Newcastle for their big day of the spring with the Cup, Cameron and Tibbie highlights of the meeting. Big pointer to the spring here. Weather this week has been nothing short of awesome in and around Sydney. Rail true and track good.

No2 TAHSIN gets blinkers on here and comes back well in grade after his last two efforts which have been poor. He gets onto a bigger track here and should improve.
No6 ANIMALIA was quite poor last start when getting rolled at $1.45 but back to 1600m and not a month between runs here help.
No5 MAKFI LASS has been running quite well in highway grade as of late without winning. Up to 1600m suits.
No1 STATIC LIFT comes out of the same race as Animalia last time and ran quite well. Bowman on from gate 1 is a big tick
VALUE RUNNER: No5 MAKFI LASS
No1 DER MEISTER won well over the distance last start. He drops in weight here and should be hard to beat again.
No2 PERPETUAL MOTION has won the last two in good fashion and looks ready for the step to 2300m here.
No6 BELLA GALEANO gets a soft run of it on the map here and should be fit enough now.
No3 BON EQUUS has been working towards this and has been going ok enough for a race like this.
VALUE RUNNER: No6 BELLA GALEANO
No5 DEXLUTHER (NEXT BEST BET) comes out of a very good race on debut where they ran quite good time for the day there. He strikes what is quite a weak race here and he should be able to take up the speed from the barrier and give them something to catch.
No6 RENEWAL on debut here has been trialing in good fashion and should run well.
No1 GOOD WEATHER comes out of that same race as Dexluther on debut and should be respected.
No3 SMOOTH WHISKEY has been trialing well enough.
VALUE RUNNER: No1 GOOD WEATHER
No8 LUCKY LOUIE brings legit group class form to this race and should go close here after good trials coming in.
No11 PULANG PULA has been doing quite a good job at the trials and should be respected on debut.
No12 SUMMER SOLSTICE has been trialing quite well which is unusual for a Waller runner to show so much, watch the betting.
No1 CITY OF LOVE (BEST ROUGHIE) is well bred and has trialled well coming into the debut run.
VALUE RUNNER: No1 CITY OF LOVE
No4 MEROVEE (BEST BET) comes out of a very good race at the last start where he savaged the line against the bias. Up to 1600m and the big track are ticks. Bowman jumps back on after not being able to make the weight last start. He looks to be future Group 1 winner and can set himself up here.
No1 ASTORIA resumed quite well in the Ming Dynasty, he hit the line well and 1600m suits.
No6 PRIMITIVO is an intriguing one here. He comes to this at his second start after running second to Smartedge on debut. Thompson knows his stayers well.
No8 WHISPERED SECRET was quite poor fresh. But gets out to 1600m where she is Group 1 placed and she should improve.
VALUE RUNNER: No6 PRIMITVO
No3 SPECTROSCOPE resumed well in a race which wasn’t run to suit him at all. Now to 1500m second-up, he needs to win this to stake his Epsom claim.
SCRATCHED No8 NO DOUBT isn’t well in at the weights here, but has been very good in both runs back and looks to be set for this.
No4 THE VIRGINIAN steps beyond 1400m for the first time, and although I am not too sure how he will go, he is in good form.
No1 SOUND PROPOSITION is low flying and comes off two very good wins in winter.
VALUE RUNNER: No8 NO DOUBT
No4 AUVRAY comes off a Randwick win where he ran right though the line and won in good fashion, now that he has found the way to win again, he could go on with it.
No1 DESTINY’S KISS will need another peach from Bowman here as he is giving them all weight, but won well last start.
No2 PACODALI has done a good job winning the last three but does need to step up and match it with the Sydney horses.
No3 SAYED has been going well enough and has form around the top two.
VALUE RUNNER: No4 AUVRAY
SCRATCHED No2 INVINCIBLE GEM was a touch poor second up after a big win fresh, but didn’t have the best of luck. At the home track from gate 8 she looks the one.
No5 IMPOSING LASS has been good in both runs this time in and up to the 1400m should suit here.
No7 LUBITON won in good style last start in the same race as Imposing Lass and should go close again.
No1 ZANBAGH hasn’t got any luck from the barrier (18) but gets Bowman to offset it.
VALUE RUNNER: No1 ZANBAGH
