Gosford is the provincial meeting this Friday in New South Wales, we have eight races on the card with small fields in each race here, four meetings this week may well have diluted fields. We have a heavy track and the rail is true hard meeting for bets, but I am keen on Lindy Lou in race 7.
QUADDIES (races 5-6-7-8)
Skinny Play: 1,2 - 4,7 - 6 - 5,6,7
Wide Play: 1,2,4,8 - 4,7,8 - 1,5,6 - 1,2,3,5,6,7
BEST BET: R7 - 6. LINDY LOU
Next Best Bet: R1 - 4. VINCERO
No 4 VINCERO (NEXT BEST BET) comes out of a hot race on debut at Hawkesbury. That had come off some good trials and he has had time to get over that run. The trial leading in was fantastic and what makes me keener is that Avdulla is on and not Panya.
No 5 BUCASIA was good last start at Gosford and should be much more improved for that.
No 1 AMMATE has good form around him and gets a chance to breakthrough here.
SCRATCHED No 7 PHOENIX CLAWS has trialled well this time in and brings solid enough form coming in.
VALUE RUNNER: No 1 AMMATE
No 2 CHICQUITA draws a good gate here and has been running well in some decent enough maidens and has a chance.
No 1 BOSTON LIGHT has all the ability but seems to be scared of the winning post.
No 6 VAULTER resumes here and has trialled well enough coming into this.
No 4 LAKSHME looks to be next best here, in what is an average race.
VALUE RUNNER: No 6 VAULTER
No 1 TIP TOP has been good in both career runs to date and gets Clark here and third-up he is ready to win.
SCRATCHED No 8 IBANEZ comes out of some good 2yo races in the first prep and the trials coming into this have been quite good.
SCRATCHED No 5 AWESOME PLUCK (BEST ROUGHIE) has trialled quite well coming into a debut run and could be over the odds.
No 4 RAINOVER MANHATTAN comes out of two good races so far and second-up from a spell here she should run well
VALUE RUNNER: No 5 AWESOME PLUCK
No 1 BANNER SEASON has joined the Lees team since the last start run and found the line well last start.
SCRATCHED No 2 HI CALIBER resumes here with two ok enough trials coming in, he may appreciate further in time.
No 9 VEUVE GIRL comes out of good form races and in what is a weak maiden can improve well.
No 3 KINGSTON HEATH looks next best in what is a weak race.
VALUE RUNNER: No 9 VEUVE GIRL
No 2 PEPPERBERRY comes out of better races than this and should appreciate the step up to the mile here.
SCRATCHED No 1 TATOOSH getting out to 1600m second-up from a spell should be much more suitable here, heavy track no issue.
No 4 POLDARK was good when resuming over 1600m and should be much better suited second-up staying at the 1600m.
SCRATCHED No 8 SPINNING GOLD has a good wet track record and has been going quite well as of late and has his chance.
VALUE RUNNER: No 8 SPINNING GOLD
SCRATCHED No 4 VALIDATE was a dominant winner last start at the track, the step up here to 1200m should be much more suitable.
No 7 CLEVDEN was a good winner fresh from a spell and the step up here to 1200m is suitable and the wet track is no issue.
No 8 EXPRESS POINT has a good wet track record and gets good weight relief after the claim.
No 11 LOVE LAS VEGAS sprinted well when winning last start, she is a winner on a wet track in the past as well.
VALUE RUNNER: No 11 LOVE LAS VEGAS
No 6 LINDY LOU (BEST BET) is no certainty to run as she has been scratched 5-6 times already this time in. It's starting to get frustrating. Her trials coming in as I've said before have been brilliant, wet track shouldn’t be an issue. But if she goes around she could gap them.
No 1 BOLERO KING comes out of some good form races and has had a long while off, the trial leading in has been good enough.
No 5 NEVER OUT was solid enough first-up from a spell, and has been able to handle wet going in the past.
No 7 SOVEREIGN EMINENCE has been good in all runs this time in and comes out of what are good form races and is a chance.
VALUE RUNNER: No 1 BOLERO KING
SCRATCHED No 5 MAGENTAZ has at least had a run near enough the distance which is key in these races and has been going well enough.
No 7 CRIMSON HALO will appreciate the step up to 2600m here and took an eternity to wind up last start over 2400m.
No 6 MISTY MOUNTAIN HOP won that Crimson Halo race last start and was strong enough through the line there.
No 2 RED VIKING has won two of his last three and horses in form need to be respected in these races.
VALUE RUNNER: No 2 RED VIKING
