Where there is smoke there is fire and she strikes a firm track here.

Showed good pace to go down late when second over 1200m against her own sex at Moonee Valley on March 2. She is a stable-mate to Angasi and can give Team Hayes a quinella.

Has shown enough to warrant here first up. She ran seventh at her final start over 1400m at Pakenham on November 17. She gets a soft draw in one and is from a leading stable.

Was spelled after finishing 13th over 1400m at Caulfield on July 30. New Zealand-bred gelding whose prior form was top notch and on those efforts is worth backing here.

No2 BABY DON’T CRY

Is resuming off a 165-day break here. Was given a soft trial when finishing fifth over 900m at Wangaratta on March 6. Has a good first-up record of four starts for a win and a placing.

No1 BELESRON

Is a veteran galloper who is from the leading stables of Ciaron Maher. He is fresh off a 30-day gap and with apprentice Jack Hill to ride can improve on his last-start sixth in the country.

No3 REWARD THE DREAM

Is lightly raced and was given a soft trail when running fourth over 800m at Cranbourne on March 6. Has the good record of three wins and a second at seven starts.

Was caught deep and still displayed courage last time.

Was backed from $14 into $8 before finishing second over 1200m at Ballarat on February 26. Patrick Maloney replaces apprentice Jordan Childs and should be fitter.

No6 SPANNER HEAD

Has good form and can expect a forward showing first up off a 116-day break. Latest was a $4.40 favourite when running third over 2040m at Moonee Valley on January 18.

No7 TICKETING

Had won his trial well before finishing seventh over 1200m at Sandown first up on February 22. Thomas Sadler keeps the ride and has a good record at only seven starts.
