Wyong for Cup day this Friday, the card is also backed up by Mona Lisa Stakes for the fillies and mares. We have 8 races on the card here and the track has been playing well as of late. The rail is true and we should be on a good track.

QUADDIES (races 5-6-7-8)

Skinny Play: 10,11  -  1,2  -  1,2 -  7,8

Wide Play:  1,10,11  -  1,2,4,8  -  1,2,6  -  3,4,7,8

BEST BET: R6 – 1. SWEET REDEMPTION

Next Best Bet: R1 – 4. SILVERWIN

Best Roughie: R2 – 3. AFRICAN RAINBOW

R1 – 12.50pm. BIOCHEM WATER CG&E MAIDEN PLATE - 1200m.

No4 SILVERWIN (NEXT BEST BET) comes out of a very good race on debut behind Palladian and Missile Strike. The form out of that has held up ok enough. He has had close to a year off and has been gelded. The trials coming in have been outstanding and he is the one to beat.

No8 SHOWTIME has a bit of a boom on him, but needs to start winning races to live up to the hype.

SCRATCHED No7 FURORE has been trialing well ahead of the debut run.

SCRATCHED No1 EXPLOSIVE MISSILE was good enough on debut and should improve again.

VALUE RUNNER: No7 FURORE

R2 – 1.25pm. SENPOS F&M MAIDEN PLATE - 1200m.

No8 TORVILL showed the ability that I thought she has last start with a strong effort. She should be further improved and looks hard to beat.

No3 AFRICAN RAINBOW (BEST ROUGHIE) looks to be a very nice horse in the making and comes out of some nice races last prep. The trial was solid and she could finish over the top.

No7 MYSTIC EMPIRE draws a good gate here and should just sit in behind the speed after trying to lead last start.

SCRATCHED No2 LIGHTNING NIC gets a soft run on the map here and has trialed in good order coming into this.

VALUE RUNNER: No3 AFRICAN RAINBOW

R3 – 2.05pm. HUNTER PETROLEUM PRODUCTS DA VINCI - 3&4YO BENCHMARK 71 HANDICAP - 1300m.

No1 PRINCESS POSH resumed in what was a nice race at Canterbury and found the line well. The form out of that has held up.

No4 SCHUBERT comes out of some really nice races that have held up well and you need to respect that form line.

No5 FEIRIN jumped from a maiden win to Saturday level. Coming back to this is much more suitable.

No3 PINDARA looks next best in what is an intriguing little race.

VALUE RUNNER: No4 SCHUBERT

R4 – 2.40pm. BISHOP COLLINS ACCOUNTANTS BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP - 1600m.

No5 HIGH TRANQUILITY won the maiden in good style last start, there is a bit of a wrap on this horse and he looks to be progressive.

No3 TATOOSH comes out of a solid race last start behind Sir Barb at the midweeks. Up to the mile now suits and he has his chance.

SCRATCHED No6 DANTE ROSSETTI won well when breaking the maiden last start. From gate 4 I expect Hippo to roll forward and give them something to chase.

No1 CYRUS ROCKS was solid enough first-up and now stepping up in distance he will be finding the line.

VALUE RUNNER: No3 TATOOSH

R5 – 3.20pm. THE DOYLO SPRINGTIME - BENCHMARK 75 HANDICAP - 1100m.

No11 SISKEN has been trialing well coming into the fresh run here. Last prep she made some very good steps and draws a very good gate here to be hard to beat.

SCRATCHED No10 SIR MAGIC has been running fast time at the last few starts when winning. The step up in grade now looks ideal.

No1 GOLDEN SHOES won a midweek race in strong fashion last start but now rises 7kgs in weight. I respect the form, but 61.5kg is a worry.

No5 ANOTHER AAN is lightly raced and resumes here. His trial was quite good and he looks progressive.

VALUE RUNNER: No5 ANOTHER AAN

R6 – 3.55pm. WINNING COMMERCIAL MONA LISA STAKES - 1350m.

No1 SWEET REDEMPTION (BEST BET) won in super-fast time when resuming from a spell. She now comes up 50m in distance to a track which suits leaders. She is brilliantly weighted under the SWP conditions for a mare with her record and she should be winning.

No2 IMPOSING LASS found the line well first-up and will be closing hard late.

No8 LUBITON smashed them when resuming from a spell with a big weight, she should be improved for that and has a chance here.

No4 SHAZEE LEE resumed in ok enough fashion fresh and should be improved for that

VALUE RUNNER: No8 LUBITION

R7 – 4.35pm. 2017 CARLTON MID WYONG GOLD CUP - 2100m.

No2 DEE I CEE won in strong fashion last Saturday and I cannot see why he won’t hold the form now. He does go up 3kgs now, but he looks hard to beat here.

No1 DESTINY’S KISS meets Dee I Cee better at the weights here and gets the blinkers back on for this.

No6 SAYED comes back 300m in distance and drops 7kgs for that KMac is a winner on him in the past and he has a chance.

No4 PIRATE BEN belted them in the Taree Cup and should be respected here.

VALUE RUNNER: No6 SAYED

R8 – 5.10pm. HC GROUP CLASS 2 HANDICAP - 1200m.

No7 PIRACY won the maiden well in last start where the form has held up well. The trial since was quite good.

SCRATCHED No8 SEBRING EXPRESS drops well in the weights here and brings very good form to this.

No3 RAIDEN bolted in the maiden last start, he wasn’t asked to do a lot by Avdulla and killed them. The step up looks suitable.

No4 NEVER OUT has been going well enough as of late for a race like this.

VALUE RUNNER: No4 NEVER OUT

PIRACYWyong 08:10 - Winner
