No 9 MACARIA Gave a sound effort at her debut to finish third over 1200m in a maiden at Moonee Valley on February 10. Damien Oliver rides again and she has the blinkers off now.

No8 STAR ZONE He was super impressive at winning over 2100m at orange two starts ago. Going to dismiss his last-start sixth over 1900m at Kilmore on February 23. That was off a 23-day break.
No5 TUFF HOST Gave a fair enough effort when finishing sixth over 1700m at Flemington on February 18. Beau Mertens’ 2kg claim sees him carry 55kg. Most of these in this race are heading to the jumps.
No4 RED SHIFT Was running off a 247-day break when finishing fourth over 1700m at Ballarat on February 7. Has top jockey Mark Zahra to steer and will be fitter from the effort. This is a shallow race.
No1 SURVIVED Tough type who gets his chance here with the in-form Jordan Childs’ 1.5kg claim reducing his impost to 60kg. He ran a sound sixth in the Colac Cup (2000m) on February 12.

No4 BASTILLE (BEST BET) Was heavily backed into a $1.90 favourite before thrashing his opposition by 5 ¼ lengths in an 1100m maiden at Ballarat on February 12. The Hayes stable are smashing all before them with a Group 1 double last weekend at Caulfield. This son of Snittzel only goes up a kilo to 59kg and he looks set to mirror his debut performance.
No3 EL RADA Most consistent with and looms with claims again.
No7 INVINCIBLE JOY Solid third first-up and is bound to be improved.

No7 TYPHOON MONACO Keeps on rising to the occasions and faces another step up here after a smart three-quarter length win over 1600m at Pakenham on February 14. She gets Dwayne Dunn to ride again and drops 3kg to 54.5kg.
No6 SINGLE NOTE Rewarded the faithful with a good win over 1400m against her own sex at Pakenham on February 16. She drops 5kg to 54.5kg here for her rise in class and has been most consistent.
No3 MA JONES Will be flourishing home strongly. She was blocked for the whole straight when finishing ninth over 1400m at Flemington on February 18. Damian Lane takes over from a 2kg apprentice.

No4 NEMRUD Was a hot $2.10 favourite first-up and got the chocolates over 1200m in a maiden at Seymour on February 6. Gets Blue Diamond Stakes winning jockey Craig Williams taking the reins and rates highly.
No3 GOOD HOST With a win and a second at three starts he has not done much wrong. Latest broke his maiden class with a clever win over 1600m at Pakenham on February 16. One of the better chances.
No1 CAMBODIAN PRINCE Is another young talent with two wins and a second at four starts. He won well at Pakenham last start over 1400m on February 9. He has drawn perfectly in three and is from the in-form Team Hayes.
No9 CASSADEE Hails from a top Sydney stable and gets a drop in class here on eighth in the Group 3 Vanity (1400m) at Flemington on February 8. Her prior form in NSW and here was most solid and has the blinkers discarded.

No6 WEATHER THE STORM (Best Roughie) She had no luck whatsoever in running but due to her courage she got up to post a brave win at Moonee Valley on January 27. Top jockey Dwayne Dunn stays on board and she again carries 55kg.
No7 HEZA DUDE Gets an important riding change with Blue Diamond Stakes winning rider Craig Williams the new rider. Was a sound second over 1200m at Pakenham last start on February 16. Has been honest.
No3 ARMADA Damian Lane is the new rider on this Darren Weir-trained galloper who impressively blasted his rivals over 1100m at Colac on February 12. He does rise in class but his win was worthy.

No4 CASTELO (NEXT BEST BET) Is a lightly-raced five-year-old who fought hard but no match on the day to the well-backed Dusty Jack over 1400m here on February 1. Apprentice Ben Thompson’s 2kg claim helps with his weight dropping it to 58kg. He has been a most reliable galloper and is well drawn in five.
No2 WAR LEGEND Fresh and has looked good at jump-outs at Flemington.
No6 KILMACURRAGH Has been flying at his jump-out and worth watching.
No3 ELITE TIGER Faced stronger opposition last start at Sandown.

No5 HERE TO THERE Has been prepared for this with three jump outs at Caulfield. He has a first-up record of three wins and a second at six starts. He is unbeaten over this trip and with apprentice Ben Thompson’s 2kg claim carries 56kg first up.
No8 ATLANTIC CITY Trainer Mark Kavanagh has made an important riding switch booking Craig Williams to replace Dean Yendall. Good effort to run second over 1400m here on February 15 and is consistent.
No4 BRADMAN Struck a tougher field when running 10th here over 1400m on February 15. He was unwanted in the betting and has Regan Bayliss as the new rider and he is a Team Hayes galloper.
