This game shapes as a mini final with two of the rising powers in the AFL.

Both teams come into this clash in good form with the Giants having won five straight matches and the Saints having won three of their past four.

This game is being built as a toss of the coin between two genuine contenders, however, we do not see it that way and are anticipating the Giants will win comprehensively ($1.48 @ Bet 365).

The teams met once last season at Etihad Stadium, where the teams meet tonight, in Round 5 and the Giants won comprehensively by 47 points. On that day the Giants ran riot through the midfield and that is the area that they have a clear advantage in.

While GWS will miss exciting small forward Toby Greene who is out through suspension, Greene had his best game of 2016 in this fixture collecting 31 disposals and booting four goals, they have so much forward line depth that it will give more opportunities to Steve Johnson and Jonathon Patton.

Last week the Giants tall timber trio of Jeremy Cameron, Jonathon Patton and Rory Lobb combined for eight of the 11 goals the Giants scored and the trio will stretch St Kilda defensively and expose the Saints weakness in that department.

St Kilda kept their finals chances alive with an emphatic 75 point win over Hawthorn last week, and while that it is an impressive score, it is more a reflection on how poor Hawthorn are rather than St Kilda’s superiority.

Hawthorn has lost three of their past four matches by margins of 86, 86 and 75 points so as a result the betting market for the Saints has been affected too greatly by the big win. The consequence of this is tremendous betting opportunities backing the Giants and anchoring them as the first leg of your multi bet.

The Giants look a lock for top two on the ladder and are a great price at $3.75 to win the premiership with Sportsbet, Bet 365, Crownbet, Luxbet and Ladbrokes.

Jeremy Cameron booted a game high five goals when these teams clashed last and again looks a good bet to kick the most majors.
