Tue, 16 May, 1:35 AM

Warwick Farm for the midweek meeting here, some intriguing races early on in the day with some horses who may well be QLD bound. We will be on a good track come race day and the rail is out 3m the circuit.

QUADDIES (races 4-5-6-7)

Skinny Play: 5,6 – 1,13,14 – 4,6,8 – 7,15

Wide Play: 4,5,6,10 – 1,2,8,9,12,13,14 – 1,4,6,7,8,12 – 1,7,9,15

Next Best Bet: R7 – 15. TEST THE WORLD

Best Roughie: R3 – 7. VAUCLUSE BAY

R1 – 12.45pm. TAB Rewards Handicap - 1400m.

No2 BARBEQUE got the job done well on debut and really ran through the line well. The step up now to 1400m looks ideal and he is up and running / has had a win while two of the other 11 haven't done that as of yet.

No1 PADRAIG comes to New South Wales for his first start this prep and B Melham comes up to ride him? This has me intrigued. The trial was good and he started fav in the Karaka Million, he is bred to get further and looks a chance.

No3 KOOKABAA gets to 1400m to the first time here and has been looking as if he needs it. Barrier 10 is a touch sticky however.

No6 BEZZINA ran through the line well on debut. Up to 1400m now is suitable and he has a chance here.

R2 – 1.20pm. Bowermans Office Furniture Handicap - 1400m.

No3 QUEEN OF HEIGHTS (BEST BET) comes out of a really good race first-up and should take a lot of benefit fitness wise out of that race. Form around Pelorus Jack should hold up and from gate 3 she is going to get a lovely run and has a chance here.

No2 LOVELETTER started fav in same race as Queen Of Heights and gets Bowman here and made a wide run, third-up he looks set to peak.

No8 AURORA ROSE was solid enough fresh in the same race and should take a lot of benefit fitness wise.

No6 ISLE OF CAPRI has been good in two runs this preparation and should be improved out to 1400m here.

QUEEN OF HEIGHTS Warwick Farm AUS 04:20 - Winner

R3 –1.55pm. TAB Handicap - 1600m.

No7 VAUCLUSE BAY (BEST ROUGHIE) won well last start in albeit a crappy race. But I love how he powered through the line there. Bowman on ticks all boxes.

No3 PELORUS JACK was a good winner last start and gets a weird set up here as he is 1200m-1300m and now 1600m. Would have liked to have seen him run over 1400m/1500m before coming into him.

No2 LORD MACAU probably should have won the Wagga Guineas last start with a decent ride. He is at the same level here and gets Parr.

No5 TRAVANCORE drops in grade and back to the mile here, he has the talent and gets blinkers on.

R4 – 2.35pm. Schweppes Handicap – 1000m.

No6 VICEMAN should be improved after a weird first-up run. He looked gone on the turn and surged late to be beaten on the line. Second up at his home track are ticks.

No5 VICEROY belted them upon resumption at Wagga. He ran really fast time for the day and accelerated off a fast pace. Second-up here he’s hard to roll.

No10 ILLTEXTYA has been running fast time at country level and gets in with no weight here. Lets see if he can do it in the city.

No4 WANNA GET A WHAT is up from highway level and is back to 1000m but he has won three times over the distance in the past.

R5 – 3.10pm. #THERACES Handicap - 1400m.

No1 HIGH MIST has trialled in good fashion coming into a fresh run here and has been gelded since his last prep. That could be the making of him as he is a stakes class horse.

No13 OUR BEATNIK gets a big field here and should get a good smother run in the race. He is a horse who has a short sharp sprint and this suits.

No14 EXCLAMATION I am starting to think this horse is a non-winner, twice this prep he has looked a winner and turned it up. Clark on and down in weight. One last chance.

No8 SKILLFUL should be ready to improve third-up from a spell. He has been finding the line well enough.

R6 –3.45pm. All Too Hard @ Vinery Handicap - 1600m.

No4 DREAMFORCE was softened up in the lead last start and that told on him late. Now to a mile where he should get an easier time of it.

No6 CHANDANA has found her spark back and ran right through the line last start. She ate up the mile two back and should run well.

No8 VIA NAPOLI drops in grade here and should find this a touch easier. She is a winner at the mile in the past.

No12 MISS BALLANTINE closed off well last start and gets the blinkers on for the first time in an attempt to spark her up.

R7 – 4.20pm. TAB.com.au Handicap - 1200m.

No15 TEST THE WORLD (NEXT BEST BET) should be much fitter after a good first-up run and win at Gosford. She may have well been underdone that day as it was her race to lose on paper. Second-up to 1200m on her home track from a soft draw she may well explode here as she has above average ability.

No7 SLOW BURN lost the race when she missed the kick last start. The form has stood up well and she is hard to beat here.

No9 NOIRE ran right through the line last start and won well. She should improve yet again off that and should be in the finish.

No1 CIARLET has trialled well coming into a fresh run here and this looks to be a good kick off point for her preparation.
