The weather will be Cloudy with a chance of showers late morning and early afternoon. Top temperature will be 23C.

Watch for horses on the quick back-up. That seems to be a profitable trend at the moment with horses backing up within a week of their previous runs. The rail has been shifted out for this meeting which could favour horses racing on-speed.

The rail is at the 10 metre position for the entire circumference and the track is rated a Good 4.

Fought tenaciously for photo third Alter Call 1200m Caulfield Boxing Day then kicked away at 300m and safely held Cliff Hanger 1400m here last Wednesday. Extra 200m shouldn’t bother him and will take tossing.
