Gosford (Thursday) Betting Preview & Tips
Betting tips for every race at Gosford. Today’s best bet is in race 2
Gosford for the midweek provincial meeting, we are coming off the back of two meetings in the last two days at Kembla and Warwick Farm so we have diluted fields of only 62 runners over eight races. Hard to find value here. But eight winners to find. Rail is true and track is good.
QUADDIES (races 5-6-7-8)
Skinny Play: 2,5 – 1,2 – 6,7,8 – 1,4
Wide Play: 2,3,4,5 – 1,2,3 – 2,6,7,8 – 1,3,4,5
BEST BET: R2 – 1. SEGENHOE
Next Best Bet: R1 – 3. MOKI
Best Roughie: R8 – 4. LUCIENNE
R1 – 12.05pm. Debortoli Emeri Pink CG&E Maiden Plate - 1100m.
No3 MOKI (NEXT BEST BET) looks set to break his maiden here after a strong effort last start when just beaten at Gosford. This race looks weaker than that and he gets Collett back on board for his father here and from gate 4 he gets a sweet run.
No1 GOLDEN ROAD has been gelded since the last prep and has trialled in good fashion in both time leading in. Looks to have a chance.
No7 PYMBLE drops in grade here and gets the claim for Innes. He led them up last start and may well do the same here.
No4 OAKFIELD GENERAL has trialled up well for the debut run here. He gets good weight relief for King and looks well suited.
VALUE RUNNER: No7 PYMBLE
R2 – 12.40pm. Tabcorp Benchmark 64 Handicap - 2100m.
No1 SEGENHOE (BEST BET) should get team Collett off to a perfect start of 2/2 to the day here. He may have been a touch underdone second up to 2100m there and should be much fitter now. 61kgs no issue at all as he is a big strapping lad who will have no issue running the trip out.
No3 ZAVEENA comes out of the same race as Segenhoe last start and looks to have his chance here.
No4 WILDFLOWER looks ready for this trip now after three good runs this time in. She is a winner over distance in the past and the quick backup suits.
No5 PYRAMID PRINCE will keep whacking away here and gets up to his preferred distance now. The winkers off enable him to settle more.
VALUE RUNNER: No4 WILDFLOWER
R3 – 1.15pm. Tooheys New Benchmark 63 Handicap - 1000m.
No3 JONNY GE
No5 HASHTAG NOIDEA
VALUE RUNNER: No5 HASHTAG NOIDEA
R4 – 1.50pm. Schweppes 3yo Maiden Handicap - 1200m.
No5 AURORA ROSE
No1 EL VENETIAN
No2 HE’S BLESSED
No6 DEHERE THE BOMB
VALUE RUNNER: No2 HE’S BLESSED
R5 – 2.30pm. Worthington BMW Class 1 Handicap - 1200m.
No2 EXCLAMATION was home for all money last start and somehow got run down by Wang Wah! Second-up now she should be improved and hard to beat.
No5 PICARDY ROSE was a good winner on debut in good time and has trialled well since then. The claim for Innes gets her well in the weights.
No3 HAV A NIP flew home late last start and should be better suited at the 1200m here. The form out of his three runs this time in has been good.
No4 EPITOMISE drops well in grade here out of a good race last start. She looks to lead them up here and should be hard to run down.
VALUE RUNNER: No3 HAV A NIP
R6 – 3.10pm. The Pandora Committee Maiden Handicap - 1600m.
No1 VAUCLUSE BAY
No2 TEARAWAY CHARLIE
No6 ANNIE SATURDAY
VALUE RUNNER: No6 ANNIE SATURDAY
R7 – 3.50pm. Gosford City Farmers Market F&M Maiden Plate - 1100m.
No7 SILENT SEA
No8 SUNSET JEWEL
No2 FLAME OF LOVE
VALUE RUNNER: No8 SUNSET JEWEL
R8 – 4.25pm. James Squire 150 Lashes Class 1 Handicap - 1200m.
No1 LUCKY FISH gets one last chance here. He is running well but is lacking the killer punch at this moment. Hutchings is the jockey to stand over him.
No4 LUCIENNE (BEST ROUGHIE) has been trialing up well enough here to have a chance fresh. She has placed fresh before and this is as weak a race that she has run in.
No5 MEDAGLIA VALORE won well last start when breaking her maiden, she has always looked as if she had above average ability and may well go on with it.
No3 BANUELO just ran out of condition fresh at Newcastle. While she is yet to do anything second up in the past, this is a weak race.
VALUE RUNNER: No4 LUCIENNE
