Best Roughie: R7 – 2. BIG MEMORY

R1 – 12.30pm. Winning Edge Presentations Maiden – 1100m.

No1 CITY OF PEARLS ran a good third at Bendigo at penultimate start before going to the paddock for a long spell. Gets experienced jockey Ryan Maloney to ride here and strike a very moderate lot of maidens.

No5 DIMOSHOT gets a gear change with blinkers going on the off-side and a noseroll going on for the first time. Improved in the straight to run fifth in a 1204m maiden at Donald on August 26. That was a fair enough run and Jake Bayliss stays on top.

SCRATCHED No8 TAPESTRY RED get a big drop in class here on her debut when she ran sixth to Tulip over 1000m at Moonee Valley on December 31. Returning here from a long spell but has had two trials over 900m and 800m at Cranbourne.

No2 ANCHOR WOMAN struck a bog track here when finishing fifth over 1017m in a maiden on September 25. She has been freshened up for this and with Chelsea Hall’s 1.5kg claim carries 55kg and jumps from one.

VALUE RUNNER: No2 ANCHOR WOMAN

R2 – 1.05pm. TRFM Nothing But Hits 3YO Maiden – 1200m.

SCRATCHED No6 MR MONACO came in for strong support at debut and ran well to finish second in a 1212m maiden at Kyneton last start. He was backed from $2.90 into $2.25 favouritism and with a superior barrier draw in three rates highly.

No2 FLASH CASH should relish the drop in class here after his last-start fourth over 1200m at Caulfield back on July 15. He was placed second at his prior two starts in the country. He gets top jockey Luke Currie to partner.

SCRATCHED No10 VIBRATO had a hard run when finishing second over 1100m in a maiden at Hamilton on October 6. He was $2.80 favourite but was trapped three deep and was working. From gate 10 he needs to cross here.

No5 MOONLIGHT’S REWARD has speed and can race up on the pace. Showed plenty of courage to fight before finishing fifth over 1200m in a maiden at Bairnsdale on October 8. Has the experienced Noel Callow to ride.

VALUE RUNNER: No5 MOONLIGHT’S REWARD

R3 – 1.40pm. LV Express Maiden – 1600m.

No2 BLUE BEAR likes to race up on the speed and will be there. He should find this softer than his eighth over 1400m in a maiden at Ballarat on October 5. He is drawn well in gate four and gets new rider Jake Noonan.

No13 ALLOYE is a 3yo colt way down on class on his last start 11th over 1800m at Flemington on September 27. His previous form in this class was rock solid and with Luke Currie to ride is worth taking note of here.

No12 SAGACIOUS SAVANT is a 4yo mare who has only had two starts. She faces easier opposition here on her last-start eighth over 1500m at Mornington on October 10. She does face a quick back up but is solid enough.

No14 XIANG YU is a lovely bred 3yo colt who has yet to be placed at three starts. He gets his chance here after a plugging 11th over 1406m at Benella on September 29. He is from a top stable and this is weak.

VALUE RUNNER: No13 ALLOYE

R4 – 2.15pm. Viatek BM70 Handicap – 2050m

No4 CITRUS WISH raced away to a 2.5 length win over 1755m at Geelong on October 4. She gets senior rider Jake Bayliss to ride here and she goes up only a kilo to 56.5kg for her excellent win. Strong chance again.

No1 CRAFTY DEVIL with Ethan Brown’s 1.5kg claim he will carry 57kg. She carried 58.5kg last time when finishing a good sixth over 2000m at Ballarat on October 12. She is on the quick back up but from gate three gets a soft run.

No2 ANOTHER BULLSEYE has been right on the money at her past five starts. Latest he ran a strong second over 1800m at Flemington on September 27. She gets the hot jockey Damian Lane to ride from her draw on the rail.

SCRATCHED No3 MALMAS is having his first start at this track following a tenacious win over 1606m at Benella on September 29. Hails from the top stable of Chris Waller and he drops a kilo to 57kg with Chris Symons to again ride.

VALUE RUNNER: No3 MALMAS

R5 – 2.50pm. Moe Optical BM64 Handicap – 1000m.

No7 ANSINNA has won or been placed at five of past seven starts. Latest he lost a dog fight against Seven Year Reward over 1000m at Bairnsdale on October 8. He narrowly went down that day and gets Nikita Beriman back on top.

No5 A STERLING DASH underlined she was ripe for a big splash first up with a clever win over 800m in a trial at Cranbourne on October 9. She has been placed second twice at her three starts when fresh and drawn three can use her barrier to advantage.

No12 MARIA ELISA was outsprinted in the closing stages when finishing a fighting second over 1000m at Mornington on October 10. She was well liked in the betting backed into $5 and she gets her chance here from gate five.

No6 DUNGENESS came in for strong support when backed into a $2.20 favourite before finishing a close fourth over 1000m at Moonee Valley on October 6. She gets top jockey Luke Currie to ride here and goes well second-up.

VALUE RUNNER: No12 MARIA ELISA

R6 – 3.25pm. TAC BM78 Handicap – 1600m.

No7 RIB EYE loves this distance and scored a very smart win over 1200m at Geelong two starts ago. Latest ran a solid fifth over 1340m at the same track on October 4. Drops 4kg to 56.5kg and gets Noel Callow.

No3 TRIBAL WISDOM ran a good third over 1400m at Caulfield on October 1. That was against a good class of sprinter and he finished right in the thick of the pack. He should race on the speed and can be a contender again.

No9 LAUGHING HEIR has finished inside the money at all of his past four starts. Latest he was backed into a $2.80 favourite when running away to a comfortable win over 1540m at Geelong on October 4. Ace rider Damian Lane steers.

No5 REZAK ran a good fourth over 1630m at Flemington on September 27. He was at the odds of $16 that day after opening at $21. He is again at double figure odds at $12 here.

VALUE RUNNER: No5 REZAK

R7 – 4.00pm. Nextra Moe Cup – 2050m.

No3 PACODALI (BEST BET) has won at three of his four starts over this journey. He started a $2.35 favourite before finishing eighth in the Newcastle Cup (2300m) on September 15. He is from the stables of ace trainer Darren Weir and has Damian Lane here to partner. Claimed a hat-trick of wins prior to going to Newcastle and looks a strong bet.

No4 COUNT DA VINCI is a Tasmanian stayer who can roll forward and be prominent.

No1 ARTICUS ran well at Morphettville last time and stablemate to Pacodali.

No2 BIG MEMORY (BEST ROUIGHIE) is a veteran stayer who showed enough last time to suggest here.

VALUE RUNNER: No2 BIG MEMORY

R8 – 4.35pm. Forever Classic 3GG BM64 Handicap – 1600m.

No6 MAGELLAN had to combat a few obstacles before running a solid fourth over 1400m at Ballarat on October 5. He was backed that day from $4 into $3.60. He gets a new rider here with Jordan Childs taking the reins and is on the same weight 58kg.

No10 ELEGANTLY WASTED got squeezed late when finishing a close fifth over 1500m at Mornington on October 10. Was backed from $5.50 into $4.80 so had support and top jockey Linda Meech stays at the helm.

No5 WINKLEMANN gets top jockey Damian Lane to ride at his debut at this track. Latest he ran a solid eighth after being held up over 1606m at Benella on September 29. He was well supported from $12 into $8.50 that day.

No4 HAZARD AHEAD had to dig very deep to post a narrow win in a busy finish over 1600m at Bairnsdale on October 8. That was a brave effort and his form at the inner provincials, have been solid without winning.

VALUE RUNNER: No4 HAZARD AHEAD

R9 – 5.10pm. StrathAyr Sprint BM78 Handicap – 1200m

No6 DEMOLITION (NEXT BEST BET) won impressively at Geelong two starts ago before finishing a strong third over 1200m at Mornington on September 13. Has a great fresh record and Godolphin trainer James Cummings has booked ace jockey Damian Lane to ride the 4yo gelding at his debut at this track. He also loves the distance with two wins and two placings at five starts.

No7 BARTHELONA has proven most competitive and sure to be a force again.

No13 SMOKIN’ BELLA has won at two of last five starts and expect her to be prominent here.

SCRATCHED No1 PROUD WOLF with Mitchell Aitken’s 1.5kg claim carries 58.5kg.  Can figure on that weight.

VALUE RUNNER: No1 PROUD WOLF
