNDY'S GALLOP-A-THON MAIDEN PLATE - 1200m

TSWALU Comes out of a good race on debut, they ran quite slick time there too and his gate probably cost him the race. At his second start he’s hard to beat.

IGNITE THE LIGHT Was quite poor first-up, in a weaker race here after solid trial leading in. He has to be a chance.

LA PINTANA (Best Roughie) Hit the line well enough on debut. From barrier 7 I think he may take a closer spot in the run.

TIRONE MISS Has trialled well enough leading into this. The form in her first preparation was good enough for this.

SELECTIONS: No 8 TSWALU, No 5 Ignite The Light, No 9 La Pintana, No 11 Tirone Miss

VALUE RUNNER: No 11 La Pintana

R6 - 4:25PM CANADIAN CLUB & DRY F&M BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP - 1350m

SUGARPARMA Should settle much closer from the gate here today, she hit the line powerfully last start and the step to 1350m suits.

KITE HILL Hit the line well last start, the form around Dorf Star has since stood up quite well and she has a chance.

TOUGH AS TEAK Should improve second-up from a spell after running in what looks to be a hot race fresh. She should cross from gate 9 and dictate.

STAR REFLECTION Was good enough first-up from a spell. The step up to 1350m and Avdulla sticking give her a chance.

SELECTIONS: No 4 SUGARPARMA, No 6 Kite Hill, No 2 Tough As Teak, No 1 Star Reflection

VALUE RUNNER: No 6 Kite Hill

R7 – 5:05PM 2GO FAMILY RACEDAY JANUARY 22 CGE BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP - 1350m

AMAZING STORY Was good enough late after missing the kick last start. If he holds his form he should be winning this.

SNAPPY ONE Gets in well at the weights here after the claim. He was good enough in a highway last start and has a chance.

BANDIT BAY Comes out of a nice race last start at the track, the drop in distance shouldn’t faze him as he is a grand old campaigner.

CAESAR'S GHOST Looks set up for a good fresh run here. His trials have been good enough and Thompson’s horses are flying at the moment.

SELECTIONS: No 1 AMAZING STORY, No 5 Snappy One, No 8 Bandit Bay, No 4 Caesar’s Ghost

VALUE RUNNER: No 8 Bandit Bay
