Unlike other states this is not a Saturday standard meeting!

Unlike other states this is not a Saturday standard meeting. It is the main city midweek meeting obviously meaning the horses are of secondary standard. The rail is out one-metre the entire course and the track rating should be good provided there is no surprise thunderstorm. All runners should get their chance. QUADDIES (Races 5-6-7-8)

Skinny: 8,14/1,6/5,11/4
Wide: 4,8,13,14/1,6,7,9/3,5,9,11/4,5,8,10

Next Best Bet: R2 – 3. MAD MAGIC
Best Roughie: R7 – 5. RELAMPAGO

R1 – 12.28pm FICTION BAR & RESTAURANT Maiden Handicap - 2200m

ENDLESS DON This is a weak maiden and Endless Don gets a chance to break his duck here. He has been very consistent and ran on well at the end of 1800m last start. Fit enough to win this.

BRONTE BABE Plodded away over this distance when third last start. Fitter now and should be the main danger.

TORRES DEL PAINE Finally showed some form when led and fought on well for second this distance last start. Chance again in a weak race.

CANTERBURY KING Just fair last start when fourth at this distance when under pressure a long way out. Another who is fitter here though.

SELECTIONS: NO 1 ENDLESS DON, NO 5 Bronte Babe, NO 4 Torres Del Paine, NO 2 Canterbury King

VALUE RUNNER: NO 5 Bronte Babe

R2 – 1.03pm DIAMOND CUT MEATS Maiden Plate - 1200m

NO 3 MAD MAGIC (NEXT BEST BET) Has been placed at all five starts and showed he was ready to come back a winner with strong recent trial win at the Sunshine Coast. The stable is in great form and he looks hard to beat despite an ordinary barrier.

R3 – 1.38pm BRISBANE ANTI WRINKLE & SKIN STUDIOS F&M Ratings Band 0-70 Handicap - 1350m

SNOW FIELDS Always takes time to reach top form and much better run last start when third. Getting to her right distance now and looks hard to beat.

LADY DUPORTH Has been racing in the best form of her career. Probably best on wet tracks but chance on any going.

JENNIFER JUNIPER Never far away and has had little luck her most recent efforts. Looks a strong each-way hope again.

FINAL ZERO She was impressive winning a maiden at Eagle Farm. Nicely bred and should go on here. She will probably lead these and tempo will tell the tale.

SELECTIONS: NO 7 SNOW FIELDS, NO 1 Lady Duporth, NO 5 Jennifer Juniper, NO 8 Final Zero

R4 – 2.13pm WATMEK SERVICES QTIS Three-Years-Old BenchMark 75 Handicap - 1350m

TWO SHOES Stable has elected to ride her back in the field in her races and she stormed home for an impressive win at the Sunshine Coast last time. The pace will be on early here which will suit.

LIFESAVER Has won both his race starts in honest efforts. He faces his toughest task here but does have potential.

UP THE TEMPO He is showing plenty of potential winning his two starts before a spell. Liked his trial at Deagon recently and has a hope here.

RED SCARLET Won a couple on end at the Gold Coast before a very good fifth in a harder race on Magic Millions day. Weight is no help but still a chance here.

SELECTIONS: NO 3 TWO SHOES, NO 4 Lifesaver, NO 6 Up The Tempo, NO 1 Red Scarlet

R5 – 2.52pm F45 TRAINING Class 3 Plate - 1050m

FRENCH CONCESSION Has been racing well and showed a lot of pace to win last start at Ipswich. This is harder but has each-way hopes.

JADEDFOX He has had no luck at all at his past two starts which were in harder races than this. Gets his chance to get back into the money here.

WIGGLESWORTH This is far easier than first-up defeat which was a much better run than it looks on paper. Usually races well this course and distance.

SELECTIONS: NO 8 French Concession, NO 13 Jadedfox, NO 4 Wigglesworth

VALUE RUNNER: NO 13 Jadedfox

R6 – 3.32pm PEPTIDES DIRECT Colts, Geldings & Entires Ratings Band 0 - 70 Handicap - 1350m

TIME TO TORQUE He has always shown potential and overcame difficulties to win first-up. The weight is a worry but has a class edge on these.

CRUISE POWER Has been okay last two starts but best guide here is his big win at this course three runs back.

ON DEMAND He is never far away in these type of races and will race on the pace here. He has no weight after a 3kgs claim and is a knock out hope.

BEAT STREET Got too far back at Doomben last start when made ground to finish fifth. If he can get a handier position here he will be hard to beat.

SELECTIONS: NO 1 TIME TO TORQUE, NO 6 Cruise Power, NO 9 On Demand, NO 7 Beat Street

R7 – 4.12pm KONICA MINOLTA BenchMark 70 Handicap - 1200m

RA RA EPIC Stable is flying at the moment and it was a good run when second last start on a wet Eagle Farm track. She wasn't far away in stakes company at her previous run and well suited here at the weights.

RELAMPAGO (Best Rougie) Good run two starts back and got flattened on the first turn when last start failure. Forget that run and this suits very well.

REAL EGO Good first-up win and then just okay when third in harder race last time. Can mix his form but on his day would win this.

SORORITY SISTER She has been racing very well and last start effort to win was a career highlight. Starting to creep up in the weights but still a top hope here.

SELECTIONS: NO 11 RA RA EPIC, NO 5 Relampago, NO 9 Real Ego, NO 3 Sorority Sister

VALUE RUNNER: NO 5 Relampago

R8 – 4.48pm DESIGNLINE Class 2 Handicap - 1600m

NO 4 THE PERPETRATOR (BEST BET) Has won his past two starts in strong fashion and hit the line hard in both. He looks ideally placed at 1600m in what isn't the strongest race of the day.
