Gosford for the provincial meeting in Sydney this weekend. We have 8 races on the card here and kick off with quite an intriguing 2yo race to start the day. The weather in and around Gosford should be quite good in the lead up with the rail in the true and track good.
QUADDIES (races 5-6-7-8)
Skinny Play: 1 - 1,3 - 3 - 1,3,9
Wide Play: 1,4,6 - 1,3,5,9 - 1,2,3 - 1,3,9
BEST BET: R7 – 3. KETTERING
Next Best Bet: R5 – 1. AUERBACH
Best Roughie: R4 – 7. LINDWALL
No4 FAKE has been trialing well in the lead up for the debut run here, he gets a good run of it from gate 1 and has a chance.
No5 KING was sensationally backed on debut at Flemington in what was a good race. He should improve for the outing.
No2 COACH has trialled well coming into the debut run, the gate is a touch sticky however.
No7 SILENT AGENDA has been trialing in very smart fashion coming in EOR looks to have a smart bunch of 2yos.
VALUE RUNNER: No2 COACH
No5 IVORYMAN has been working well towards this, this time in with three very good runs. He gets a soft run here.
No2 FENCOURT drops well in grade from his last start, completely forget he ran in that as he needs maiden grade.
No6 KADOMA MAN gets in well at the weights after the claim here and gets a chance to win.
No8 COOL ONE brings a good SP profile to this, the 2100m suits much better here.
VALUE RUNNER: No2 FENCOURT
No3 KORODON comes out of some good form races and was solid enough first-up. He should take a closer position in running here.
No4 BANNER SEASON should improve for the first-up run here, the 1600m is much more suitable.
No7 SEINE NET trotted in last start in what was an average race, nothing more of a track gallop. But she should run well here.
No6 ROSHERVILLE came out of a good race on cup day and won the maiden well. This is a logical next step
VALUE RUNNER: No4 BANNER SEASON
No1 FREE WAY should get an easy enough time of it in front here and looks hard to beat again.
No7 LINDWALL (BEST ROUGHIE) has been going quite well as of late and gets in well at the weights for JVO after the claim and looks a good chance.
No5 KORODON comes out of some good form races and was solid enough first-up. He should take a closer position in running here.
No4 BOLORD has been doing quite a good job as of late without winning, she gets a good claim here.
VALUE RUNNER: No7 LINDWALL
No1 AUERBACH (NEXT BEST BET) didn’t get the best of rides first-up and got way too far back in the run there. Now that he is second-up on the tighter track, he should be able to sit a lot closer in the run. I think he is better than maiden grade.
No6 RULING LEGEND has been doing a solid enough job at the trials coming in and should run well.
No4 TEARS OF GOLD resumes without a trial coming into this and has changed stables, watch betting.
No9 I AM AWESOME has been trialing well enough to run well on debut.
VALUE RUNNER: No9 I AM AWESOME
No1 I AM LEGEND started a short price fav on debut and had some issues after the race there. The form has held up quite well and he should run well.
No3 LEAGUE OF NATIONS comes out of some very nice form races and has trialled in good order coming into this.
No5 MISSILE ATTACK has trialled well leading into this and should improve into a second preparation.
No9 LUCERE started odds on, on debut and has trialled since and in very nice time.
VALUE RUNNER: No5 MISSILE ATTACK
No3 KETTERING (BEST BET) won in super-fast time last start when breaking his maiden. Before that he had bought some very strong formlines at the midweek level into a race like that. From gate 9, he gets to sit out of trouble here and with clear running he could well give them windburn.
No1 RED EXTENSION will sit off them, and have the last shot. Trials good.
No2 IDENTIC got beaten at Goulburn last start, but gets back onto rock hard going here which suits.
No6 FAST ARLI gets a soft run of it here, and gets in well at the weights after the claim.
VALUE RUNNER: No1 RED EXTENSION
No9 AISANCE got the job done in smart order last start, she comes out of some good races at the first preparation.
No3 KANDY comes out of a super-hot form race last start behind Unforgotten. The market showed that she wasn’t going to turn up there and she didn’t run well at all.
No1 PECANS was very good at the first start for the new stable, and the step up to 1200m here looks to be much more suitable.
No6 HOOGE resumes off a long break here and did a good job winning her last three starts. No trial has me intrigued.
VALUE RUNNER: No6 HOOGE
