Doomben (Saturday) Betting Preview & Tips
Betting tips for every race at Ipswich. Today’s best bet is in race 2
Back to Doomben after the track has had a two week break. It is playing well considering there has been little rain and a lot of work. Ordinary off season Saturday meeting but there appears to be some good chances at decent odds.

Best Roughie: R3 – 8. GORADA
R1 12.42pm. Strathmores Collections Ratings 0-70 Hcp - 1200m.
No4 IMPREGNABLE Was long odds on when beaten into third last start. But hit his head before the start in the barriers and raced like he needed 1200m. Go on previous good form.
No1 JETSONIC Rattled home last start when second in a harder race and well drawn here. Has plenty of weight but overdue to win a race like this.
No6 ALL AMUK Has won two of his past three starts at the Sunshine Coast. This is probably a bit harder but not much harder.
No13 PEKING ROAD Good last-start winner at the Sunshine Coast and usually about the place these type of races. Good barrier gives an each-way chance here.
VALUE RUNNER: No6 ALL AMUK
R2 - 1.17pm. Barambah Organics Dairy Open Hcp - 1200m.
No5 HAVASAY (BEST BET) Has won his past three starts in restricted class including two this track. He is still eligible for easier races but if he runs up to his recent times for 1200m will just about win this.
No4 MYSTIC OPAL A noted first-up performer having first start since June. She is so good on the fresh side has to be always a hope these races. She just needs some pace on early.
No3 DIVINE SERVICE Can be a bit on the troublesome side on occasions but on his day is very smart. Has won twice first up and should be on the pace for a long way here.
No2 SONY LEGEND Has had a lot of chances of late but did make up ground over 1100m at his last start. This small field suits and the 1200m is a help.
VALUE RUNNER: No2 SONY LEGEND
R3 - 1.52pm. Madison Cleaning Services Benchmark 75 - 2200m.
No2 STANLEY He has been very good in this type of race his past four starts with three wins and a second. Starting to get up in the weights but does have a 3kgs claim here and must be highly rated again.
No8 GORADA (BEST ROUGHIE) He was racing solidly at the provincials before finishing hard for third this track last start. Has the best of the weights here and should be fitter for last start effort. Has a chance at good odds.
No1 DEVIL HAWK Looked very good in winning this track two starts back and didn't have much luck when well beaten last time. Drawn to get a nice run here.
No9 LASCAR Looked to have every chance last start but run peaked near line when fourth this track and distance. Should be fitter for that run.
VALUE RUNNER: No8 GORADA
R4 - 2.32pm. UMS Schoolwear Benchmark 85 Hcp - 1350m.
No6 ORADONNA Classy mare who hasn't had a lot of luck of late. Should have finished much closer to an in form galloper last start when fourth this track. Has a strong hope here.
No4 ROSIE POSIE Stormed home to win well this track last start. Winner past two starts and after a 3kgs claim still gets in under the limit.
No3 KHALEESI Disappointed last start after getting well back early. Good winner previous start and this race suits nicely.
No1 PAYROLL Quality mare who raced against some good horses in the winter and went well. She has won twice first-up so respect.
VALUE RUNNER: No4 ROSIE POSIE
R5 - 3.07pm. Programmed Property Services Class 6 Plate - 1110m.
No2 GRACIDA Has been running very fast times for 1000m at the Sunshine Coast. Has to get 1100m here but this track should suit even better. Only worry is the barrier.
No12 PRIME TARGET Has had a few injuries in his career but two runs back from a spell have been very good. Should be a lot fitter now and rates highly from good barrier draw.
No5 MISHANI EL LOBO Recovered from a recent injury set back and has worked well of late. Handy form for a race like this and has a 3kgs claim and a good barrier.
No4 LE VAL Injury plagued galloper who once looked like being a stakes horse. Has won a couple of times first-up and at his best would beat these.
VALUE RUNNER: No12 PRIME TARGET
R6 - 3.42pm. DHL Express Class 3 Plate - 1615m.
No4 REAL STING Sunshine Coast winner two starts back and then no luck when third that track last start. The 1600m around this track should suit.
No11 PINOLINO Didn't run out the 2040m last start when third this track and previous form around the 1600m distances is very good.
No2 BROCSON No luck last start when backing up from a very close second this track and distance three days earlier. Deserves thought here.
No13 MISS ARABELLA Promising a strong winner last start after having no luck at her previous start. Still down in the weights and another suited at 1600m.
VALUE RUNNER: No13 MISS ARABELLA
R7 - 4.22pm. Kennedys Timber Open Hcp - 1615m.
No4 SHEISWHATSHEIS (NEXT BEST BET) Believe it or not didn't like the strong head wind when leading last start this track and distance and finished fourth. Her previous form this track is very good and she gets in extremely well at the weights due to an unusual set of circumstances. Looks very hard to beat provided the wind stays down!
No3 RULING FORCE Much better suited this distance at second run back from a spell here. Has raced well in stronger races and rates an each-way hope.
No2 CRAIGLEA DEKEN Prolific country winner who caught the eye when fast finishing third this track last start. Always has claims this type of race.
No11 YABBA DABL DOOYA Broke through for first open company win this track and distance two starts back. Gets in well at the weights after a 3kgs claim and should be respected.
VALUE RUNNER: No2 CRAIGLEA DEKEN
R8 - 5.02pm. QScan Radiology Clinics Three Year Old - 1350m.
No8 I AM IMPINGE No luck at all last start when third this track in a very strong race. This distance looks ideal and he just has to overcome the wide barrier.
No2 CELLARGIRL Bounced back from injury to score an impressive win here three weeks ago. Ran a very fast final sectional that day. This distance suits and does race well his track.
No1 MISHANI BULLITT Has plenty of weight here but is a top class galloper. Strong win first-up against older horses and he has the perfect draw here.
No5 SNITZ Has finally drawn a half decent barrier. Has been racing very well without any luck of late and looks one of the main chances.
VALUE RUNNER: No5 SNITZ
R9 - 5.42pm. St Margrets P and C Association Benchmark 75 - 1350m.
No6 RAJA AMPAT Has always shown ability and confirmed it with wins past two starts at the Sunshine Coast. Gets back in his races but can finish very fast.
No11 MANIAS Shows plenty of potential with wins two of his past three starts including two very good efforts this track. Looks a top chance at the weights.
No12 REVALDOR Track was probably too hard at the Gold Coast last week when fifth. Better this track and a bit of rain would help.
No7 BACKSLAPPER Rarely runs a bad race this track and when he won this here three starts he was much closer to the pace than of late. Watch for him to go forward.
VALUE RUNNER: No7 BACKSLAPPER
