Are Geelong back in town after a big win over the Bulldogs?

Well, that is the best footy debate doing the rounds at the pub currently after the Cats bounced back to winning form over the defending premiers.

Just like last season it is becoming apparent that the Cats are clearly capable of beating any team in the competition, however, they can also lose to anybody wit all three of their losses being to sides which aren’t likely to be playing finals footy.

The Cats defeats this season have been 29 points to Collingwood, 23 points to Gold Coast and 17 points against Essendon.

Geelong do lift against the good sides and on the back of a 23-point win after trailing at three quarter time last week, they are primed for another big showing here.

After a quiet few weeks Patrick Dangerfield returned to his brilliant best against the Dogs with a match winning performance and as a result shot back to the top of Brownlow Medal markets. The best price currently on offer for him is $4.25 with the team at bet365.

Port Adelaide has been one of the early success stories in 2017 and again put in a good performance dismantling Gold Coast by 72 points in China.

In contrast to Geelong, Port Adelaide has been incredibly reliable winning games that they are expected to claim, but have come up short in matches against the premiership contenders.

Port Adelaide’s three defeats this season have come against Adelaide, Greater Western Sydney and West Coast.

As a result the Power have been terrific for punters as they usually get the job done when they’re favourites but they seem to be missing a few ingredients to knock off the big boys.

Their assignment here has been made even harder as they have a terrible record at the ground, losing six straight.

Port Adelaide won’t be able to stop the Cats midfield led by Dangerfield and Selwood and the Cats should be too good. Geelong has a good draw and represent tremendous value at $13 with Crownbet to go all the way and claim the flag in 2017.

Patrick Dangerfield had 36 disposals and kicked four goals last week. Stick with him to again have a big game.
