He was at $1.40 when racing on the synthetic at Geelong finishing 3 length second over 1000m at her last start in June. Has been placed second and third at her two starts fresh. Live chance.
No3 SERGEANT SAM has had a nice freshen up with five weeks since his last start. Will be racing for new trainer Bedggood today and is capable of battling out the first four placings on his last start sixth over 1200m at Ballarat on October 12. He has the speed to box seat or lead so will be thereabouts.
No8 PRETTY EYES was backed into $2.50 before easing to $3.30 at her debut when she ran a solid fourth in a 1000m maiden at Echuca on October 27. She had to work hard from three deep to hit the front and peaked. She is strip far fitter for the outing and gets a nice run from gate four.
VALUE RUNNER: No8 PRETTY EYES

No6 GREYWOLF broke his maiden status before going for a spell. Showed he was going to pick up from where he left off with a smart third over 1212m at Kilmore on November 5. He should be improved for the outing and can handle the extra 2kg to 60kg here in a mild field.
No1 NANGAWOOKA is a European import resuming from a 19-week spell here. Has a solid first-up record of two thirds at two starts. He has drawn perfectly in gate four and Brian Higgins keeps the ride on the five-year-old. He is worth keeping in mind.
