This is one of only three Saturday metropolitan race meetings held at the Sunshine Coast. But the form here is well exposed as it holds 70 meetings a year and mostly on Sundays. The rail is out three metres and as always horses which can get to the ridge in the middle of the track can finish very fast. Big fields in most races make it a hard day but there do look to be a couple of very good chances. QUADDIES (Races 5-6-7-8)

Skinny: 2,4/4/2,8/1,12
Wide: 2,4,6,7/3,4,10,12/2,4,8,15/1,3,12,13

Best Bet: R4 – 1. SNITZKRAFT
Best Roughie: R3 – 6. MARTIAL ART

R1 – 12.27pm COASTLINE BMW 3 SERIES OPEN Handicap - 2200m

SHOREHAM He looks to have lengths on these in class and getting back somewhere near his old form. Protested unsuccessfully against second when third last week. This distance should be no worry now.

SAN TELMO Promising young stayer who gets in here with a light weight. Good effort in far harder company last start and the obvious danger to the top weight.

ANNAMAN Doesn't win very often but goes okay this track and this is so weak he has claims. At least he will run out the 2200m.

FRIGHTENING BOLT Good winner at Toowoomba last start. This is not a strong race and could lead here by himself.

SELECTIONS: NO 1 SHOREHAM, NO 4 San Telmo, NO 6 Annaman, NO 7 Frightening Bolt

VALUE RUNNER: NO 7 Frightening Bolt

R3 – 1.37pm COASTLINE BMW 7 SERIES Class 3 Plate - 1600m

THE AMATEUR Has been dynamic at his two wins for this stable. Has won this track and should go to the front here and prove very hard to run down.

CORNROW He is yet to win at 1600m but his racing style these days indicates he will run it out now. Past few starts have been very good for a race like this.

MARTIAL ART (Best Roughie) Missed the start when fourth first-up and then no luck again when second last time. Ready to run a strong 1600m and does like this track.

SELECTIONS: NO 8 THE AMATEUR, NO 3 Cornrow, NO 6 Martial Art

VALUE RUNNER: NO 6 Martial Art

R2 – 1.02pm COASTLINE BMW X4 QTIS Three-Years-Old Plate - 1600m

DOUBT DEFYING He was very heavily backed when third at Doomben in a weaker race. But he struck a lot of trouble and it was a good effort to even finish third.

CRACK ME UP He raced well behind some smart horses before being well beaten in the Magic Millions Guineas. This is much easier and rates highly.

MISS KINDILAN Has always shown promise and lived up to it with a strong win this track last start. She should go on with it now.

CUSHION PINK Few horses have had as much bad luck as she has at her most recent starts. If things go right here she can improve sharply.

SELECTIONS: NO 4 DOUBT DEFYING, NO 1 Crack Me Up, NO 9 Miss Kindilan, NO 10 Cushion Pink

VALUE RUNNER: NO 10 Cushion Pink

NO 1 SNITZKRAFT (BEST BET) Very promising two-year-old who had no luck at all in first two starts and then blitzed a Doomben midweek two-year-old field running sensational time. Should beat these in a jog.

R5 – 2.52pm COASTLINE BMW 4 SERIES QTIS Three-Years-Old Handicap - 1000m

FRENCH JET Has had a break but goes well fresh. Drawn off the track here but has plenty of pace and can get across near the lead from the jump.

THE AMBASSADORE He can hit the line strongly in his races so this big track will suit. There should also be plenty of early pace to suit him.

ST HILARY Handy filly who is yet to run a bad race. She can handle wet or dry tracks and should be up near the pace from the jump.

I REMEMBER YOU Good run at unsuitable distance last start at the Gold Coast. Has shown ability in these type of races and has an each-way hope.

SELECTIONS: NO 2 FRENCH JET, NO 4 The Ambassarore, NO 6 St Hilary, NO 11 I Remember You

VALUE RUNNER: NO 11 I Remember You

R6 – 3.32pm COASTLINE BMW X1 Class 6 Handicap - 1800m

NO 4 SENTIMENTAL PRINCE (NEXT BEST BET) He has been very impressive at his past two wins and had the field covered a long way out last time. He has always indicated he would be a middle distance horse so this trip suits.

R8 – 4.48pm COASTLINE BMW M2 BenchMark 85 Handicap – 1200m

IRISH CONSTABULARY Has been racing in excellent form and loves this track. Good last-start winner in the Magic Millions Country Cup and has the benefit of a 3kgs claim.

NOTONYOURLIFE Well beaten in a much harder race last start but previous form was good around some smart horses. This looks an ideal race.

DIVINE SERVICE Has always had a lot of ability but to put it frankly he is unruly. If he goes into the barriers and is in a good mood he will nearly win this.

OBERLAND Does race well this track and should be near the pace. This is tough but can sprint quickly at the finish.

SELECTIONS: NO 1 IRISH CONSTABULARY, NO 12 Nononyourlife, NO 5 Divine Service, NO 13 Oberland

VALUE RUNNER: NO 13 Oberland

SOLD FOR SONG Very honest mare who is back from running third in a stakes race in Melbourne at her last start. Her two runs this track have been good and she won't be worried by the wide barrier as she gets back in her races.

JUMBO PRINCE They don't come any more honest than this bloke. He always tries hard and he isn't harshly weighted here.

STEEL ZIP Old timer who was probably one run short when midfield in the Magic Millions QTIS Cup last time. Races well this track and always an each-way hope.

IN HIS STRIDE Racing well and just failed to catch Madotti last start in the Magic Millions QTIS Cup. Slight doubt about the 1400m but has hopes.

SELECTIONS: NO 8 SOLD FOR SONG, NO 2 Jumbo Prince, NO 4 Steel Zip, NO 15 In His Stride

VALUE RUNNER: NO 15 In His Stride
