A massive battle of the west is shaping to end Round 17.
The battle in the west is always intriguing but this game means so much for the West Coast Eagles who must win to keep their season alive.
West Coast once again failed miserably under pressure last week when losing to Port Adelaide, which undid all the good work from the week before, when they won impressively on the road against the Western Bulldogs.
The Eagles are a soft team who constantly fails when the pressure is on, but they have so much class in the midfield they should be able to rack up enough footy to get the much needed four points.
Fremantle has been an improver this season and won plenty of admirers with a gutsy four-point win over North Melbourne at Etihad Stadium.
The Eagles must and should hit back with a win.
West Coast has won their past four matches against Fremantle and after winning 11 of 13 games at Domain Stadium last season they have again had a good record at the ground this year having registered five wins.
The teams met earlier in the season and the Eagles were way too good.
That game was in Round 6 at Domain Stadium with West Coast winning by 41 points and we are anticipating a similar result here.
The Eagles welcome back Josh Kennedy who kicked a game high six goals when these sides met last and he looks primed to return with a bang and kick the most majors. It was the midfield for the West Coast that dominated that day which is usually the case when they win comfortably.
Andrew Gaff had a game high 34 disposals with Masten, Priddis and Yeo all chiming in with 32.
The Eales need a strong end to the season to play finals and should start with a win in the Western Australian Derby.
Andrew Gaff had 34 disposals when these sides met last and looks a good bet to gain the most.
