Eagle Farm Betting Tips & Preview
Betting Tips for every race at Eagle Farm. Today’s best bet is in race 1.
Eagle Farm with the rail out 10 metres the entire circuit could set punters a challenge. The track should be good and it is probably a day to look for horses up on the pace. It is a midweek prize money standard race which generally means there will be a couple of short priced ones that should win and always some upsets.

Best Roughie: R7 – 8. BROOKTON ICE
R1 – 12.27pm. SKY THOROUGHBRED CENTRAL Benchmark 60 Handicap - 1000m
NO 3 MOVING PRESS (Best Bet) Promising galloper who was far too strong when winning maiden at the Sunshine Coast last start. He should be too good for this field.
NO 2 VINTAGE BEAUTY Won two on end showing a lot of speed and battled on well in a much tougher race last time. The obvious danger.
NO 1 BARNSLEY Has some handy form in Victoria. He has the benefit of a 3kgs claim here and rates some chance as he has won first-up previously.
NO 5 ARTETA Very well bred and has shown ability. No trial for comeback but stable can spring surprise results.
VALUE RUNNER: NO 1 BARNSLEY
R2 – 1.05pm. BLOKES DAY OUT Maiden Handicap - 1000m.
NO 2 ALL PLUCK He has had a very big wrap on him and finally showed that ability when second at last run before a break. He has had a jump out and ready to win now.
NO 4 SHARPAMAL Failed only start but good recent trial winner and has shown plenty on the training track. Respect here.
NO 8 TAY SWIFT Has rarely been far away in four starts and good second at the Sunshine coast at latest outing. An obvious danger.
NO 11 LILLIE EVANGELENE Still very green but good second after being deep two runs back at the Sunshine Coast, and then only fair last start. Given another chance here.
VALUE RUNNER: NO 4 SHARPAMAL
R3 – 1.42pm. WEDDINGS AT BRQ QTIS Two-Years-Old Maiden Plate - 1200m.
NO 10 MARSEILLE EN FLEUR Only run yielded a good third behind a smart horse at the Sunshine Coast. The 1200m should suit here.
NO 11 MISS COCHISE Has been placed second at both starts at the Gold Coast. This harder but obviously racing well.
NO 5 MISPRINT Trialled nicely before first start when favourite, and third at Doomben. Should be at his top now.
NO 2 BERAHT Two runs have been handy and looks as though 1200m around this track is perfect for him. Has a top jockey and good barrier.
VALUE RUNNER: NO 5 MISPRINT
R4 – 2.17pm. WWW.BRC.COM.AU Benchmark 60 Handicap - 1800m.
NO 5 HESEZSO Good winner at Lismore last start and this isn't much harder. He should relish the 1800m.
NO 2 JOUEUR Forget last-run fourth at Beaudesert as got in the wrong part of the track and only plugged home. Has been looking for 1800m or longer.
NO 1 HIGH WIND Well-bred and stuck on solidly in his races. No real dash at the finish and needs to turn this into a grind home.
NO 4 WATCHED Didn't have much luck last start when went around deep the whole way in a similar race. Each way here.
VALUE RUNNER: NO 4 WATCHED
R5 – 2.52pm. VUEVE SOCIETY MEMBERSHIP Maiden Handicap - 1400m.
NO 4 SWEET RED WINE (Next Best Bet) Looked very unlucky last start when missed the jump by several lengths and ran fourth this track. This distance and class is perfect now.
NO 2 IDALIA'S DREAM Has run second at both his starts and both times has indicated 1400m or further would suit better. Strong each-way hope.
NO 5 SIRTIME Has been racing well in this class with placings past three starts. He will need some luck from the barrier but definite chance.
NO 8 ANTIGONE Ran home strongly for second at Doomben behind a promising horse. Another suited at 1400m.
VALUE RUNNER: NO 8 ANTIGONE
R6 – 3.27pm. GALLOPERS SPORTS CLUB Class 1 Handicap - 1500m.
NO 1 DOT PAINTING Had some handy southern form before only start this area where he led all the way to win a Doomben maiden. No reason he can't win again.
NO 5 SCARLET BEGONIAS Went to Murwillumbah to win two runs back and not bad in a Doomben Class 3 recently. One of the better chances.
NO 8 EIGHT VERSES Good Gold Coast win two starts back and forget last start failure at the Sunshine Coast when had no luck. This is weak so rates a hope.
NO 2 FUSI FOX Races in the same colours as champion Vo Rogue. No champion but racing well before breakthrough maiden win latest effort.
VALUE RUNNER: NO 8 EIGHT VERSES
R7 – 4.05pm. RACEZONE Ratings Band 0-60 Handicap - 1300m.
NO 7 CODE ONE Rarely runs a bad race and ran into a handy horse when second at the Sunshine Coast recently. Chance in this weak affair.
NO 3 SO YOU DRINK Very consistent in Toowoomba without winning. Looks to have each way hopes again.
NO 8 BROOKTON ICE (Best Roughie) Did a good job first-up to run second at Beaudesert in what was a strangely-run race. Has the right barrier to get a good opportunity.
NO 5 LAKOTA SIOUX One of those horses who is always running into trouble. But when things go right, he can put in a big effort. Has won first up and had a recent jump out.
VALUE RUNNER: NO 8 BROOKTON ICE
R8 – 4.42pm. SPONSORSHIP@BRC.COM.AU Class 4 Handicap - 1400m.
NO 4 SPRING TYCOON A lot of good judges at the Sunshine Coast rate this horse very highly. Much better-placed in this class and distance than last start in an open three-year-old. Looks the winner.
NO 5 BIG BAMBOO Very good effort first-up when used up to share the lead and only dropped out last 100m. Fitter now.
NO 6 COUNTER MEAL Finished very fast to win at Beaudesert last start. All his best efforts are on soft tracks so check the weather before betting.
NO 8 SUGAR HIT Honest mare who led all of the way to win at Ipswich where she got away with a cheap lead. Given the same latitude this time can win again.
VALUE RUNNER: NO 5 BIG BAMBOO
