Eagle Farm Betting Tips & Preview
Betting Tips for every race at Eagle Farm. Today’s best bet is in race 1.
No rain is again forecast for Brisbane this week but as we always say there could be a surprise storm because it has been so hot. Eagle Farm came up with a new trick last Saturday. The wind got up and on an already dry track the surface became rock hard. More than a few horses pulled up lame! The rail is out 11 metres the whole way and while that should usually suit front runners the dry weather means the track should be even and all runners should get their chances.

- Skinny Play: 3/4,8/3,6,/8
- Wide Play: 2,3,5,8/3,4,5,8/2,3,6,11/1,5,7,8
- BEST BEST: R1 – 1. ACCEPTILE
- Next Best Bet: R6 – 3. FRANK WHO
- Best Roughie: R3 – 6. RAINBOW LACE
R1 – 12.25pm. SKY THOROUGHBRED CENTRAL QTIS Two-Years-Old Maiden Plate - 1000m.
NO 1 ACCEPTILE (BEST BET) It is rare to make a two-year-old maiden the best bet of the day especially in a race where a couple of the first starters have trialled okay. But Acceptile has been placed in all three race starts behind some very smart horses in Saturday company. This is a set weights race and he has the top jockey in Damian Browne. He has plenty of pace and the 1000m is ideal after a short break.
NO 6 WICKED EXPRESS Showed a lot of pace at his first start and stopped just as quickly. Has had a break but on early wrap should be respected.
NO 5 SPLITLOCK Looked handy in winning a Randwick trial in September but then sent north. No official trial since but obviously has ability.
NO 3 MAJOR LUCK Not asked to do too much when won a Ballina trial. From a leading stable who usually produces its two-year-olds ready to win.
VALUE RUNNER: NO 5 SPLITLOCK
R2 – 1.05pm. GALLOPERS SPORTS CLUB QTIS Two-Years-Old Maiden Plate - 1000m.
NO 4 PINCH PASSION He was well supported at only start when had no luck and was well beaten. Given a break and should be ready to show his best in what is the weaker heat of the maiden.
NO 5 UMBERTO Has not had a race start or a trial but did go okay in a jump out. Very well bred and owners had a double on Saturday.
NO 8 DON'T STUTTER Won a recent three horse trial but did show plenty of zip. Hard to line up here but must be respected.
NO 9 FOXY FELINE First starter who trialled okay three weeks ago. She is well bred and this isn't hard.
VALUE RUNNER: NO 8 DON'T STUTTER
R3 – 1.40pm. GIRLS DAY OUT RACEDAY Fillies and Mares Class 4 Handicap - 1300m.
NO 2 QUEEN TARA She is proving very hard to catch and a brilliant winner two runs back before well beaten in the Magic Millions Country Cup. Much better placed here.
NO 6 RAINBOW LACE (Best Roughie) Injury has robbed her of a lot of her natural ability but she always tries hard. She will be very good odds here and could easily cause an upset.
NO 1 BOUND FOR LOVE Has won far better races than this and good trial recently when third behind two handy horses at the Gold Coast. The rock hard track and big weight some worry.
NO 5 CATENACCIO She was very strong at the finish to win last time and now she is back in form she should be followed.
VALUE RUNNER: NO 6 RAINBOW LACE
R4 – 2.15pm. GA SEASON PASS Fillies and Mares Maiden Handicap -1200m.
NO 3 ROCK GARDEN She has had no luck at all at both race starts. Got left in front last time but battled on well in the straight. Better ridden from behind although barrier no help.
NO 2 OKAY LILLEE Ran a nice fourth in only race start. That race was about the same level as this so has to be a chance.
NO 7 SONADOR ANGEL Had little luck start when a handy fourth in similar company last time. Definite each-way hope here.
NO 4 AMARYLISS Showed form last campaign and we liked her trial win at Deagon recently. Ready to race well.
VALUE RUNNER: NO 7 SONADOR ANGEL
R5 – 2.55pm. HAMILTON HOTEL Colts, Geldings and Entires Maiden Handicap - 1200m.
NO 4 RAJA AMPAT No star but he is very honest and deserves a win. Looks ideally placed here and we would have made him a special but he can do the occasional thing wrong in the straight. Still he should win this.
NO 6 ENGRAVED His two race starts have been good and this type of race suits nicely.
NO 7 MOHAKA RIVER His first start was good when second then didn't do much at one other run before a spell. This looks to suit.
NO 5 ALL PICKLED Started big odds but was handy last time at the Sunshine Coast. Getting better with racing and not the worst here.
VALUE RUNNER: NO 7 MOHAKA RIVER
R6 – 3.35pm. RELAXED RACING Class 4 Handicap - 1600m.
NO 3 FRANK WHO (Next Best Bet) His two runs since coming north from Sydney have been solid. He is fitter now and out to his right distance in a small field. Doesn't appear much early pace here so might even lead.
NO 8 FRENCH SONG Looks the other pace in the race and a very good second at her last start. Any luck here and can win.
NO 2 COMACINA Two runs in recent weeks have been okay without being great. Usually an each-way chance these type of races.
NO 5 SLYDINI Best form is on wet tracks and if we got a storm he would start favourite. But two recent runs on dry tracks good enough to be in the finish here.
VALUE RUNNER: NO 2 COMACINA
R7 – 4.10pm. MOUNT FRANKLIN Colts, Geldings and Entires Class 4 Handicap - 1300m.
NO 8 ZENDAYE Showed his true ability with a strong last-start win and can make it back-to-back here. Raced in top company last campaign and headed that way again.
NO 4 PLAN RED Has run second in similar company at past two starts and had no luck either time. Overdue for some luck and a win.
NO 3 DOUSAICHI He will be big odds here but showed some of his old form in the northern rivers last start. Might cause an upset.
NO 5 CHIN CHUN Frustrating horse because he continually runs good races which indicate be on me next time. Only trouble is he does the same next time without winning. Maybe here.
VALUE RUNNER: NO 3 DOUSAICHI
R8 – 4.45pm. WEDDINGS AT BRC Class 2 Handicap - 1500m.
NO 6 FINAL ZERO Well bred and scored an impressive win two runs back before again showing pace and fighting on last start in a similar race to this. Fitter and could lead all the way here.
NO 3 PRINCESS IS READY Smart mare but she can do a lot wrong in her races. Has a 2kgs claim and is drawn in the right part of the track for her racing style.
NO 11 SPIRIT OF KIOWA Finished very strongly to win last start and has a 3kgs claim here meaning she will carry a fly weight. Watch for her late.
NO 2 DAZZLE US AGAIN He is never far away in these type of races but doesn't win many. Perhaps Jeff Lloyd can help him turn the corner.
VALUE RUNNER: NO 11 SPIRIT OF KIOWA
R9 – 5.25pm. RACEZONE Ratings Band 0 - 70 Handicap - 1000m.
NO 8 STICK WITH ME Handy mare who has some good first-up form around this distance. Can get back in her races but with no weight here and plenty of early pace she should be storming home late.
NO 5 SEQ THE STAR A real flyer who led to the last 100m first-up but stopped to finish third. Second-up form is nowhere near as good as first-up but this time she has a 3kgs claim.
NO 1 APOLOBOOM A former Victorian who is now in a top Toowoomba stable. He has good first up form and has raced well in much better company than this at the Victorian provincials. Demands respect.
NO 7 HI SEXY Northern Rivers mare who has won her past two starts there. Deserves a chance in midweek city company.
VALUE RUNNER: NO 7 HI SEXY
