No9 GEORGICA has had a four-week break since his last start when running a sound sixth over 1400m maiden for 3yo at Sale on October 29. He strikes similar opposition today and the extra distance should suit him from his last start.

No5 RIVERLEA HONOURS from three starts has finished inside the money twice. Looks to have good prospect here on last start close third over 1618m at Echuca on November 3. He is rock solid for this now.

No6 SNAKE CAVERN the extra gear change of having a tongue tie could lift. He has shown some glimpses of form in the past and on his efforts in two barrier trials over 900m and 1000m looks promising here.

No7 VAINGLORIOUS had to dig very deep to claw to a narrow win over 1612m here on November 5. Was well liked that day when plunged from $8 into $4.20. Only just landed the plunge by centimetres and is down a kilo to 56.5kg.

No6 SEUL SPIRIT is a most seasoned sprinter with 53 starts under the belt. Has been racing well of late with a good fourth over 1600m at Ballarat on November 5. Rises 2.5kg to 56.5kg here for the drop in class and would respect.

R6 – 3.55pm. McIvor Estate BM70 Handicap – 1450m.

No2 LORD BARRINGTON showed he was tuned for this race with a good second over 1200m at Kyneton on November 8. He does skyrocket 3.5kg to 59.5kg here but faces a lesser opposition and is a chance.

R9 – 5.35pm. Ricky Thompson Memorial BM64 Handicap – 1200m.

No3 KNIGHT COMMANDER (NEXT BEST BET) made a very big impression at his debut for crack trainer Darren Weir when blasting his opposition over 1100m maiden at Kyneton on November 8. He raced away to win comfortably by 3.75 lengths that day. He gets a lovely alley in one and John Allen keeps the ride here.
