No3 THE WILLYBE posted a slashing win over 2400m here on September 24. He carried 54.5kg that day and jumps to 57kg here. Victorian galloper who is thriving at this track and can handle the increase in weight and repeat the dose for rider Dom Tourneur.
No2 SLY ROMANCE returns to this track following a sortie at Moonee Valley where he ran a solid third over 2500m on October 6. He is on the quick back up but he gets red hot jockey Jamie Kah to partner and nobody is riding better than her in South Australia.
No5 DUQUESSA has faced rain-affected tracks and ploughed through the heavy going to win in style over 2000m and 2050m at Narroorte and Mt Gambier at his past two starts. Raised to city class here, but gets a big decrease in weight down to 54.4kg and gets senior rider Harry Coffey to partner.
No1 TUNES is a veteran campaigner who should be rock hard backing up from last Saturday where he ran a fair fourth over 1950m here. He gets the in-form apprentice Raquel Clarke and her 2kg claim lightens his impost to a more comfortable 57kg. Has each-way claims.
VALUE RUNNER: No1 TUNES
No3 EASY BEAST could not have been more impressive than when smashing his opposition by six lengths over 1000m in a maiden at Echuca on October 2. Was also smashed into a white hot $1.40 favourite and with Victorian apprentice Liam Riordan’s 3kg claim will carry a mere 56.5kg here.
No1 KID FLASH showed his rivals a pair of clean plates to hold on to a narrow win over 1050m here on September 30. Apprentice Raquel Clarke replaces the hot Jamie Kah but her 2kg claim does help with his load dropping it to a more comfortable 58kg. One of the main chances.
No6 SPARROWS has plenty of upside having his third start here. Notched an easy win over in an 1100m maiden at Gawler on October 2. Was well liked as a $2.30 and with Dylan Cabosche’s 2kg claim he will carry a mere 54kg. Phillip Stokes has added the blinkers to his gear too.
No7 BAD WOLF (BEST ROUGHIE) has been gelded and gets a cross-over noseband. Underlined he was ripe for a good first-up effort when finishing a closing third over 1000m here on September 28. At sole start ran ninth in the Magic Millions Classic here so connections must think he has ability.
VALUE RUNNER: No7 BAD WOLF
No10 PRINCE OF PAGODA has the formidable combination of trainer Tony McEvoy and jockey Jamie Kah who cleaned up here last Saturday. Stalked the leaders before finishing a good second over 1600m at Balaklava on September 13. Was backed from $12 into $8 and expect strong support here.
No8 SKULDUGGERY did have some excuses when finishing fifth over 1755m at Geelong on October 4. He was bumped into the rail and continued to battle on steadily enough. With Liam Riordan’s 3kg claim his weight is down to 53kg – which is a 7.5kg plummet on his last start. Chance on weights.
No1 CAPTAIN DUFFY was a big drifter in the betting before finishing third over 1600m here on September 30. Gets the 3kg claim of Victorian apprentice Chris Caserta to drop his impost down to 57kg and looms as one of the main chances. From gate six gets a soft run in transit.
No2 DANOULI may pay to draw a line through his last start when dropping out to finish 11th over 2046m at Benella on September 29. With Brandon Stockdale taking the ride his weight is reduced to 55.5kg here and he is ideally drawn in gate one. He did win here four starts ago.
VALUE RUNNER: No2 DANOULI
No8 GLAM GURU deserves a break and forgive her last start when as a $1.60 favourite she beat one runner home over 1600m here on September 30. She hails from a top stable and has top rider Clare Lindop to partner again. She will wear ear muffs here and is down 3kg to 55kg.

No10 PRINCESS TITANIC is having her first start for her new Adelaide trainer Lloyd Kennewell. The stable is racing very hot with a double at Gawler last Wednesday and good form in stakes races in Melbourne. She ran a solid third over 1600m at Seymour last Sunday and distance suits.
No4 TROPICAL LIGHTNING was at double figure odds before finishing a good third over 1600m here on September 30. Todd Pannell keeps the ride on the 3yo gelding, who was backed into an odds-on favourite to win first-up in the country two starts ago. Gets his chances here.
VALUE RUNNER: No4 TROPICAL LIGHTNING
No1 NODOUBTABOUTIT (NEXT BEST BET) Can again assert her authority after notching an explosive ¾ length win over 1000m here on September 16. She has been kept fresh for this and with Victorian apprentice Chris Caserta’s 3kg claim will carry a mere 57kg. She is drawn perfectly to dominate in gate three and has missed a place once at six starts here.
No13 INVISIBLE GIRL made an impression as one to follow after her luckless fourth over 1050m here on September 30.
No14 STRYKE A RANSOM has a solid first-up record and with the gear changes is one to watch.
No4 MILE HIGH has been in blistering form and chasing a hat-trick here.
VALUE RUNNER: No4 MILE HIGH
No8 GROOVIN’ has a few important gear changes with the winkers being replaced by blinkers and the barrier blanket going on. Did not have a lot of luck before running fourth over 1800m at Flemington on September 27. Gets her chance to win again here.
No9 SUPER CRUNCH has won at her past two starts on the provincial tracks. She showed her opposition plenty of tenacity to prevail over 1500m against her own sex at Gawler on October 2. She gets a big relief in weight plummeting down to 54kg from 59kg and Justin Potter rides again.
No4 HUSSYBAY smashed his rivals by over 3 lengths over 1200m here on September 30. Gets a 2kg penalty for the win rising to 57kg. Was a $2.50 favourite a fortnight ago. Red hot Jamie Kah keeps the ride and looks one of the main chances again.

VALUE RUNNER: No5 WASABI BOB
No8 DESERT LASHES (BEST BET) Has an outstanding record of eight wins from his nine starts and lost no friends when he suffered his inaugural defeat over 1100m here on September 30. Suggest punters stick to this daughter of Reward For Effort at her second consecutive assault at a Stakes race here. Shane Cahill is the new rider replacing Todd Pannell.
No3 LORD ASPEN put in a disappointing run in the Balaclava Cup last month. Has been freshened.
No1 CASINO WIZARD will be fresh for this 1200m scamper coming off a six-week break.

VALUE RUNNER: No2 MIO DIO
No8 TRUPT looks like he can stretch his successful come back here after smashing his opposition by ¾ of a length over 1200m here on September 30. He has copped a 2.5kg penalty for the win but is still in well on weights on 56.5kg and gets the enthusiastic Jamie Kah to partner again.
No7 NICOISE had a nice run throughout when he claimed a narrow win over 1203m at Strathalbyn on February 22. Returns from a 33-week spell with no trials, but does get 2kg Melbourne apprentice Brandon Stockdale to ride. Stockdale’s claim drops his weight to a mere 54.5kg
No4 MANUEL enjoyed his time on the synthetic scoring a brilliant win over 1200m at Geelong on September 8. He was a hot $2.15 favourite that day and the stable of Tony McEvoy is on fire here so would expect a bold effort with John Allen to ride on 58.5kg.
No12 SENOR GAUDI was mowing down the opposition to post a strong maiden win over 1100m here back in May. That was his sole start and he hails from the hot stable of young trainer Lloyd Kennewell. From a good draw in three and with Joe Bowditch to partner keep very safe.
VALUE RUNNER: No7 NICOISE
