All in all a good and competitive card where the track could be upgraded from a Soft 5 with fine weather forecast for Melbourne. The false rail is at three metres.

No 9 CONSOMMATEUR Is resuming from a 313-day spell. Last start ran third over 1500m at Cranbourne on April 1 last year. From three starts she has a win, second and a third. Craig Williams rides.
No 6 MAGNA ROSSA She was not far away in a stronger race when finishing eighth over 1200m at Moonee Valley on January 21. Katelyn Mallyon is the new rider and she should be thereabouts.

No 9 CHATEAU CHEVAL Is a super fit mare and must have good claims on her recent form. Latest she lost a plate when running second over 1300m here on January 18. Stable jockey Regan Bayliss rides here.

No 2 NO COMMITMENT Has had a change of rider in his bid for as hat-trick. Ben Allen’s 2kg claim reduces his impost to 58kg, which is a half-kilo more than he carried to a half-length win over 1500m at Pakenham on January 25.
