Ipswich (Wednesday) Betting Preview & Tips
Betting tips for every race at Ipswich. Today’s best bet is in race 3
Another day and another Ipswich meeting. As always the early pace of races here are the key factor but with the rail out 2m all runners should get their chances in relatively small fields. Again some rain is predicted but it shouldn't have an impact on the track.

R1 - 1.34pm. RACING @ IPSWICH - SATURDAY 23/09/17 C,G&E Benchmark 65 Handicap - 1000m.
No2 STELLARCRAFT Has been racing in much better company and good winner at Doomben two starts back and then no luck last time. He has plenty of weight but suited this small field.
No1 CAPTAIN LEO Another who has plenty of weight but has an apprentices claim and winner past two starts in provincial company. This is no harder.
No5 CAPTAIN TANGO Well beaten past two starts in harder races and does have some solid form in previous campaigns.
No4 ADERITO Latest run was a good second this track. Has had eight runs here for six minor placings. Enough said.
VALUE RUNNER: No5 CAPTAIN TANGO
R2 - 2.08pm. FREE FAMILY DAY - 23RD SEPTEMBER QTIS Three-Years-Old Class 3 Plate - 1666m.
No3 LADY LARK (NEXT BEST BET) Tough filly who never runs a bad race and second in city class races at her past two starts. Gets her chance to win here with a light weight.
No4 REAL PRINCESS Has also been racing well in Saturday city class and looks the only real danger here. She had no luck last start at Doomben and is well drawn here.
No1 FALCON WAY Was a strong Sunshine Coast winner last start and while this is tougher he has a chance in this small field.
No2 SURPRISE BULLET Recent form is solid in easier races but she should be fitter now.
VALUE RUNNER: No1 FALCON WAY
R3 - 2.43pm. TRENT SCOTT'S PLUMBING Class 2 Handicap - 1200m.
No2 CAPITAL CONNECTION (BEST BET) Very good winner at first start and then looked winner in straight at next two before getting relegated to second both times. But beaten by promising horses past two starts and looks too good for this field.
No3 AGHNA Former Victorian who has trialled very well for this first start this area. Has a good first-up record and drawn barrier one here.
No5 ST HILARY Very good run behind a top three-year-old last start when fourth at Doomben. Looks to have a good each-way hope again.
No1 LORD MARMADUKE Form has been solid enough and although not well off at the weights has some claims.
VALUE RUNNER: No5 ST HILARY
R4 - 3.18pm. LANDMARK LEADERS STAKES Maiden Handicap - 1350m.
No1 MARK MY WORD There is one word to describe why he is still a maiden - unlucky. Has been minor placed six times and no luck again first-up. Looks the main hope here.
No7 RED SURPRISE (BEST ROUGHIE) Beaten a long way at his first race start but is reportedly much better than that and will be better for the start. Respect at good odds here.
No2 MAXWELL Honest type who is another who has little luck in his races. Good second last start this track behind a promising horse.
No9 SHESEES EVERYTHING Has been second at past two starts in similar races to this. Has a nice barrier here and a definite chance this distance.
VALUE RUNNER: No7 RED SURPRISE
R5 - 3.53pm. TONY WILLIAMS MEMORIAL Maiden Plate - 1666m.
No1 DARING DEEDS Overdue for a win in this class with seconds past two starts. This distance looks ideal and not the strongest overall maiden.
No6 SHONECK AFFAIR Much better run last when third this class and looks ready to win although has had plenty of chances.
No5 MONTANA PINES Disappointed last start but didn't have much luck. This distance suits and previous form was good enough to win this.
SCRATCHED No10 FOXY MISS Has been placed past two starts at the Sunshine coast. This smaller track might suit and looks one of the better hopes.
VALUE RUNNER: No10 FOXY MISS
R6 - 4.28pm. DALGETY ANIMAL HEALTH STAKES Class 3 Handicap - 1350m.
No10 LET’S PARTY MARTY Trialled extremely well before led all the way to win a very strong Doomben Saturday class Three Year Old at first start. This is surprisingly strong midweek race but rates very highly.
SCRATCHED No1 MANIAS He is racing very well with two wins and a third behind an in form horse at his past three starts. Has a big weight here but still a top hope.
SCRATCHED No4 SAYS ME Has run home strongly for seconds at past two starts and this isn't much harder. Always an each-way hope.
SCRATCHED No6 COUNT CUMANI Has won his past two starts in easier races but like a good horse. This is tough but has to be a hope again.
VALUE RUNNER: No4 SAYS ME
R7 - 5.03pm. LOVELAND PROPRIETARY PRODUCTS Fillies & Mares Benchmark 65 Handicap - 1000m.
No1 SHE'S RIGHT She was racing very well before a spell with three wins and a minor placing. Has raced well fresh and has a 3 kegs claim.
No10 SAILOR GERRI Has run some good races in better class events. Did nothing in recent trial but usually goes well fresh.
No6 ICE FROST Has won twice this track and has won first-up. Resuming and trialled nicely recently.
No2 ONE IN ONE OUT has been around the place last few and on her day could win this.
VALUE RUNNER: No6 ICE FROST
R8 - 5.38pm. WIN FREE FOR A YEAR - 23 SEPTEMBER Class 2 Handicap - 1666m.
No2 DISTROYIA Strong win at the Sunshine Coast over 1600m last start and no reason why he can't win again here.
No1 SKY TEAM Has a good wrap on him and won well last start at Doomben. Up in grade and poorly drawn but strong hopes again.
No11 PROUDER Very well backed last start when ran third second in a row this track last start. Had every chance last time but overdue for a win.
No4 ROSADOR Doesn't win many but always an each-way hope and fitter for two minor placings since a break.
VALUE RUNNER: No11 PROUDER
