Wyong (Thursday) Betting Preview & Tips
Betting tips for every race at Wyong. Today’s best bet is in race 3
Thursday provincial racing comes to us from Wyong this week. We have eight races on the card here, small fields are the order of the day. Rail is out 2m and the track is currently rated soft and with even luck we may get to good going. For a best bet, I have settled on Goresbridge in Race 3 (even though he is in Race 1, he looks more suited here) who got beaten by a good one on debut.
QUADDIES (races 5-6-7-8)
Skinny Play: 5,6,8 - 1,2,7 - 3 - 1,2,4
Wide Play: 2,5,6,8 - 1,2,7,8 - 2,3 - 1,2,4,5
Best Bet: R7 – 3. STAR CROSSED
Best Roughie: R8 – 2. HELENSBURGH HAM
R1 – 12.15pm. BEST SIGNS AND SOLVERE WEALTH 3YO MAIDEN PLATE - 1000m.
No1 APACHE DUDE has trialled in good order coming into a debut run here and he gets the blinkers on for a run on his home track.
No2 EMISSIONS gets a good run on the map here and sits just behind the speed here. The claim for Panya helps.
SCRATCHED No3 GORESBRIDGE as outlined above is in Rae 3 too – if he runs here he should win, if he runs in Race 3 he should win.
SCRATCHED No5 BUCASIA has been good in two runs for Perry thus far and has a chance yet again here.
VALUE RUNNER: No1 APACHE DUDE
R2 – 12.50pm. HUCKEL EXCAVATIONS MAIDEN PLATE - 1350m.
No4 THE PATRICIAN has been solid enough in all runs this preparation and finds a winnable race here. Parr should sit him a little closer from gate 4.
No5 WESTON just got gunned down late last start at Goulburn. He comes out of good races previous to that and looks a chance here.
No8 ZEPHERINE was good enough first-up in an ok race, she should strip a lot fitter second-up from the spell and getting to the 1350m is suitable.
No1 IVORYMAN was good enough last preparation and has trialled well coming into this. No shock to see Clark dominate the race from barrier 1 here.
VALUE RUNNER: No5 WESTON
R3 – 1.25pm. CENTRAL COAST BULLDOGS MASTERS RUGBY LEAGUE MAIDEN HANDICAP - 1100m.
SCRATCHED No1 GORESBRIDGE (BEST BET) should dominate this race from in front here. He was super on debut at Canterbury in a much better race than this. He led on a day in which it was super hard to do so and was run down late there by what looks to be a smart one. He comes to a weaker race now and from barrier 8 he should jump, cross, lead and win.
No4 TEARS OF GOLD gets the perfect run behind the speed for Avdulla here. If the fav is wanting late, he could finish over the top.
No2 SEETHING JACKAL has been solid enough in both career starts and has a chance to run well again.
SCRATCHED No8 PERETTI has trialled in good order coming into the debut and a betting watch is advised.
VALUE RUNNER: No2 SEETHING JACKAL
R4 – 2.05pm. CASANOVA OYSTERS & SEAFOOD F&M BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP - 1350m.
No2 RHYMES has been good in both runs this time in, the step to 1350m now is perfect and the booking of Avdulla is better than Gibbons last start.
No1 LADY CHALFONT gets a good claim here for Borg and won well with her on board last start. From gate 3 she should get a good run.
No3 ROSETTAS WHEY gets a good run on the map for Parr here. She has been good without winning as of late.
No5 MUSICAL FAMILY looks to be next best.
VALUE RUNNER: No3 ROSETTAS WHEY
R5 – 2.40pm. THE PROPERTY MARKET PROV & CTRY MAIDEN PLATE - 1100m.
No6 BUCASIA is also in Race 1, but looks to be much better suited here, as she looks to get a soft lead for King.
No8 OUR GIRL HOLLIE comes out of a very good race last start and drops in grade here. Barrier 5 in a small field a touch sticky though.
No5 UNCLE SAM was run off his feet over the 900m on debut and the step up to 1100m now is much more suitable.
SCRATCHED No2 GOOD VERDICT has trialled well coming into the fresh run here. From barrier 4 Avdulla should sit him just behind the leaders.
VALUE RUNNER: No5 UNCLE SAM
R6 – 3.15pm. NAILED IT PROJECTS CLASS 1 HANDICAP - 1600m.
No7 DANZIE is also in on Wednesday at Warwick Farm, but is much better suited here as he isn’t in a benchmark race. The two runs at Goulburn have been quite good.
No2 FLORENCE HILL gets a good run on the map for Jennings. He ran out of gas second-up in Australia and now steps to 1600m which suits.
No1 CHICAGO STOMP comes out of what looks to be a good race last start and gets Angland here, back from BM65 to Class 1 suits.
No6 LUCIENNE drops back to Class 1 level from Class two last start at Newcastle. 1600m suits better than 1350m last start.
VALUE RUNNER: No1 CHICAGO STOMP
R7 – 3.50pm. GIVE ME 5 FOR KIDS CHARITY CUP CLASS 2 HANDICAP - 1100m.
No3 STAR CROSSED (BEST BET) comes into this race with brilliant form. I don’t think he was at all suited over the 1000m in both runs and I love that he is starting out over 1100m this time in and in a provincial race rather than midweeks. The two trials have been fantastic and he is the one to beat here with the claim.
SCRATCHED No2 PARLAY VOUS resumes here ran without luck in all starts last time in. barrier 14 fresh means Avdulla will probably have to go back to last here. But he has a lot of abaility.
No1 KINGS OF LEON has a good fresh record, and looks to have trialled well coming in.
No11 RODE TO SUNDOWN comes out of good races this time in and is as honest as they come. Chance yet again.
VALUE RUNNER: No1 KINGS OF LEON
R8 – 4.25pm. KERNICK LAW CG&E BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP - 1350m.
No1 KOOL VINNIE has been doing a great job as of late winning three of four this time in. The claim for Ryan adds to his chances.
No4 STREET PURSUIT is also in on Wednesday and looks more of a chance here if he runs.
No2 HELENSBURGH HAM (BEST ROUGHIE) drops well in grade after the last start run. Prepared to forgive that run and go off previous form.
No5 TABROBANE has been running well as of late and gets a good run on the map for Adams here.
VALUE RUNNER: No2 HELENSBURGH HAM
