The Doomben meeting set down for today has been switched to the Sunshine Coast because Doomben is playing very truly. The Sunshine Coast also has had a lot of racing and a lot of rain. The rail is out eight metres which means front runners can have an advantage but the fields are so small all runners should get their chances. As always the best place to be is on the crown of the track in the straight.

NO 4 PRIMAL TOUCH Plugged away for third this track and distance on a bog track last time. Looks hard to beat with a claim here.
NO 1 CALL THE CAPTAIN He has been good at his past two starts with seconds in better company than this. Stepping up to the right distance for him here.
NO 6 TRUSTED MAGIC Not bad when fourth last start this track and distance. Has some hopes at the weights here.
NO 3 THE LAST ECHO Belted at both race starts but fitter now and at a suitable distance. This is very weak and has some claims.
VALUE RUNNER: NO 6 TRUSTED MAGIC
NO 4 NASHVILLE SKYLINE (BEST BET) Looks above average and very good run when second at first start at Eagle Farm. Handled the shifty track and caught wide. This suits perfectly.
NO 2 MISPRINT Keeps missing the start so form has been very good considering. If he jumps cleanly he will be hard to beat.
NO 3 YOICHI Trialled well and had no luck at all both race starts. Jumped to lead and then over raced when beaten long way last start. Better than that.
NO 6 SUN DECK Beaten a long way at first start when fourth but has been working well and can improve here.
VALUE RUNNER: NO 3 YOICHI
NO 3 MADLUCE MISSILE (NEXT BEST BET) Finally behaved himself at the start last time and scored an easy Eagle Farm win. He is promising and now his barrier manners have improved can win plenty of races.
NO 2 CAPTAIN DODGE Was very strong at the finish when winning on heavy going this track last time. Can handle the step up to 1600m.
NO 8 SHE GOES POP Has had her chance at past two starts when minor placed. But down in weights and suited this small field.
NO 5 PORTSEA Placed twice this track before having little luck when fifth at Doomben last start. Can improve back on home track.
VALUE RUNNER: NO 5 PORTSEA
NO 2 IDALIA'S DREAM Has been a model of consistency running minor placings at all four starts. Gets his chance to win now in a weak race.
NO 1 SWEET RED WINE Didn't handle the shifty track last start when well beaten at Eagle Farm. Previous form solid and has since worked well with stakes inner Cylinder Beach.
NO 6 ENDLESS HOPE Race form has been solid and has trialled well twice of late. Looks the main danger to the top pair.
NO 5 BOUCHARD Has been racing well without looking like winning a race. Might get an easy lead here which would be her best hope.
VALUE RUNNER: NO 6 ENDLESS HOPE
NO 2 MAGNUS COR Good third first-up and looks suited here in a race with plenty of early pace. He can finish very fast.
NO 9 RED HANDLE He has won his past two starts in very good fashion with the latest a storming effort from well back in the field. Another suited by plenty of early pace.
NO 5 WIGGLESWORTH (BEST ROUGHIE) A horse who always looks like winning but just can't finish off his races. However from barrier one and with a claim here gets into this race very well.
NO 8 SNITZEL'S JOY Has won her past two starts impressively and while this is tougher she looks hard to beat. Likes wet tracks.
VALUE RUNNER: NO 5 WIGGLESWORTH
