Tuesday racing this week comes to us from Newcastle, we were here on Saturday and the rail goes back into the true position for this meeting after being out 5m on Saturday, so the inside part of the track may be better. The track should be in the slow range with expected rain on the day too.

    QUADDIES (Races 5-6-7-8)

    Skinny: 2,6 – 11 – 1,3 – 1,2,5
    Wide: 1,2,3,6 – 1,7,10,11 – 1,3,5,6 – 1,2,5,10

    Best Bet: R5 N6 SHARPNESS
Next Best Bet: R1 N1 DESTINATION TUCSON
    Best Roughie: R8 N10 AJEETA

R1 -1:20pm. XXXX GOLD CLASS 1 HANDICAP - 2300m.

No 1 DESTINATION TUSCON (Next Best Bet) Should just be winning this, she had the grounding run last start over the T&D. She gets Avdulla here, who will make the difference. If she doesn’t win this, she may never win again.

No 3 SET THE TONE Was good last start behind the toppie, but can’t turn the tables.

No 2 SAHARA STRIKE May roll forward here and give some cheek.

No 4 HAVAZAC Next best in a bad race.

VALUE RUNNER: No 3 SET STONE

R2 -1:55pm. ANG & JAN ANGELS 2YO HANDICAP - 900m.

No 2 THE MISSION Has started well in the market in both starts and has been disappointing. Back to home and 900m suit.

No 1 HARNOVA Did a good job winning on debut and has race experience on her side.

No 4 AEECEE TONG DE Has trialled well leading into the debut and gets Avdulla on.

No 5 FUNOON Had the quiet trial leading into this, and has the dangerous combo of Cummings and Glyn.

VALUE RUNNER: No 5 FUNOON

R3 -2:35pm. SONIA WALKOM MEMORIAL CLASS 1 HANDICAP - 1600m.

No 3 IMPAVIDO

No 2 BALESTRAND

No 4 SUPERBEE

No 8 DEANGELO

R5 -4:25pm. WALKOM REAL ESTATE METRO & PROV MAIDEN HANDICAP - 1250m.

No 6 SHARPNESS (Best Bet) Has trialed well enough leading into this race, she is superbly bred and I like the 1250 kick off point here as he looked as if she would get further. She could measure up to better races than this and will be hard to beat on debut here.

No 2 NEON JUNGLE Ran well on debut in what looks to be a nice enough race and has a chance.

No 3 SO SPIRITED Was good enough first up at Wyong and should be improved for that.

No 1 QUITE UNEXPECTED Has run into some nice horses in both starts to date and could get under the punters guard.

VALUE RUNNER: No 1 QUITE UNEXPECTED

R4 -3:10pm. FIRST NATIONAL NEWCASTLE CITY MAIDEN PLATE - 1850m.

No 1 PRESCIENCE

No 6 ROYALTY RISING

No 5 ROTOITI

No 4 OZEKI

R7 - 5:45pm. NEWCASTLEHUNTERHOF.COM.AU CLASS 2 HANDICAP - 1300m.

No 1 STATIC LIFT

No 3 CALIFORNIA NIKE

No 6 O'REILLY'S ANGEL

No 5 GLIB

R8 - 6:20pm. COCA-COLA BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP - 1150m.

No 1 LYRIC Further down in grade yet again here, he may pop up at odds.

No 5 O'REILLY CYRUS Had his first start for the new stable at Canterbury and found the line well. The wide open track suits.

No 10 AJEETA (Best Roughie) Gets McEvoy here and gets a great run on the map from gate 1 and could shock at odds.

VALUE RUNNER: No 10 AJEETA

R6 -5:05pm. HUNTER JAGUAR MAIDEN PLATE - 1350m.

No 11 NAUGHTY THOUGHTS

No 10 BAYSA

No 7 OMIYA

No 1 ABSOLUTELY WIN
