Canterbury is our Wednesday Sydney location this week the track has been playing brilliantly this winter and with the fantastic weather we have had in Sydney in the lead up the track will be in the good range and the rail is +3m the circumference.

QUADDIES (races 4-5-6-7)

Skinny Play:  3,6  -  2,3  -  1,7  -  2,9

Wide Play: 2,3,6  -  2,3,5,10  -  1,3,7,8  -  2,3,4,9

Next Best Bet: R1 – 3. SMARTEDGE

Best Roughie: R4 – 6. SIR BARB

R1 – 1.05pm. Ascot Restaurant Handicap - 1200m.

SCRATCHED No3 SMARTEDGE (NEXT BEST BET) was brilliantly backed on debut from an opener of $8 all the way into $1.70 and was just touched off by what looks to be a smart horse from the Waller yard. Despite it being a provincial Saturday meeting, I think it is a good race to follow. He has drawn a perfect gate here and gets Kerrin on board and looks the one.

No1 BRAVE SONG comes out of a good race on debut behind Calculated. He really ran through the line there and gets Bowman now and should find the line again.

SCRATCHED No5 PHABENI has trialled well coming into the debut run here and should be in the finish somewhere.

SCRATCHED No10 SASSO CORBARO was somehow run down last start right on the line. She has been very good in both starts.

BRAVE SONGCanterbury Park AUS 04:05 - Winner

R2 – 1.40pm. All Too Hard @ Vinery Handicap -1100m.

SCRATCHED No6 GORESBRIDGE won his maiden brilliantly last start at Wyong like he should have. He looks the likely leader here and is a smart horse.

No1 EBENOS resumes here and has to carry a big weight, the trials have been good and he is a smart horse.

SCRATCHED No4 LAUNCH CODE is in on Tuesday and hasn’t notified where he is running yet, if he turns up here he is a chance.

SCRATCHED No3 KALVENA ran well against the older horses last start and should have the last shot at them here.

R3 – 2.20pm. ATC Member For A Day Handicap - 1250m.

No4 HAMMOON DREAM closed off well last start and gets a good jockey change here. Her record around the 1200-1300m range is brilliant.

No7 CHICQUITA gets a soft run from the gate here and has been in good form as of late.

No10 KLISSTRA gets in with no weight yet again here and gave some good cheek last start and could do the same again here.

No3 SHAHRAZARD gets Bowman here from gate 2 and he will put her to sleep here and have the last shot at them.

R4 – 2.55pm. Handicap - 1550m.

No6 SIR BARB (BEST ROUGHIE) has been killing them at Goulburn at the last two starts. Collett and Cunningham have figured him out and he is low flying.

No3 SPECIAL MISSILE comes back in distance a touch here, but he has been going brilliantly at winning his last two.

No2 IMANUI second-up from a spell looks well suited here given his second-up record, the claim for Adkins helps him and he is well placed in this field.

No5 QUICK DEFENCE has run through the line well in recent runs and is going to win a race like this soon enough.

R5 – 3.35pm. Bowermans Office Furniture Handicap - 1100m.

No2 INVIENNA has joined the Lees yard since the last preparation and has quite good form around her. The trial was brilliant and the first-up record is fantastic.

No3 MISSILE CODA has won both starts in good fashion, this is a step up for her but she looks to be a nice filly.

No5 TIP TOP wasn’t suited by how the track played last start and should be forgiven for that run. She is going well.

No10 SOMEBODY has been running good time in the country and looks the leader here and is in form.

R6 – 4.10pm. TAB Handicap - 1900m.

No7 CHATELARD comes here for the second start and won the debut well. The step up to 1900m looks to suit and the trial between runs was pleasing.

No1 BASTIA has been going well enough as of late and now steps up to 1900m which is much more suitable.

No8 KORODON got the job done well for us last start when winning the maiden. He gets a good run from the gate and will run out the 1900m no issues.

No3 SEBRARIAN just got run down late in the Grafton Guineas, he gets a good claim for King and should run them along in front here.

CHATELARD Canterbury Park AUS 07:10 - Winner

R7 – 4.45pm. Schweppes Handicap - 1250m.

No9 ONSLAUGHT (BEST BET) got too far back first-up and couldn’t make up the ground there. He was really well backed so we need to follow stable confidence. Second-up from a spell he is going to be much fitter and looks the winner.

No2 MANA was just touched off last start in Saturday grade. He is going to get a soft run from gate 1 and will be thereabouts.

No4 STATIC LIFT has trialled well coming into this and has quite good form around him and gets a soft run from barrier 4.

No3 EXITOZO has been trialing well coming into the fresh run here and is coming off a big win at the Scone carnival. He looks well-tuned up for a fresh run.
