The track was rated at a Soft 5 and with showers forecast it could deteriorate – if they come? So watch the track conditions on the day. The False Rail is at the two metre position.

No1 ADMIRAL MICHELLE has finished inside the money at two of her three starts. She strikes her own age and sex here after running a solid second over 1000m maiden here on October 10 first-up from a spell. Makes good appeal.
No8 LEILA’S STAR showed promise at her return from a spell with a good second over 1200m maiden at Warrnambool on October 20. She has drawn a shade wide here in 12 but she is bound to strip fitter for the outing.
No9 LUCKY REWARD showed good speed at her debut to lead before running third to the smart Rasberry Rose in a 1000m maiden at Pakenham on October 14. She is by leading Victorian sire Reward For Effort and can improve further.
No4 AMASTRYKER has been placed three times at her four starts. She looms as a chance here on her good second over 1200m fillies' maiden at Pakenham on October 20. She has yet to miss a place at two starts this campaign.
VALUE RUNNER: No8 LEILA’S STAR
No9 BIG DAY was stepped up to the middle distance for the first time and ran home strongly to snatch fifth over 2000m maiden at Donald on October 13. Has experienced rider Jamie Mott taking over the reins and this is not strong.
No8 BEACHWOOD hails from one of Victoria’s hottest stables and must rank highly his close second over 2000m maiden here on October 22. The co-trainers have put apprentice Zac Spain back on top and can threaten from good draw (6).
No6 MANDLAKAZI is a son of Helenus and if there is any dampness he will grow a leg. He is now rock hard after a closing third in a busy finish over 2200m maiden at Sale on October 29. The seven day back-up should not worry.
No2 CASH SAIL showed good speed to lead his rivals before finishing a handy fifth over 2000m maiden at Warrnambool on October 20. That was his first start over a middle distance and with experienced Noel Callow to ride is worth thought.
VALUE RUNNER: No6 MANALAKAZI
No2 CHARCOL has a perfect record at this track with one start for one win. Will find this easier than last start 10th over 2025m at Cranbourne on October 15. The blinkers come off and the winkers go back on again. Jamie Mott is riding well.
No9 EASY DRAMA Faded to finish 13 lengths off the winner last start at Bendigo but takes a 4kg claim. Big drop in weight and among the main chances.
No11 DEEP PURPLE is rock solid for this after a steady performance to run fourth over 2400m at Bendigo on October 21. The experienced Noel Callow is the new rider. She is drawn perfectly in one to get a soft run.
No6 MISS DANNI was challenged for the lead and surrendered to run second over 2400m at Bendigo on October 21. Though the winner was too strong she never chucked in the towel and with Jack Martin’s 1.5kg claim carries 56.5kg.
VALUE RUNNER: No6 MISS DANNI
No13 DON’T BLUSH BABY was most impressed by her debut when in a busy finish ran a close second over 1000m maiden at Pakenham on October 14. She has drawn perfectly in gate two to go one better and is a big threat.
No6 REDCORE is resuming here from a four-week break. He showed he was on the mark with a smart win in a 990m trial at Cranbourne on October 29. Has been fancied in the past and don’t expect any great odds despite barrier 12.
No9 LEELAVADEE is a 5yo mare who made a good debut when finishing a sound second over 1000m maiden here on October 20. Was not fancied at $21 but won’t be at those odds here and fairly drawn in eight.
No1 CITY OF PEARLS has the lugging bit going on following her third when laying in over 1100m maiden at Moe on October 19. She drew well that day but has drawn the outside here in gate 13. Each-way.
VALUE RUNNER: No9 LEELAVADEE
No6 YOU’VE BEEN HAD (NEXT BEST BET) was super impressive at debut when he smashed his rivals by 6 lengths in a 1000m maiden here on October 22. He was plunged from $16 into $9.50 so the stable was aware of his ability. He goes up a 1.5kg to 60kg but the weight should not be too much of an issue. Has the speed to cross from gate nine.
No12 MARIA ELISA has plenty of raw speed and should be commanding in front.
No10 THE CENTAURIAN likely to utilize his draw in one and race on the speed.
No2 COOL COOL WORLD likes to race just off the speed and enjoys the sting out of the track.
VALUE RUNNER: No2 COOL COOL WORLD
No7 ALSIMON (BEST ROUGHIE) scored a fighting win at Echuca two starts ago before running a strong fifth 1203m at Yarra Valley on October 28. She stays on the same weight on 55kg and looks to be a strong chance from gate three.
No6 POP QUEEN will wear a tongue-tie for the first time. She fought on steadily when running sixth over 1450m against her own sex at Kilmore on October 24. She drops a massive 4kg here and makes appeal.
No2 PHARRELL has finished in the money at three of his past five starts. Latest he was resuming off a three-week break when running sixth over 1400m at Pakenham on October 20. He gets a nice drop in class here and would respect.
No1 DRY BISCUIT has been freshened since his uncharacteristic last of eight over 2500m at Moonee Valley on October 6. He has proven a consistent performer over time and he does like this track. The drop in class and distance helps.
VALUE RUNNER: No7 ALSIMON
No5 LAUGHING HEIR (BEST BET) looks a strong chance here on his recent efforts. Latest he ran a strong third in the Country Cup (1600m) at Moonee Valley on October 27. He had to work hard that night when he was trapped four deep and kept on fighting to the wire. Daniel Stackhouse rides again and he drops a kilo down to 54kg.
No1 REFULGENT solid effort to run midfield in the Country Cup and is a danger.
No3 MR GUSTAVO gets a big drop of 7.5kg in weight on his last win. Bound to aid.
No4 ESCHIELE plummets a massive 5kg here to the limit on 54kg and ranks as a chance.
VALUE RUNNER: No4 ESCHIELE
No6 MOONLOVER showed plenty of courage to fight right to the line going down by the narrowest margin over 1000m here on October 22. She drops significantly in weight with Ethan Brown’s 1.5kg reducing her impost to 58kg.
No4 DIVINE DICE liked his run when he finished off well to run second over 1200m at Pakenham on October 20. He was at double figure odds that day and no luxury odds here today jumping from an inside alley in four.
No8 SEE ME FLY came flashing down the outside to run a strong fourth over 1200m at Pakenham on October 20. Has the same barrier in nine today and Jamie Mott keeps the ride. He won fresh at this track and expect a bold effort.
No1 BOB OF THE HEAD ran a cracking second here first up over 1000m on September 30. He then only battled over 1200m at Moe on October 19 finishing midfield. The 3kg claim will reduce his impost to a comfortable 58.5kg.
VALUE RUNNER: No8 SEE ME FLY
