Wyong (Wednesday) Betting Preview & Tips
Betting tips for every race at Wyong. Today’s best bet is in race 4
Wyong for the midweek meeting this week, where we have eight races on the card, yet only 65 acceptances and with the holiday meetings around at the moment we are going to be dealing with diluted fields for the next few weeks. The track should get into the good range by race day and the rail is true
QUADDIES (races 5-6-7-8)
Skinny Play: 6 – 3 – 1,5 – 2,4
Wide Play: 3,6 – 1,2,3,5 – 1,2,5 – 1,2,4,6,8
BEST BET: R4 – N1 POSTMASTER GENERAL
Next Best Bet: R5 – N6 ZONK
Best Roughie: R6 – N3 SEGENHOE
R1 – 12.35pm. Vawdrey Trailers Australia Handicap – 1350m.
No 2 LUCKY FISH was good enough first up in a similar sort of race, he had to carry 61kgs that day and still ran good time for the day. He comes to this second-up down 4kgs and has his chance to get that second win on the board.
No 1 MIAMI DADE has been solid in his two trials leading into this, the 1350m kick off point for this preparation does look good as he needs a mile to show his best, but this isn’t the strongest of races.
No 3 OUR BEATNIK hasn’t shown his best in Sydney for over a year now. He has a good enough fresh record and his trials suggest he has come back well, he gets the cosy run from the gate.
No 5 VANILOQUIO ran in quite a good race last start at Newcastle where he carried a big weight, he drops now to 54.5kgs here. He handles all going and has been going well as of late.
VALUE RUNNER: No 5 VANILOQUIO
R2 – 1.10pm. Central Coast Mariners Handicap – 1000m.
No 3 PARTYHOUSE has been quite good at winning both runs this time in at country level, she has proven that she can sprint over 1000m and run fast time off the back of a good early pace. She has race fitness on her side here.
No 1 ONCE MORE A LADY has been trialing up in good fashion leading into the resumption here. The form around her is quite good and off the form of the horses around her, she is hard to beat.
No 2 HOW SWEET IT IS was getting the job done at the provincial and country level last time in before running into Zumbelina and Achi Baba. The two trials leading into this have been quite good and she has her chance here.
No 6 PLANET’S PRINCESS won in good time at Canberra last start and has since gone to the Chris Waller yard since the fresh win. The form out of the race looks as if it can stand up here.
VALUE RUNNER: No 6 PLANET’S PRINCESS
R3 – 1.45pm. Volvo Commercial Vehicles Newcastle Handicap - 1350m.
No 1 OUR MANTRA comes out of a good race last start that should hold up here. There were some nice horses behind him that day and he should be able to dictate terms here.
No 3 BIDWEE didn’t handle the heavy 10 track when resuming. With fitness now on his side, he should be able to improve here as the 1350m looks to suit.
No 4 IKABA was fav on debut in the Wellington Boot and the race was quite messy and I look to be forgiving of that. The blinkers on here could help him take a closer spot in the run.
No 5 TANGLED has been back to the trials since the run behind Sanction, the trial was quite good and I have to respect it here up to the 1350m.
VALUE RUNNER: No 3 BIDWEE
R4 – 2.20pm. Galaxy Finance & Property Group Handicap - 1000m.
No 1 POSTMASTER GENERAL (BEST BET) ran right through the line first up in what was an impressive return to racing. He carried a big weight that day and only goes up half a kilo for the run. He has proven in the past that he can run good time and looks to be a 1000m specialist.
No 5 PEDWAY has been back to the trials recently and the form out of recent runs has been quite good and has to be respected here.
No 6 BEST GUESS won well last start when dictating in a weaker race, I don’t think he will be able to lead here, but he looks to have some progression.
No 4 PALLADIAN has always had some sort of a boom on him all of his career and he has only won the one race thus far. He has had two trials leading into this fresh run and has a chance here.
VALUE RUNNER: No 4 PALLADIAN
R5 – 2.55pm. Phoenix Fire Protection Handicap -1350m.
No 6 ZONK (NEXT BEST) won in imposing fashion upon resumption, she was set up for a kill and got the job done. The set up to 1350m second up after the 1000m run looks weird, but the talent she looks to have can overcome that.
No 3 AQUATIC ran well last start and looked to find his form again, he has been going well as of late and has his chance.
No 5 SUBMISSIVE comes out of some good races as of late and is at her preferred distance and may well break through here.
No 1 MEDLYN was just horrid last start after the good debut win, maybe it was the heavy 10? I am not sure, just forgetting that and going off the debut.
VALUE RUNNER: No 5 SUBMISSIVE
R6 – 3.35pm. Men Of Football – Central Coast Handicap - 2100m.
No 3 SEGENHOE (BEST ROUGHIE) was a massive run last start when resuming and did it tough. The step up here to 2100m looks just perfect here with McEvoy on board, he should be winning.
No 2 NO RETURN just another old mate here who keeps running around in races such of these and is always thereabouts.
No 5 STAR ZONE comes out of some good races in Victoria as of late and this looks to be a drop in grade from the last start at Kerang and I love the quick back up.
No 1 GET ON THE GRANGE looks to lead them up here, off his last start effort and gets a good claim for Heywood. He has been running well as of late.
VALUE RUNNER: No 3 SEGENHOE
R7 – 4.10pm. Central Coast Football Handicap - 1600m.
No 5 MONTIGNAC has been in good form as of late and looks to have found a winnable race here. She is adept in all sorts of conditions and has her chance to break through.
No 1 CHANDANA gets one last chance here to show her best. She keeps trialing well, but doesn’t get it done on race day. This is as weak a race that she has run in, in quite some time.
No 2 EVA LUNA has been running well as of late and has a chance to break back into the winners circle, the drier the better.
No 7 KIRINI is getting out to a suitable distance here after the resuming run over 1400m. She is a winner at the mile in the past.
VALUE RUNNER: No 2 EVA LUNA
R8 – 4.50pm. Go Electrical Handicap - 1200m.
No 2 POUND STERLING Resumed with a big run fresh and did it the tough way on pace that day. Yet to win second-up in the past, and he hasn’t won in quite some time. But the way he ran fresh showed me he had come back in good form.
No 4 KITTEAU ran on well first up and was probably too far back for the day that day. Hopefully from gate 5 Shinn can have him a touch closer in running and pounce late.
No 6 ANGHARAD was good enough fresh without much luck. Last preparation she didn’t have any luck in better races than this. She is a winner at the track in the past.
No 8 TSWALU has some really good form around him and trialled up quite well coming into this, she is a winner at the track in the past and has a chance here.
VALUE RUNNER: No 6 ANGHARAD
