This is a mammoth meeting at Cranbourne with ten races and big fields.
The false rail will be out to the three-metre position from the 1000m to the turn and at the true position until the winning post.
With the track predicted to be a Heavy 8 it is going to be awfully cut up by the time they get to the end of the day.
Punters will need to be observant and watch the jockeys as to the course they track for home.
There is no chance of any drying out of the track with a minimum of 5C and maximum of 11C.

No7 SHAMAR (BEST BET) she won with a heap of authority at her debut at Keyneton before being upgraded to Caulfield where she ran a most credible fifth in a strong race last campaign. No4 INVINCIBLE AMICI is raised in class but was an outstanding debut winner in a maiden.
No6 TARCOOLA SPIRIT is a winner at her only start and trialled well in preparation for this.
No3 SOUTHERN TURF showed a heap of speed to score her maiden win at Swan Hill. Respect.

No13 BANISH is a Godolphin-trained mare having her first start for new trainer James Cummings. She showed plenty of class last time in work notching a win and two placings at her three starts for John O’Shea. She gets ace jockey Craig Williams to ride from a bad draw in 16.
No7 MIALIGN is a New Zealand mare making her debut for the astute stable of Robert Smerdon. She has shown ability at home with a win and two placings at four starts and would expect her to handle the wet track here.
No9 QUIK NU CHIK will sport blinkers for the first time after her fifth over 1400m at Bendigo against her own sex on August 13. She was a good winner at her previous start over 1200m at Geelong and gets top jockey Regan Bayliss to ride.
No2 SIX PENNY has been sparkling on the synthetic track at Pakenham with a win and a second at her two starts this campaign over the sprint distances. She has top jockey Dwayne Dunn to ride and should go well on the wet track here.

No3 BALESTRAND was resuming from a long spell and having his first start for a new trainer when finishing ninth overt 1300m at Bendigo on August 13. Would expect further improvement with the Darren Weir polish here.
No1 I BOUGHT A HORSE (BEST ROUGHIE) with two starts now under his belt he looks ready to show. Latest he ran a solid fifth over 1300m at Geelong on August 11. He drops a half-kilo to 60kg and gets a new rider with Jamie Mott taking the reins.

No11 FIRE AGATE chased hard to run a good fourth over 1300m at Sandown on July 26. He has been kept fresh for this race and gets last season’s top city apprentice Beau Mertens to ride with a good weight drop of 4kg to 56kg.
VALUE RUNNER: No11 FIRE AGATE
