Fri, 17 Nov, 12:00 AM

Newcastle for Sunday provincial meeting in NSW, as Christmas approaches we seem to have a fair few of these meetings in NSW. Eight good races on the card with some big fields which is good for punters. If Impavido goes around he may well be the get out of the weekend here. Track good. Rail +5m 1600m-400m; +2.5m Remainder.

QUADDIES (races 5-6-7-8)

Skinny Play: 4  -  11,13  -  1,2,5  -  6,7

Wide Play:  1,2,4,7  -  8,11,13  -  1,2,5,8  -  6,7,9,10

Next Best Bet: R5 – 4. IMPAVIDO

Best Roughie: R3 – 8. BONITA

R1 – 1.20pm XXXX Gold Metro & Prov Maiden Plate - 1400m.

No5 HIGH POINT comes out of two good races at his first two starts and gets Shinn on board here which suits and should be winning this.

No8 BIRDSONG has been a complete nuisance for punters and didn’t give much of a yelp fresh. She should improve off that.

No2 OXFORD GEM has been going quite well in both runs coming into this and should run well again.

No6 SUKI MOOCHI looks next best here in a race which drops away quickly.

R2 – 1.55pm. Coca Cola Maiden Handicap - 1600m.

No3 CORINTH gets a good jockey change here with Shinn jumping on board here. The 1600m suits also.

No4 STROME comes out of a good race last start on Cup day and ran quite well there. Back to the mile suits.

No8 JUST BUTE has been very good at the last three runs and gets in well at the weights after the claim.

No2 KOREAN is brilliantly well bred, and should improve at the second start and up to the mile.

R3 –2.30pm. Newcastle Equine Centre Benchmark 71 Handicap - 900m.

No3 LARLABROOK should be much better suited back to the 900m here and he will sit just behind the leaders from gate 1.

No5 ALL CARISMA has trialled well coming into the first-up run here and has solid form.

No8 BONITA (BEST ROUGHIE) is a very fast mare, who looks the leader here and with only 52.5kgs on her back she should try to run them into the ground.

No2 GRAMMAR SCHOOL back on the home track down in grade should run well.

R4 – 3.05pm. IGA Liquor Maiden Handicap - 900m.

No4 OLIFANTS (BEST BET) comes out of some very good races in the first preparation in Melbourne. Form around Andaz is quite strong. The second of the two trials coming into the fresh run here was fantastic and the addition of the blinkers only make her a better bet.

No1 KANDOS TIGER has been trialing in good style coming into the debut run.

No6 KEEVA is very well bred and has had a lot of trials coming in, and should run well here.

No10 HILFIGER looks next best here and should run well at the home track.

R5 – 3.45pm. Tyrell's Wines Class 1 & Maiden Plate - 1850m.

No4 IMPAVIDO (NEXT BEST BET) if he turns up here should just be winning this race. He has been going very close in some good Saturday races as of late, and I do hope that Bjorn turns up here and gives him that soft kill that he needs to gain some confidence. That Shinn is booked makes me think he is running.

No1 CHIEF KIDDER comes out of a good race last week at Hawkesbury and has been going quite well.

No2 FANTASTIC MAN will roll to the front here with Hyeronimus on board and has been going quite well, the winkers on will help settle him.

No7 AURORA ROSE will be up on speed also, and looks to be next best here.

R6 – 4.20pm. Hammersley Australia Maiden Plate - 1200m.

No11 MEDOVINA was just touched off on debut at the short price. She just knocked up late fresh over 1200m and should be fitter for that.

No13 OLEKSANDRA comes out of some good races at the first two starts, and with Shinn on board here should run well.

No8 HEAT HAZE was quite good on debut in what looks to be a good race and should run well again.

No5 BIG CALL gets a super soft run of it here and has been trialing well coming into this.

R7 – 5pm. Komatsu Coal Miners' Cup Class 2 Handicap - 1300m.

No1 LOMAZZO won in dominant fashion last start at Muswellbrook and comes to a similar race here and looks hard to beat.

No2 SHOW ‘EM has been trialing in good style leading in, the form around Just Dreaming is quite good.

No5 PAH TERIE comes out of some good races in the last prep in QLD. The trials have been good enough.

No8 MR TICKETS has some very good form around him and has been trialing well coming in.

R8 – 5.40pm. Komatsu Front Runner Benchmark 63 Handicap - 1200m.

No6 ZITHER won in brilliant fashion on debut and was brilliantly backed there. She should only be improved for that race smarts wise and looks a nice prospect.

No7 ORGANZA broke the maiden in good style at the last start, the freshen and trial since has been quite good.

No10 WALSHIE has been trialing well leading into the fresh run here and gets a soft run from barrier 4.

No9 MELIBOEA gets the blinkers back on here and coming to a wide open track suits here.
