Newcastle on the Beaumont track is our Saturday provincial meeting in Sydney. We have eight races on the card, and can't complain about field sizes due to restrictions of the rail position which is +3m 800m to 400m, True remainder. Track is currently soft, but we may get to good come race day.

QUADDIES (races 5-6-7-8)

Skinny Play:  5,6  -  1,4  -  4  -  1,4

Wide Play: 2,5,6  -  1,3,4,5  -  4  - 1,2,4,7

BEST BET: R7 – 4. ANIMALIA

Next Best Bet: R4 – 2. REFLECTIVITY

Best Roughie: R1 – 4. ESEMPIO

R1 – 12:29pm CIVIL SYDNEY CLASS 1 & MAIDEN PLATE - 2200m.

No 4 ESEMPIO (BEST ROUGHIE) traveled 3-4 wide when winning well at Swan Hill, well weighted after the claim.

No 1 CELEBRIS won a weak race to break the maiden, but this is no stronger.

No 5 LEBRON looks the likely leader, but this is a step up from what he has been racing in.

No 7 VINDEX finished off well last start in a race that wasn’t run to suit and has a chance again.

VALUE RUNNER: No 4 ESEMPIO

R2 – 1:04pm MGA INSURANCE MAIDEN PLATE - 2000m.

No 5 SHES DEMANDING

No 1 SOCIAL ELEMENT

No 10 PERUN

No 2 DASHING SPECIAL

VALUE RUNNER: No 10 PERUN

R3 – 1:39pm GWH BUILD BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP - 1200m.

No 3 TIRONE MISS

No 5 FOSHAN

No 1 STRADANCE

No 4 THINK LIKE A BIRD

VALUE RUNNER: No 1 STRADANCE

R4 – 2:14pm LEAH JAY MAIDEN HANDICAP - 1250m.

No 2 REFLECTIVITY (NEXT BEST BET) looks to be well set up for a fresh kill here. His form is much better than all of these, he was well spiked as a 2yo and always seemed as if he would be a better 3yo type. His trial coming in was quite good and if he wants to head to better races, he needs to win this.

No 1 SRPINTING TO WIN has been going well enough as of late and looks to be the main danger.

No 5 STAR OF THE SEAS has been trialing up well enough for the debut run and gets blinkers on.

No 4 MARATHON looks to be next best here.

VALUE RUNNER: No 5 STAR OF THE SEAS

R5 – 2:49pm MINCO TECH AUSTRALIA MAIDEN PLATE - 1150m.

No 5 MISSION TYCOON has trialled brilliantly coming into the fresh run here and could run them into the ground.

No 6 ARGEMONE brings good form to this race and has been trialing up well for the fresh run.

No 2 OUR ROYAL EGYPTIAN has been letting punters down in both runs this time in, but looks a chance again.

No 8 WIAMEA BAY ran into a good one on debut, and although the margin was big, she was good enough.

VALUE RUNNER: No 5 MISSION TYCOON

R6 – 3:29pm HUNTER COATINGS MAIDEN HANDICAP - 1350m.

No 4 CONQUEST

No 1 STORM FORCE

No 5 EURO GOLD

No 3 DEVIOUS

VALUE RUNNER: No 5 EURO GOLD

R7 – 4:09pm ELK DESIGNS CG&E CLASS 2 HANDICAP - 1350m.

No 4 ANIMALIA (BEST BET) absolutely smashed them last start when breaking the maiden. She comes back in trip off a freshen but has had the trial since where he looked to go quite well. I think he is a cut above this lot and can win again.

No 1 STATIC LIFT has been good in both runs this time in and finds a nice enough race.

No 3 NO ESCAPE won well at Forbes on Cup day, this is a step up but there was some arrogance in the win.

No 5 WALTZING WILLIE has been going well enough and is a chance again.

VALUE RUNNER: No 3 NO ESCAPE

R8 – 4:49pm CUMI AUSTRALIA F&M CLASS 2 HANDICAP - 1350m.

No 1 KARAVALI

No 4 NAUGHTY THOUGHTS

No 2 CANBERRA

No 7 SMART AS

VALUE RUNNER: No 7 SMART AS
