Sunshine Coast (Saturday) Betting Preview & Tips
Betting tips for every race at Sunshine Coast. Today’s best bet is in race 1.
The Sunshine Coast hosts yet another meeting that was not scheduled for it. A typical Saturday Sunny Coast meeting with big fields and lots of chances. Last time a Saturday meeting was here the on pace runners who could get to the crown in the centre of the track were suited. It should be the same again here. The track should be good with some give in it.

R1 - 12.12.pm. POOLPRO.COM.AU No More Than Two Metro Wins Handicap - 1000m.
No2 TUMBLER (BEST BET) Brilliant mare on her day who has had a setback since last start when didn't handle the wet track and ran last in the Group Two Victory Stakes in April. Has won a trial by panels for her comeback. Looks too good for these.
No5 ROYAL OCCASION Honest galloper who has had a stable change. Trialled well for comeback here and has won several times when fresh in races where there is genuine early pace.
No7 LIVE FAST Stepping up in class here but a strong win last start and several other placings give him a chance here. Should get the run of the race.
No6 MARSCAY FORCE Will be big odds here but down in weights from a good draw on a dry track has to be an each-way hope.
VALUE RUNNER: No7 LIVE FAST
R2 - 12.47pm. POOL PRO - CELEBRATING 25 YEARS Ratings Band 0 - 70 Handicap - 1200m.
No10 MUDDY ROPE Didn't do much first-up at Ipswich but is unbeaten in two runs this track and has also had two recent trials. Has a good barrier and a light weight so rates highly.
SCRATCHED No6 KING RED Resuming here without an official trial. Had strong form in better races last campaign and has won first up.
SCRATCHED No2 SNITZEL KNIGHT Nice effort first-up at Ipswich when just behind the placegetters but then flat when well beaten at the Gold Coast last start. Chance here on best Sydney form.
No11 LIMESTONE COWBOY Has been very consistent since coming north from Melbourne with a win and three thirds in easier races. Scratched on Wednesday to run here.
VALUE RUNNER: No6 KING RED
R3 - 1.22pm. NEPTUNE PUMPS FOR SWIMMING POOLS Benchmark 90 Handicap - 1400m.
No7 BANDA SPICE (NEXT BEST BET) She has been racing very well of late in much harder races. Midfield in the Glasshouse Hcp here last start when had no luck. Gets her chance to win here.
SCRATCHED No6 BROTHERLY SECRET Well beaten in the Rockhampton Newmarket last start but a better guide was strong win at the Gold Coast at his previous start.
No2 EIGHT'S A PARTY Never lived up to his early potential but good winner this track last start and usually races well on the fresh side. Looks a value hope here.
No3 TOP TONE Has been running in stakes company and well beaten in the Eye Liner Stakes at Ipswich last start. But back in right grade here and a bit of rain would help.
VALUE RUNNER: No2 EIGHT'S A PARTY
R4 - 2.02pm. POOL PRO QUALITY CHEMICALS QTIS Two-Years-Old Handicap - 1200m.
No1 BRING IT HOME POP Strong winner here last start in similar company. Up in weight and bad barrier but he did look as though he could be even fitter for last-start win.
No3 SAXTON ROCK Raced well in the early season two year old races and then showed he has near that from when third this track last start. Ready to win now.
SCRATCHED No2 ACCEPTILE Very consistent two year old who was fourth this track last start when had little luck in a similar race. Always an each-way hope.
No8 DELANEY'S DESIRE Only start was good win in an easier race but has ability and might be the value runner here.
VALUE RUNNER: No8 DELANEY'S DESIRE
R5 – 2.42pm. BECOME A POOL PRO STOCKIST Class 6 Handicap - 1600m.
SCRATCHED No3 STEAMIN’ Racing well before strong win at Ipswich last start. Creeping up in the weights but this isn't very strong.
SCRATCHED No2 ABOHAR Finished powerfully to win at Doomben last week. Backing up here and also up in the weights but this big track should suit.
No9 BIANTIC Started big odds when good winner at the Gold Coast last week. No luck previous couple of runs and looks a good value hope here.
No1 FLYING LIGHT Being set for the Townsville Cup and forget effort last Saturday when wasn't suited by a wet track. On his best Melbourne form would win this.
VALUE RUNNER: No 9 BIANTIC
R6 - 3.22pm. POOL PRO - SIMPLY A BETTER CHOICE Class 6 Plate - 1200m.
No3 JACK LANCASTER Ran into trouble last start when well beaten this track. Previous run here was strong when second and has drawn barrier one here. Give another chance.
No6 BARNSLEY Best form is this track and good second here last start. Always a hope this track and distance.
No13 ORADONNA Another who had no luck this track recently when third in a similar race. Promising mare who has been racing just below her best of late but suited here.
No4 STELLA OMBRA He is in two races but will probably start in this one. A recent Sydney winner he looks well placed this type of race. Has been minor placed both his starts this track.
VALUE RUNNER: No13 ORADONNA
R7 - 4.02pm. POOL PRO QUEENSLAND CUP - 3200m.
No2 SOVIET COURAGE Has been around the place in Sydney staying races but was well beaten only 3200m start. It was on a wet track and better placed here on top of the ground.
No4 MY DIAMANTINE She isn't very big but she is honest. Ran second in the recent Caloundra Cup at 2400m when running on. She was fourth this race last year and going just as well this year.
No5 RICHARD OF YORKE Ran second in the Stayers Cup 3200m in Sydney two runs back and then well beaten next start again in Sydney. This is weak and he will at least run a strong 3200m.
No8 PARAGON He has won at 3200m and two runs in Queensland have both resulted in fourths when he was finishing strongly. Has been set for this race and each-way hopes are strong.
VALUE RUNNER: No8 PARAGON
R8 - 4.37pm. POOL PRO IS PROUDLY AUSTRALIAN OWNED QTIS Three-Years-Old Handicap - 1000m.
No2 OINK Handy three year old who has been racing in stronger races and over longer trips. Better suited back here at 1200m and down in class.
SCRATCHED No7 MALVERN ESTATE Well-bred three year old who has won two and been second from past three starts in easier races. This is her biggest test but shows promise.
No10 PUBLISHING POWER Stable is in good form and he had no luck when second at Ipswich at his most recent run. This is tough but has claims at big odds.
SCRATCHED No14 JADENTOM Three runs have been good and last start back in March finished mid field in a good standard three year old. The run was much better than it looks on paper as he had no luck at all.
VALUE RUNNER: No14 JADENTOM
R9 - 5.18pm. POOL PRO - PRODUCTS PROFESSIONALS USE Class 3 Plate - 1400m.
No2 ELJETEM Back in Queensland after a stint in Victoria. Was scratched at the barriers at Ipswich but then good third at Doomben last start when had no luck in the straight. The 1400m around this big track suits.
No12 TAP THIS (BEST ROUGHIE) Another who has never lived up to her early potential but better run last start when fourth at Doomben last Saturday. She probably wants more ground but this big track suits in this class.
No11 NATURAL BLACK Probably should have won instead of finishing fifth last start in a similar race this track. One of the better hopes here.
No7 LORD MARMADUKE Finished well to win at Ballina last start and back on home track here has a good each-way hope.
VALUE RUNNER: No12 TAP THIS
