No1 BLUE BEAR finished on strongly to snatch second in a 1500m maiden at Moe on October 19. Jockey Jake Noon keeps the ride and has drawn fairly in gate eight. He is now fully wound up and expect another strong finishing burst from this 5 yo gelding here.
No3 RAID THE CABINET Has been placed at two of his three starts and will sport blinkers for the first time. He ran a strong second over 1400m maiden at Echuca on October 27. He is on the quick back up here and from barrier six should get a nice run in transit.
No4 RIVER REWARD settled midfield and was caught four deep before finishing on well to run fourth over 1400m maiden at Cranbourne on October 15. That was his first start back from a spell and with Noel Callow to ride again and drawn in six should be prominent.
No12 THE QUEEN’S WALK will sport blinkers for the first time. She has been placed twice at her five starts. Latest was held up on the rail before finishing 13th over 1300m maiden at Warrnambool on October 20. Was the $2.70 favourite and can make amends.

No4 RED IS THE ROSE makes strong appeal on recent two starts. Latest she ran a good second to the smart Fox Hall over 1400m at Cranbourne on October 15. Brandon Stockdale’s 2kg claim helps with the weight dropping her down to 55.5kg and drawn okay in eight.
No5 WITH A BIT OF DASH had a hard run when caught deep throughout and finished seventh over 1300m at Morphettville on October 21. Top Adelaide jockey Jamie Kah replaces a claiming apprentice here and is capable of improvement. Pay to respect.
No3 MRS GARDENIA won against her own sex two starts ago at Mornington before finishing a close second over 1400m at Cranbourne on October 15. With leading apprentice Ben Allen’s 1.5kg claim her weight is down to 56kg. She will have her admirers.
No2 NIMINYPIMINY was trapped on the rail and held up at the 200m before finishing third over 1600m at Cranbourne on October 15. She drops a kilo to 59kg here against her own sex and she is drawn perfectly in gate three to get a nice run in transit. Has appeal.
VALUE RUNNER: No5 WITH A BIT OF DASH
No1 EBEDIYIN deserves to be a $2.50 favourite on his strong third over 1600m here on October 6. He gets the 3kg allowance of apprentice Ethan Brown to reduce his impost to a more comfortable 57.5kg. Hails from the top stable of trainer Darren Weir and can go better.
No9 JOLIE’S CAFE was trapped four deep before chasing hard to run a good second over 1600m at Seymour on October 22. He gets the 3kg claim of apprentice Chris Caserta to reduce his weight down to a mere 52kg. He will wear visors for the first time. Has been consistent.
No8 GUIZOT is an Irish bred gelding who ran a good second over 1300m at Warrnambool on October 20. He gets a change of rider with Jordan Childs taking the reins and he has a good record over this distance of five starts for a win and two thirds. Makes appeal.
No3 MR GUSTAVO former WA apprentice Jordan Turner’s 1.5kg claim drops his weight down to 57.5kg here. He had to dig deep to post a narrow win over 1500m at Bendigo on October 21. He carried 61.5kg that day and he drops 3kg here on that win. Must respect.

No8 BEACH LIFE was given a freshen up of three weeks before finishing a good second over 1700m at Geelong on October 25. He was the $4.60 favourite that day and Michael Dee replaces Mark Zahra here. The drop of 4kg down to 55.5kg is a big help to his chances.
No4 CRAFTY DEVIL had to dig deep to claw his way to a narrow win in a busy finish over 2050m at Moe on October 19. Trainer Darren Weir has booked top jockey John Allen to ride on 56.5kg. He replaces an apprentice and his weight is a half-kilo less than he carried last time out.
No5 CREDITON finished on steadily enough to run sixth over 1600m at Bendigo on October 11. With leading apprentice Ben Thompson’s 1.5kg claim he will carry only 54.5kg and is drawn perfectly in barrier six. He won at this track over 2500m three starts ago. Looms with claims.
No9 GET THE PICTURE (BEST ROUGHIE) gets the experienced Luke Nolen replacing a 3kg apprentice after he finished seventh over 1600m at Cranbourne on October 15. He is down a half-kilo here to 55.5kg and has drawn ideally in gate three. Has an excellent record at this course.

No7 WAIT FOR NO ONE (NEXT BEST BET) will sport blinkers and a tongue-tie for the first time. He ran a good fourth over 955m here last start on October 6. That was the colt’s first appearance here and with Ben Allen’s 1.5kg allowance will carry 57kg. He should get a nice seat on the lead and expect him to finish off strongly for the leading stable of Team Hayes.
No10 GWENNETH scored a good win against her own sex over 1000m here last start. Has appeal.
No2 ROYALIC winner at Geelong and placed three times this prep. The 3kg claim drops his weight to 57.5kg.
No11 GROGAN’S ANVIL showed plenty of fight to finish second over 1112m at Kyneton last start.

No9 MY UNICORN will wear a tongue-tie for the first time here. She returns to Melbourne after a stint in Adelaide where she ran a good second against 3yo over 1100m at Morphettville on October 14. She gets the experience Ben Melham to ride at her debut at this track. Keep safe here.
No3 MASTERING is a 3yo colt who has shown food form at three starts for a win and a second. Latest took the lead but was headed when running second Reata over 1200m at Pakenham on October 20. He won his maiden at his debut over 1017m at Moe on September 25. Must respect.
No2 GRANDIOSO has won twice at six starts. Latest he was caught four deep and finish off well enough when running fourth over 1100m at Bendigo on October 11. He gets Ben Thompson’s 1.5kg claim to reduce his impost down to 57.5kg and is well drawn in gate three. Rates highly.

No1 SHERLOCK HOLMES (BEST BET) finished on strongly to run a good fourth to Violate over 2000m at Caulfield last start on October 18. That was in a higher grade and he goes up 4kg to 60.5kg here for this drop in class. Group 1 winning jockey Michael Dee rides again and he is stretched out to a suitable distance here over 2500m. The stable is running hot with its imports.
No6 GOLDEN FLAG has been as consistent as clockwork and looms as the obvious danger.
No10 ALMALITA led for an all-the-way win over 1900m at Kilmore last start. Makes appeal.
No4 ASCOT RED won two starts ago and kept chasing hard over 2400m at Geelong last start.

No2 CRYSTAL FOUNTAIN has been ultra-consistent and races against her own sex here. She posted four straight wins before finishing a solid third over 1200m in the listed Rosemont Stakes at Geelong on October 25. The barrier is gate 12 is a drawback but looks to be a top chance.
No4 MODERN WONDER has an excellent record of two starts for a win and a second at this track. She was off the track before finishing a sound eighth in the Alinghi Stakes (1100m) at Caulfield at her last start on October 21. Ben Thompson’s 1.5kg claim drops her weight down to 58kg.
No5 MOTOWN LIL was doing her best work on the line when finishing a close ninth to Deja Blue in the listed Rosemont Stakes (1200m) at Geelong on October 25. With apprentice Ethan Brown’s 3kg claim her weight drops to a comfortable 56.5kg here. She has an excellent draw in gate three.
No11 FASTBROOK she returns home from a stint at Morphettville where she ran a fair sixth over 1200m on October 21. She won over 1170m at Wangaratta three starts ago and gets top jockey Michael Walker to ride from gate two here. She loves this distance and this is her first start at this track.
