Betting Tips for every race at Sandown.

Mon, 20 Mar, 12:00 AM

Racing returns again to Sandown for the Wednesday meeting. The false rail will be out to four metres and the track is rated as a Good 3. There is rain forecast on Wednesday but hopefully there is not too much and it does not become a bog like Randwick last Saturday for the Golden Slipper.

No5 MAGIC THOR Wears winkers for the first time and ideally drawn (1).

R2 – 2.00pm. Hamilton Reid Accountants Handicap – 1400m.

No2 CREATIVITY She made a smashing return to score a slashing one-length win against her own age and sex in a 1200m maiden at Cranbourne first-up on March 3. Damian Lane keeps the ride and respect.

No4 SPARKLE NSW filly who was specked at her Victorian debut before finishing fourth over 1200m at Ballarat on March 7. Brad Rawiller replaces apprentice Jordan Childs and should be improved.

No10 ART SHE QUICK Is a lightly-raced maiden filly who was plunged from $11 into $7.50 before finishing third in a 1300m maiden at Bendigo on February 28. Ace jockey Craig Williams is the new rider.

No8 SUNDELL Has a superior draw (2) after crossing from 12 last time to flood into fourth place over 1300m against her own sex and age on March 15. Bears each-way thought.

No8 ALASKAN SUN Gets top jockey Craig Williams taking over the reins and is from an astute stable. Solid effort when third over 1200m at Ballarat on March 7. Has a handy draw in gate six.

No12 THINK LIKE A BIRD Perfectly drawn in two to repeat her last win when breaking her maiden status over 1600m at Ballarat on March 7. She gets top jockey Dwayne Dunn to ride and has heaps of upside.

No2 SIGA LA VACA Is ultra-consistent and was a top effort to run second over 1600m at Ballarat on March 8. With apprentice Chris Caserta’s 3kg claim his impost is reduced to 58.5kg.

R6 – 4.00pm. Ladbrokes Handicap – 1000m.

No5 SACRED SHAM Packed a punch to knock-out his rivals at debut over 1000m maiden at Seymour on February 21. He gets top jockey Craig Williams to ride and could be the omen tip here in light of the controversial case around his trainer.

No3 EPIC MOMENT Is a well-bred galloper who was imposing at second start when winning over 1000m at Cranbourne on May 27. Had a long time off so could be injury enforced, but has deep talent.

No10 MOTOWN LIL Likes this track and would draw a line through her second up start when racing down the straight 1100m at Flemington to run seventh. Dwayne Dunn rides and can improve.
