Betting tips for every race at Ipswich. Today’s best bet is in race 4.

Ipswich can cut up badly in rain so watch the weather. But it should be back to around the soft-good range. Early pace is always the key to races at Ipswich but with relatively small fields it won't be so important.

QUADDIES (races 4,5,6,7)

Skinny Play: 2/3/1,3,7,10/1,2,5

Wide Play: 2,3,4,6/1,3,4,7/1,3,7.10/1,2,5,10

R1 - 1.07pm. GRANDVIEW STUD Colts, Geldings and Entires Maiden Handicap - 1020m.

No1 SNEAKY SNIPER Won a Gold Coast trial in very good fashion to prepare for first start here. Should be hard to beat from good barrier.

No2 GOOD GRAB (BEST ROUGHIE) Won a trial nicely and then never on the track when fifth in a much stronger maiden last time. Has drawn the rails this time and still should be value odds.

SCRATCHED No7 SIR TITANITE Won a trial and then was sensationally backed last start but couldn't go one metre on the bog track. Give another chance.

No4 GALLANT SAGA Has had a few starts and placed a couple of times. Won a Sunshine Coast trial in handy fashion. Suited here.

R2 - 1.42pm. SIRROMET Fillies and Mares Maiden Handicap - 1020m.

No11 BIA TYCHE Has been most consistent of late and placed four of past five starts. Is an emergency here but should get a run and will be hard to beat.

No1 ALASKAN GOLD Wasn't asked to do much in a recent trial. She is well bred and stable has a good strike rate with first starters.

No7 SEND A MEMO Has been placed this track and recent form isn't too bad for what is a very weak maiden.

No5 ROTINDY Made up a lot of ground when third at Dalby last start and has an apprentices claim here. Ready to win a race like this.

R3 - 2.17pm CITY OF IPSWICH QTIS Three-Years-Old Maiden Plate - 1700m.

No2 BRICKHALL His recent form suggests he should win this. Got home very well at the Sunshine Coast last start when second. This distance looks ideal for him.

No4 KIRIN'S LAD Has been racing well and not far away in a maiden at the Gold Coast last start. Another who is well suited at this distance.

No8 LUCY LE ROC Placed at 1400m and 1600m in maiden class at her past two starts. This is no harder and has strong each-way hopes again.

No5 REDHAZE Placed two of past three races in country events on the Darling Downs. Not far away in a race at Doomben last campaign and can race well here.

BRICKHALLIpswich 05:17 - Winner

R4 - 2.52pm. SKY THOROUGHBRED CENTRAL Class 1 Handicap - 1200m.

No2 IGNITE THE LIGHT (BEST BET) Has shown plenty of promise and raced well in Sydney last year without winning. Very good effort to win a trial and on his best form would win this.

No3 AMARYLISS Has some good form in city midweek races before a spell and won a trial in handy fashion recently. Usually races well fresh.

No6 CHOICE SON Has improved with each start and very impressive winning at Dalby last start. This is harder, but not much harder.

No4 JELLYBEAN Sunshine Coast winner two runs back and then struck trouble latest when fifth that track. Not much depth here and has each-way claims.

R5 - 3.27pm. SCHWEPPES Class 1 Handicap - 1530m.

SCRATCHED No3 FRENCH TOAST (NEXT BEST BET) Scored a strong win this track two starts back and then had little luck when second on the Sunshine Coast last start when probably should have won. Hard to beat here.

SCRATCHED No1 MEHMETO Surprise winner at the Gold Coast last start but had shown potential previously and should go on with it here.

No7 IRISH VICE Finished very fast to win at the Gold Coast two starts back and then got into trouble when well beaten at Doomben last start. This is easier.

No4 ASTRONOMIC Broke through for an overdue win at the Gold Coast last start and this isn't very hard. Chance again.

R6 - 4.05pm. RAY WHITE IPSWICH Ratings Band 0 - 70 Handicap - 1700m.

No3 HARADIFY Placed three of past four starts on the Darling Downs. Rarely misses a place this track and this distance should suit now.

No10 BOLD HEART Ran third in a far stronger mid weak race at Doomben. Only has to handle this distance to be in the finish.

No7 TOPENDING Recent form doesn't look strong but has not had much luck. Does have a very good record this track and this distance.

No1 BUDGET BENDER He can over race if let go too early and did that when failed last time. But has a good record this distance and likes this track. Give another chance.

R7 - 4.42pm. THE QLD TIMES Class 2 Handicap - 1350m.

No2 HIDDEN BUDGET Has always shown potential and strong win at the Gold Coast last start. This is no harder.

No1 BOLD KINGSTON Tough two-year-old taking on older horses and getting up in the weights. Handy fourth in a similar race to this last time and has claims again.

No10 I AM THE WARRIOR Has been racing consistently without winning. Four placings and a fourth past five. Deserves a win.

No5 JACQUERIC Hasn't had much luck his past two runs and gets in well here with an apprentice's claim.

HIDDEN BUDGET Ipswich 07:42 - Winner
