Out west to Rosehill we go and let’s hope it’s drier than what Randwick has been in the last few weeks and we have no bias like the last two weeks. Golden chance for two horses today, with two horses who will be exempt from the ballot from the Slipper by winning the Pago Pago or Magic Night Stakes. The track will be soft at best, but is currently heavy and the rail is true.

Best Roughie:

R7 N4 GLOBAL GLAMOUR

R1 - 12:30pm. SCHWEPPES HANDICAP - 1350m.

No 4 YOUR WAY

In at Kembla Friday – has won really well at her last two starts, they have been both over 1200m and she steps up to 1350m here. She loves wet going and has fitness on her side.

No 2 EXTENSIBLE

Has trialled in typical fashion for the stable in the lead up for a fresh run here. She has quite a good fresh record and has placed at all four runs. Last time in she really stepped up in grade and took on better horses than this.

No 3 SPECTROSCOPE

Has had a good trial leading into a first Australian run. I know nothing about the form from France, but he looked to have plenty of style in those runs. He has a good fresh record and Godolphin is starting to fire.

No 5 VOILIER

Has been going well enough as of late in weaker races than this. He seems to lack that killer punch currently.

VALUE RUNNER:

No 3 SPECTROSCOPE

R2 - 1:10pm. SMOOTH FM MAURICE McCARTEN STAKES - 1100m.

No 3 ARTISTRY

Comes into this first-up race off the back of a nice trial leading in. The worry about this is 1100m may be too short for her. But she is the best horse in this race and if close enough she can finish over the top of them.

No 4 PALAZZO PUBBLICO

Is in a stable that is currently flying. She loves 1100m, but the wet track is a touch of a worry for her. Last time in she really stepped up and went to another level. Down in weight with 53.5 she has her chance.

No 1 DOTHRAKI

Does he want to win anymore? That is the biggest question here, as he had every chance last start and looked to turn it up. The form has held up quite well though with Le Romain. I am not one to doubt the Snowdens.

No 6 ALART

Drops 10kgs on her last-start run and has been mixing her distances as of late. I like her over the sprinting trip, she is rock hard fit and is a winner on wet going before.

VALUE RUNNER:

No 6 ALART

ARTISTRYRosehill Gardens 02:10 - Winner

R3 - 1:45pm. CAFE CULTURE + INSITU PAGO PAGO STAKES - 1200m.

No 5 CONDOR HEROES (Next Best Bet)

Started odds on in the Breeders Plate and was run down late. He did everything at 100 miles an hour and had nothing left at the end of the debut run. The trial coming in was nothing short of brilliant and he did it under his own steam. He looks to have grown in the break and matured a touch. He should be winning this and in the Slipper next week.

No 4 ALBUMIN

Good win second-up here, he steps up from maiden grade here but needs to be respected.

No 1 DUCIMUS

Has won 2/2 in Melbourne, but not sure if the race he ran in last start was that good.

No 3 CORUSCATE

Just nosed out last start on a heavy track at Randwick, hopefully it didn’t take too much out of him.

VALUE RUNNER:

No 4 ALBUMIN

R4 - 2:25pm. CHANDON S MAGIC NIGHT STAKES - 1200m.

No 4 LIMBO SOUL

Won brilliantly on debut when backed in from $26 - $3. There was never a worry in the run for backers either, she steps up in grade but absolutely dominated what looked to be a good race.

No 1 TULIP

Was very good when closing off late in the Diamond. Hayes haven’t had many 2yo Sydney runners this season, but they have dominated this season that is for sure. Rosehill first time a concern.

No 14 ALIZEE

Was unlucky on debut, but not so sure if she would have won. Huge jockey change getting Buick on board here, but he isn’t exactly proven in Australia on 2yos.

No 9 WHISPERED SECRET

Was quite good on debut in what has proven to be a good race. The trial leading in was quite good, but barrier 17 is a massive query.

VALUE RUNNER:

No 9 WHISPERED SECRET

R5 - 3:00pm. MCGRATH ESTATE AGENTS SKY HIGH STAKES - 2000m.

No 9 ANTONIO GIUSEPPE (Best Bet)

Looks set for a great campaign after a big win first-up over an unsuitable distance. The step to 2000m here looks ideal as he is a winner over that in the past, as well as being unbeaten on heavy ground. He is a Group 1 horse that is for sure.

No 4 WHO SHOT THEBARMAN

Ran well first-up behind Winx and up to 2000m suits.

No 6 LASQUETI SPIRIT

Probably ran better last start than when she did in the oaks. Up to 2000m suits much better

No 8 ALLERGIC

On the quick backup, should be rock hard fit now and gets Buick.

VALUE RUNNER:

No 8 ALLERGIC

ANTONIO GUISEPPERosehill Gardens 04:00 - Winner

racing/horses/2017-03-11-rosehill-gardens/race-6/winner

No 9 FOXPLAY

Got a mile back last start and wasn’t on the fence where you needed to be that day. The step now to 1500m suits as does a wet track, as she is proven in it. She has a lot on these and should be winning.

No 2 BEZEL

Has been back to the trials after what was a horrid first-up run. The trial was quite good and he looked to be in good form. At his best he is up to this.

No 8 ROCK AND SWING

Ran on really well first-up from a long break. The step up to 1500m now is suitable, but a wet track is a big unknown for mine here.

No 13 ZENALICIOUS

Returns to the scene of her best win. She was 3-4 wide last start which was completely unsuitable. She does look to be on an Oaks path, but this looks more suitable than her two runs back so far.

VALUE RUNNER:

No 8 ROCK AND SWING

FOXPLAYRosehill Gardens 04:35 - Winner

R7 - 4:15pm. COOLMORE CLASSIC - 1500m.

R8 - 5:00pm. HYLAND RACE COLOURS AJAX STAKES - 1500m

No 3 HE’S OUR ROKKII

Should find this easier than the two WFA Group 1s that he has run in, in both runs back from a spell this time in. the soft track shouldn’t worry him, as he won twice over the carnival last year on wet tracks. He looks well set up for this up to 1500m.

No 2 AROD

Did have the bias in his advantage last start, but still ran on really well. That was his best effort on a wet track and showed that he had improved since the first-up flop. Out to 1500m suits perfectly now.

No 5 DIBAYANI

Is “old mate” and will probably fill a hole here due to who he is. He has run well on wet tracks in Sydney in the past and has to be thrown in regardless.

No 10 NEW TIPPERARY

Wasn’t too bad first-up in a race that didn’t suit. Out to 1500m now suits, if Avdulla can get into him early enough he will find the line. He may need further, but there is class there.

VALUE RUNNER:

No 10 NEW TIPPERARY

R9 - 5:40pm. TAB.COM.AU HANDICAP - 1900m.

No 4 VELADERO

Has had the trial between runs which has been a tactic Waller has used to good success in recent times. The wet track no issue whatsoever and the step to 1900m suits perfectly.

No 7 GAMBLER’S BLUES

Returned in great order with a tough first-up run on speed when run down really late there. The step to 1900m looks to suit here, as does the wet track as he is very well credentialed on the track. T Martin stable flying atm.

No 10 WINE BUSH

Steps up to 1900m here which suits. He has run quite well on wet tracks in the past and the race he comes out of last start may well be a pointer towards the Derby and Oaks, he looks to be a player heading to those races.

No 3 CAUTHEN’S POWER

Has a good wet-track record and has been running well as of late, it will be no shock to see him step up and perform well here.

VALUE RUNNER:

No 3 CAUTHEN’S POWER
