Warwick Farm (Wednesday) Betting Preview & Tips

Betting tips for every race at Warwick Farm. Today’s best bet is in race 7

Tue, 22 Aug, 3:11 AM

Warwick Farm is the Wednesday racing location for Sydney. Bit hard to come down to this after what we saw last weekend by the mare Winx. Nice enough meeting here however with a few younger horses looking to head to the carnival. Rail is true and track is good.

QUADDIES (races 4-5-6-7)

Skinny Play:  1,2  -  3  -  9,12,14  -  9

Wide Play: 1,2,5,6  -  2,3,4  -  1,2,9,10,12,14  -  5,8,9

Next Best Bet: R7 – 9. AWOKE

Best Roughie: R4 – 6. MIXED BLOSSOM

R1 – 1.25pm. TAB Handicap - 1600m.

No3 PANDEMONIUM belted them when winning the maiden last start, up to 1600m no issue here and looks hard to beat again.

No1 SEVERENCE got the job done well enough in a maiden last start. But I think he had a thought about it there and I want to see him do it again.

No5 ST VADUZ was good behind Anchor Bid last start and should be respected with how close it got to that horse.

No4 AUGUSTUS comes out of what looks to be a good race last start, and now 1600m on a bigger track suits.

R2 – 2.00pm. Pluck @ Vinery Handicap - 2200m.

No5 QUEEN OF HEIGHTS got run down late last start and was quite good there. Bowman jumps on here and she looks hard to beat.

No7 PRESSCOTT comes to Sydney out of Saturday races in Melbourne and should be respected.

No3 READY FOR SUCCESS won well at Kembla last start and has a chance here.

No2 METEOROLOGIST has been going well enough as of late and should run well again.

R3 – 2.35pm. TAB Rewards Handicap - 1300m.

No3 CEDARWOOD looks to have been trialing well enough coming into a debut run here. Blinkers on adds to the confidence.

No1 DISSOLUTION comes out of two good races at the first two starts and has trialed well coming in.

No2 AL MAH HAHA was just beaten last start over 1100m, the step to 1300m suits perfectly.

No5 SMARTEDGE has been a well backed at the first two starts and has let punters down, he does look to be a nice horse.

R4 – 3.10pm. Schweppes Handicap - 1000m.

No1 REALISE POTENTIAL savaged the line first-up in a much better race than this. Second-up at home he looks very hard to beat.

No2 NICTOCK got the job done well last start, there looks to be a bit of pressure here, and Bowman will have to be at his best to get him home.

No5 FLORID has been going ok enough as of late and looks to get a good sit behind them on the map.

No6 MIXED BLOSSOM (BEST ROUGHIE) has a very good fresh record and loves the 1000m. She wasn’t too bad in the Camerena last start at Canberra.

R5 – 3.45pm. #THERACES Handicap - 1600m.

No3 FORTENSKY (BEST BET) didn’t get the best of rides from Shinn last start and was really softened up in the run and was only run down late there. The form has stood up quite well and Bowman jumping on from barrier 11 gets him that time to cruise across and dominate the race.

No4 SIR BARB has been doing a brilliant job this time in and should run well yet again.

No2 ARGENT D’OR comes out of better races than this and should run well on the home track.

No6 EERISED was ok enough fresh and should appreciate the step to 1600m here.

R6 – 4.20pm. Ascot Restaurant Handicap - 1200m.

No9 CHAPELCO resumes here and looks to have come back better. He created a massive impression when winning on debut, but then had a few issues. The trials have been good and I want to be on him.

No14 I AM SERIOUS joins the Waller yard after three dominant wins at country level. The trials have been good.

No12 RED IS THE ROSE comes up to Sydney to kick off the preparation. She wasn’t too far off I Am A Star last time in and that’s brilliant form for a Wednesday.

No2 PURE REBEL has won three of its last four in good fashion and has to be respected coming into this.

R7 – 4.55pm. TAB.com.au Handicap - 1400m.

No9 AWOKE (NEXT BEST BET) gets a great run of the race just behind them here. Avdulla probably took off a touch too early last start and that told on her late. She gets Bowman here and finds a weaker race, she wants to be a carnival horse she needs to win here.

No8 JEMADAR was solid enough first-up for the new stable, if money comes for him, follow it.

No5 TENORINO bolted up last start with what was a good win and I don’t see a reason as to why he cannot do it again.

No6 BOLERO KING has let the market down a touch as of late, but comes back in grade and should be respected.
