Another day at the Sunshine Coast which continues to hold up fairly well for a very big workload. Again no rain in sight which means the track will again be good. As usual watch for horses which can get to the crown of the track quickly in the straight.

BEST BET: R3 – 4. GRACIDA
Next Best Bet: R5 – 2. SHINNECOCK
Best Roughie: R1 – 3. THE PINKERTON
No2 TAY SWIFT Lived up to her early promise with an easy Ipswich win last start. This isn't much harder.
No3 YES TONIGHT Strong Doomben winner two runs back and then no luck at all when fourth this track last month. Give another chance.
No1 ST HILARY Wants a wet track to do her best but has been just behind the placegetters in harder races of late. Some claims here.
No4 BEVEILE Has been racing consistently with minor placings this track her past two starts. Each-way again here.
VALUE RUNNER: No3 YES TONIGHT
No1 COLLEGIATE Has been most consistent without winning at shorter trips of late. From a stable which is noted for producing stayers so should be hard to beat.
No3 THE PINKERTON (BEST ROUGHIE) Will be good odds here as he has won only a maiden. But an eye catching effort last start at Doomben over this distance indicates this track will suit very well.
No2 ENDLESS DON Slogs away and has won just one of his 25 starts, but never that far away and at least he will stay.
No5 HESSIAN Another who has won just one race but he does stick on and has been placed this track.
VALUE RUNNER: No3 THE PINKERTON
No4 GRACIDA (BEST BET) Very fast horse who has broken 57 seconds when winning this track and distance and that would win just about anything. He has won his past three starts and should be far too good for these old hackers.
No6 CHARLIE CAT Former wild child who had a stint in Hong Kong and has had a couple of stable changes since being back in Australia. Has trialled okay for this.
No1 ROCKY KING Tough old sprinter who has seen better days. Has won 15 races at 1000m including six this track. Could bob up here but each-way looks best.
No5 KLAMMER Bush horse who is always competitive around country tracks. Gets in here with a light weight and has some knock out hope.
VALUE RUNNER: No1 ROCKY KING
No7 INVINCIBLE TYPE Trialled only fairly and ran much the same first-up when mid field in a maiden this track. But reportedly has worked well since and this is very weak.
No11 WOOLOOMAN SKY Form looks ordinary and last start a shocker. But there was some money for her in the betting ring and this is about as weak as maidens get.
No4 SHE'S FAST Has been minor placed six of 14 starts including last-start this track. This is so weak she might actually break through.
No6 ARAZONA Has not run a place in ten starts in NSW and Victoria. She is nicely bred and we did like her recent trial when third at Deagon. Keep very safe.
VALUE RUNNER: No6 ARAZONA
No2 SHINNECOCK (NEXT BEST BET) Former Victorian who trialled very well for debut this area when third this track and should have nearly won. This isn't strong and the 1400m around here suits.
No4 BOLD ASSASSIN Went all the way to Cairns for his first start at the northern carnival when second. Every chance there but fitter now.
No7 TIARNAN Has had a few chances but last start second at the Gold Coast was good for a race like this. Deserves respect.
No5 NICALATI Very well bred first starter who will probably want a middle distance. Didn't do much in a recent trial but fitter now.
VALUE RUNNER: No4 BOLD ASSASSIN
No5 SHE'S WORTHY Had strong form at this track when last in work. No official trial but has won first-up before. Looks a real player.
No7 HIDDEN ROSE Bobs up occasionally for a win mainly when there is plenty of pace early. Not a bad run when fourth at Ipswich last time.
No8 MISHANI SHIRAZ Form around the Toowoomba area has been very good of late. Just needs luck to overcome the tricky barrier.
No3 IRON GEORGE Former Victorian who was run down late at first start this area in Toowoomba. He has accepted for Ipswich on Saturday and will be chance no matter where he starts.
VALUE RUNNER: No7 HIDDEN ROSE
No12 SO INVINCIBLE Won two races at the provincial tracks and then didn't have a lot of luck in a strong three-year-old contest. Has a bit on these in class.
No3 LIKE A RULER Has shown good form at city midweeks on occasions. Two runs back from a spell have been solid and ready to race well now.
No10 AIRLIE REWARD Handy effort first-up and has won two of three starts this track and distance. Looks good value here.
No1 MISHANI PHOENIX Tough country galloper who has been in good form of late. This harder and has top weight but still has claims.
VALUE RUNNER: No10 AIRLIE BEACH
